That's up to the owner! The hair curls naturally and it takes a lot of work throughout the bathing and drying process to stretch it out so that every strand is the same length for clipping/scissoring. If you want to ease out the curl between baths, spray with cold water and back-brush (that is,brush against the direction of hair growth) with a slicker brush.

Actually depends on the owner's maintenance of the coat and the length of the coat. The most common would be 4-6 weeks for full grooming.
