I was initially hesitant to use this video because I thought it was old and therefore outdated. I'm happy I watched though. In many ways the older the video, the more clear and closer to the roots it is
What a superb demonstration of physical phenomena that yields the kind of retainable insight that reading alone (although essential for mathematical development) never quite can... Thank you RI (and Sir LB) 👍
Incredible way to show the physics phenomena. But mechanicaly with solid pieces. Never saw this physical fenomena in a real way, not virtual, drawed or video animated.
The so-called E-M are just an appearance. In vacuum, the wave mechanism does not work, which requires the successive transformation of the energy of one field into the energy of the other. It turns out that in vacuum we have no vibration, it's just translation.

Those are great demonstrations. These videos should be shown in schools as an aid to teaching. They would make learning physics more interesting.
Amazing to see a scientist from a long gone era in such clarity.
You should look up Engineer Guy's presentation of Faraday's Christmas Lecture on candles if you like this.

I love the zenacomb model he used... I struggled to imagine what caused reflected and standing wave behavior. Bravo!
Thank you for uploading all these videos
It's so scary that most people don't even understand the technology they take for granted, and which their lives so depend on!
Much better than borrowing money in student loans.
@5.16 Sir Lawrence is showing the key to a more fuller understanding of the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic language.
i enjoy lecture a lot. it's fun to watch with many science-devices operation. i wish my school had tools like this for student
Beautiful. Brilliant.
hats off
Fantastic!
Very good lectures indeed, thanks a million for uploading thsese videos.
Thank you sir
very good, thank you sir
This nigga never disappoints lit stuff my dawg keep it up
15:20 that's how engineers figure how to build sky scraper to be earthquake proof.
Never knew Adobe archived these educational videos
Great techniques Sir. If I were your student.
Is this the discoverer of Bragg's law of x-ray diffraction?
Yep
How old is this film? Lawrence Bragg died in 1971.
From the description it seems that this set of lectures with him was recorded in 1965
