    How on earth does a broker move all of their loads themself, quickly and efficiently? I miss so many loads because I don’t even get the chance to bid on them
    I’ve struggled to do this because I’ve never studied under anyone, although I opened a brokerage and have a couple customers.

      @@TBb____ that’s a great question. There are a lot of things that go into it. Also, it depends on how and when your customers are sending you loads. Can you provide some more details?

      @@Freight360 I receive spot loads that are sent out via email. These loads are anywhere between 50-300 miles. Most of the times people do not want to go on such short runs. So I spend so much time calling carriers, posting it to the loadboard(getting no calls). By the time I call to see if the load was covered, ofcourse it's gone! So most of the time I never even bid because of a lack of carriers willing to haul the load. I have no clue how anyone who is moving lots of loads does it. I struggle trying to even cover 1.

      If the origin and destination pairs are similar or somewhat regular you should start building a carrier network you can call for those lames as loads become available. As you work with carriers always ask them where they operate or like to go and keep notes in your tms. This will keep the information readily available and cut out the time. Building relationships on both sides of the transaction creates the efficiencies.
