One of them looks more excited than the other, haha. The not-so-excited one is going, "Okay.... Go!" and acts like he's going to chase after the other, but only runs about a foot. Cracks me up.
Lol! Too funny! I love 1:44 where the one starts slowly moving toward the other like "You can't seeee meeee." My westie, Lily, loves to play tag with anyone who will chase her! It's too funny! She even adds the traditional westie hop to it :)! I love westies! Best dogs ever!
LOL...I have just returned from a great 2 hour walk in our local meadows and my 4 were playing "tag" and chasing 2 other Westies(aged 2 and 3)..Last week my 4 met a Westie Family of 3(2,18 months and 4 months!).all 7 Westies were chasing and enjoying each others company.Both these visits brought home to me how sociable Westies are and how they love playmates!:)
I own a 12 week old puppy, and she is lovely! They make such greta pets, and they are so loving, loyal, and funny, like the ones in the video! :D Westies are great pets!

I love Westies. I love how clever they are, they can actually anticipate your next move. These 2 are showing typical Westie behaviour. My favourite dogs. My one is called Rocco, he is only 2 years old but is so clever you would think he'd been here before. ❤ to all Westies.
I love my Westie. She sits in my lap every night. When I had shoulder surgery and had to slope in my recliner, she slept there too. When I had Covid she stayed quarantined with me. They are wonderful dogs. We have had two but not at the same time. Our first Westie took up with my wife but this one took up with me. She is sitting with me now.

Remember. that Westies are very playful and love to have another Westie as a Brother/Sister to be a companion at home when you are not around or in the Park so they can have plenty of adventures together:) If they have great owers like you and another Westie as a Soulmate and doggie friend and companion then they have totally fulfilled lives. I got my first Westie 20 years ago. She had a lovely live it was so much better when her brother arrived 5 years later :) Good Luck..

LOL.I have 4 Westies.2 Boys(Sammy 10,Max7) and 2 Half-Sisters Alice and Phoebe both 6 this month!it is hilarious seeing the 2 sisters chase each other and Sammy on the periphery desperately trying to join in!.My Katie died aged 16 3 years ago and Sammy used to stay with us for 11 months of the year.When he did they had the greatest fun together.ALWAYS get a play-mate where possible Guys!I only lasted 3 days after Katie and a Family of 3 came together!.Then Sammy came full-time! We got our westies at separate times- our older guy Murphy is almost 9 and Aimee is 5 and they play exactly the same way . . .the video is hilarious and enjoyable because I can imagine how hard it was to take a video of them doing it- westies have a natural aversion to being caught on film when they are up to mischief. We call that creeping forward "The Stalk".
We also have two Westies and they zoom through the house going upstairs and than running downstairs through t he hallway & livingroom.They sure are so cute. Mine are two male Westies. Yours are so cute and what a great place to play hide and seek.
I have a Westie someone gave him to me .Had him 2 yrs.now he is 10 yrs.old now ,I wouldn't give him up for nothing.When u can j take him everywhere with me he sleeps with me too.he truly is my furbaby.

Watching this video is bittersweet for me, as my family just put down our Westie who was 16 years 8 months old. Her name was Britian, and she is irreplaceable. Her kidneys had started to fail, and she was deaf and partially blind, with hip and joint problems. Westie are the best breed of terrior on the planet. Miss you old girl.

Still have great memories 5 years later of Katie but having other Westies has filled the void and stopped me being miserable over Katie, who was a fabulous dog. Ideally get 2 Westies!:)

I think it's a Westie thing! My Westie, she's 5 months old now, she has these energy spurts around 8:30/9:00pm every night. It's the strangest thing, she'll be calm and happy all day then like clock work she'll have running fits lol.
The world feels emptier without them doesn't it? I sometimes expect to walk in the house and see her at some point. My family is currently watching my uncle's Wire Hair Fox Terrier for the weekend. Even though I like my uncle's dog, it can't replace my own. Westies are just a better breed of terrier for me. My mother had three Wire Hair Foxes growing up, but I never liked them much because of their hit or miss disposition. Westies are more of a sure thing when comes to temperment.
I wish I had a **insert unit of currency of your choice here** for every time I played this game with my Westie, especially, for some reason known only to him, on Friday afternoons. I love the way at the end they both seem to say "yeah, OK, game over..."
They are VERY sociable dogs!:) I only had one b4 which was a mistake:Katie lived until she was 16 and had a great life but it was much better when Young Sammy(Male) stayed.They played endlessly and it kept her YOung.Within one week of Darling Katie passing on I had four Westies:Sammy(given to me) and 3 others that only came because the heartbroken Woman was divorcing her Husband.She was a wonderful owner and now I have:Phoebe and Alice both 6,Max 7 and Sammy 10:)

You are getting a Westie for the next 15 years NOT just for "christmas"....to be walked in ALL weathers and whatever mood you are in. He/She is a VERY active and clever cheeky breed of dog and needs PLENTY of non-stop love AND attention AND walks...:) I had 4 Westies recently and the 2 boys died ( one in 2011 and one 6 weeks ago) and the 2 girls are both 10 now. ENJOY as they are the most lovable dogs you could have but keep them happy and stimulated, please..
Update from 8 years ago. My 2 wonderful Girls passed in the following year. The last of the 4, probably, from a broken heart as she was the life and soul of the Group and was left on her own.... I have had 3 more Non-Westies since, all near me now as I write this. THey are 7,5 and 2. See you in another 8 years when I will be almost 75...
Yes, Candi. When I lost my first Westie I ended up getting 2 Boys and 2 Girls within 3 weeks as there was such an empty void and the house was so quiet. I still think of all 4 of them all the time... Good Luck with you and your lovely boy :)

I missed her sooo much that I IMMEDIATELY threw myself back in the fray by getting four Westies within a week, and getting Sammy, Max, Phoebe and Alice is the best move I ever made 9well other than moving to The London Suburbs!):).... I'm sure U R a great owner and you will still have all your wonderful memories of Paddy but U can have real pleasure with another Westie(s).!!:)

Also, allergy shots are very effective in many cases. I have severe hayfever and asthma and I have two cats. My allergist never recommended getting rid of our cat at the time I tested positive for dander, he only suggested my mom vacuum often, keep him out of my room, and that I brush him every day. With allergy shots I overcame my allergy to dander in less than a year. It won't work for everyone, but there's no need to get all caught up in the "hypoallergenic dog" thing.
This just proves how incredibly smart AND playful westies are. They are super!
