CSX SD70M's, UP Power, Manifest/Intermodal Mixes, + More Railfanning CSX's Abbeville Sub (Sep. 2017)

Watch in HD! Compared to August, September 2017 was infinitely better for railfanning the CSX Abbeville Subdivision. A wide variety of power including many EMD leaders, lots of UP power, a military train, and friendly crews. Of note are the new manifest and intermodal mixes of Q580 and Q581, the only two remaining daily manifests on the Abbeville. Manifest traffic to and from Hamlet, Cincinnati, and New Orleans now flow via different routes, leaving the bare minimum for this line. Despite that fact, September was still a good time to be along the Abbeville, so I hope you enjoy the multitude of trains. Thanks for watching!

Caught that same power on Q697 coming into Bostic, NC a few weeks ago. the UP 4444 was leading a well also. Nice video, really enjoyed watching it.

Great video, completely enjoyed it! Although only one pair left, manifests fortunately never look the same. With remaining coal trains and autoracks + some special trains visits, the Abbeville is still a nice place to railfan :) The increased speed in some parts is really great feature.
