God woman you can sing. To take on a song the Floor has done is big task. You absolutely slay it. Unlike most other people attempting her songs you have the untimate trick. Your pitch is right there but the big thing is you actually inhabit the inside of the song, as per Floor. If I can't listen to her ( small shudder at that thought) I would be perfectly happy to listen to you instead. THAT is about as big a compliment as I think I could pay to a singer.

Floor is probly the best fit for NW althogh Tarja was amazing in so many ways during her time in NW. Floor have a more agile vocal which leads her to be a better fit overall. And I'm pretty sure nobody will be able to beat her vocally on a NW song. I mean she sings great here but I doubt she would be able to outperform Floor on lets say Ghost Love score Live. Cause that is life changing, so is the presence of Floor when singing.

Tarja's two last albums were contemprary singing alike Anette's and Floor's, but her first albums were operatic, and NW hasn't gone back to that since Tarja. Zealous Floor fans choose always Floor as the best performer, but all are not zealous Floor fans and choose favorite performances from other singers as well.

Have in some way been a tiny bit better at writings songs that suit Floor so people see her as the better one. I will always see Tarja as one of the best, but its easy to get carried away cause Floor have some amazing vocal talents of her own. Which fit NW basically the same way as Tarja did just with another vocal twist and as you say less Opra vocally. But tbh i would much rather have Floor than Anette so NW is in the best of hands in it`s way. Things in life rarely stay the same during a generation. Same goes with music and bands, things change, people evolve and people chose another path.

I think all of them have their good songs, I have favorites from all of them. My favorite album is Anette's DPP, and Tarja is my favorite singer, but not by much! I love all three of them. But many Floor fans do not know Tarja (nor Anette) well, they don't much care Nightwish before Floor. It is a repeated thing among Floor fans, that Tarja only sings operatic, which is completely wrong. Tuomas compared Anette's and Tarja's singing style, and said this: "The soul of the music, the orchestra and choir, heavy guitars, ballads - the same elements are still there, it's just the voice that has changed. She is way better than Tarja. Tarja's voice lacks of emotion and tenderness. She may be opera-style, but that's it. Minniva already did prove, that she can do several styles.

She's really great, but Anette has a far wider voice range which makes her more talented. There's more to singing than the sound of the voice you know.
I have never had the pleasure of seeing Nightwish live but I get that. Few singers are actually good live. But her studioalbums were impeccable.She can handle very low notes as well as really high notes with both power and accuracy. She helped evolving Nightwish and I think her albums (along with Floors) are the best ones because of that.
Tarja was beat as soon Floor joined. Floor is like the perfect combination of Tarja and Annette. Not too operatic which Tarja was and far away from being too poppy like Annette. Annette is a great talent but too poppy for Nightwish. Now they can play alot of older songs too which Anette couldnt do. I love them all for what they eachbrought to Nightwish. But Floor is perfect in my OPINION

Personal opinions are personal opinions. Sometimes zealous fanbois do not accept anyone else except their own idol, and mock other ones. I think all of them have their good songs, I have favorites from all of them. My favorite album is Anette's DPP, and Tarja is my favorite singer, but not by much! I love all three of them.
But many Floor fans do not know Tarja (nor Anette) well, they don't much care Nightwish before Floor. It is a repeated thing among Floor fans, that Tarja only sings operatic, which is completely wrong. Tuomas compared Anette's and Tarja's singing style, and said this: "The soul of the music, the orchestra and choir, heavy guitars, ballads - the same elements are still there, it's just the voice that has changed. And even though it's a completely different voice, I also think that we left out the opera two albums ago! She's really great, but Anette has a far wider voice range which makes her more talented. There's more to singing than the sound of the voice you know.
I have never had the pleasure of seeing Nightwish live but I get that. Few singers are actually good live. But her studioalbums were impeccable.She can handle very low notes as well as really high notes with both power and accuracy. She helped evolving Nightwish and I think her albums (along with Floors) are the best ones because of that.
Tarja was beat as soon Floor joined. Floor is like the perfect combination of Tarja and Annette. Not too operatic which Tarja was and far away from being too poppy like Annette. Annette is a great talent but too poppy for Nightwish. Now they can play alot of older songs too which Anette couldnt do. I love them all for what they eachbrought to Nightwish. But Floor is perfect in my OPINION

Hi :) Get yourself a recording program and a mic :) Just start to record some songs, and post them with a picture. When you feel ready, get yourself a camera and film it :) You will learn something more from time to time.
