I have been playing with a water effect on the cheap. It uses clear school glue and cut with a little bit of rubbing alcohol to help it spread and dry quicker. I will also tint the mixture with some blues or greens depending on the look I am going for on the piece.
Was wondering how you did the gloop on the barrels - using hot glue is brilliant! And liked seeing your experiments at the beginning- glad you kept that in.
Hahaha I love hot glue it’s so versatile for miniature stuff, and glad you think so I wasn’t sure whether to include it or not, glad to hear from you my man!
I’ve always been a huge fallout fan but the show has definitely got me all riled up 😄 for sure, love some necromunda and can definitely see it at home there, thanks for watching!
@@SwampRatMiniatures no problem! I haven't got the fallout core box yet (still on the way) but I've ordered some barrels so I can give this a try! any tips on how big the piece should be?
@@harrybrass734 awesome, the core box is great value, depends if you’re going for tabletop scatter or a diorama etc but generally anything in 28mm or similar scale will work well for you 🫡
Hahaha I will make it more washed out for you 😉 I do love the colour style of fallout 3 especially, even though it’s so dreary, as it really adds to the atmosphere, thanks for watching though my man glad to hear from you
Those barrels turned out great!! Don't worry about the amount of rust on them. On my Grandpa's property, his barrels were pure rust.
Thank you my man glad you like them! Hahaha that’s reassuring, thanks for watching!

Looks amazing!
Thank you my dude, might use this technique for my next little diorama actually!

You are welcome 🤗
Not enough brown, grey, and sepia for this to work for a Fallout base, according to the games those are the only accepted colors in the wasteland :p
