3 things: 1. Amazing work here. One of the best Knuckle Puck covers I've seen. 2. What tuning is this? 3. Are you planning on doing more Knuckle Puck in the near future? I look forward to seeing more!
ryan299xd thanks man! The tuning is a half step down. It could probably be played in Drop C# also. And yes! I've already got a cover of No Good up, and once their album comes out I want to do at least 1 more song from there. :)
MattMosca17 A lot of their stuff is in half step down, so I'm not surprised, but this was a great cover, and I look forward to more. I'm personally attempting to learn "True Contrite" by ear, which is the first Knuckle Puck song I've tried to learn by ear. Their new album is up in full in RUclips if you haven't already checked it out. I'd love to see a cover of "Wall to Wall" or "In your crosshairs." Those are my personal favorites. But yeah, you definitely gained a new subscriber after this cover. This one looked like hard work, especially the lead part.
ryan299xd Yeah most of their songs are tuned down a bit! I'm glad you liked the cover though man. I've actually listened to the album already and I really liked Wall to Wall. That'll probably be one I do. I found true contrite to be a bit mellow for my taste, but it was still well put together. Hope it goes well! I'm sure other people have covers of it up by now if you need help on a part. Thanks for watching and subscribing though man :)
+Ryan Skinner You got it man, I'm going to probably do a Neck Deep or Wonder Years or Tonight Alive song next, but after I'll do it :) can't have too much KP in a row lol
Nice cover dude. I play this song on my guitar with typical Standard EADGBe tuning with chords in verses Bb Gm F Eb, then in chorus Gm F Eb, then in the interlude Bb F Gm F Bb Eb, then in Bridge Gm F Bb Eb Gm F Eb. Since your tuning is Half Step Down, is that also the tuning that Knuckle Puck used in this song?
+MattMosca17 PLEASE tab this. I can't for the life of me figure out these weird ass chords haha. Or maybe just provide us the general chords for the song?
What recording software do you use because the tone sounds noice? Also what video software do you use to get the two videos going at the same time because id like to start doing dual parts on my other channel I do covers on? Really good cover!
hey thanks man! I use REAPER for the audio. I just put a little EQ and compression on the guitar tracks. I use Sony Vegas for the video but I'd imagine any decent video software would be capable of overlaying 2 video tracks. I'll let you know the whole process if you still have questions :)
MattMosca17 Thanks man, the only other thing I'd like to know is do you play into an amp and record that or do you have software that you use to get the guitar tones? For example I use POD Farm.
Thanks man! This one wasn't easy to learn haha. I'll give evergreen a good listen to see what I can come up with. I'm going to cover State Champs' "Losing Myself" and a Neck Deep song next though :)
Ido Kuttner Yeah, I learn all these by ear. I've got a basic understanding of music too though. haha so after I learn it I can go back and figure out what key its in, etc.
Nice one, sounds great! :) it's like the most accurate way to get the notes. I learn by ear too hehe. Great work, keep playing the guitar mate and making awesome covers :D
+Mohammed Shah Power chords. Sort of. haha The first chord is just a Bmajor power chord with an F# added to it. I play it differently now than I did in the video, so play the 2nd fret on the 5th string, the 4th fret on the 4th, and the 6th fret on the 3rd. Its a bit of a stretch, and you're gonna need your pinky for the 6th fret. Next is just a B octave chord (power chord without the 5th, just the two octaves), then a major third in F#. So 2nd fret on the 6th string, and 3rd fret on the 3rd string. Then an F# octave with the 4th fret of the 4th string, and the 7th fret of the 2nd string.
some of the tone might be coming from the original recording, but all the equipment I used is in the description. I tried my best not to overdo the distortion, and played with the EQ a bit in Reaper also
I always wondered how do you do the guitar effect like the one at 0:02? Where you give it like a beeping sound. I never understood how to do that. If anyone could tell me what technique that's called so I could watch a video to figure it out that be great.
It's called a harmonic man. if you notice, my finger when I do it is in between frets. right on the actual piece that splits them up (idk what it's called). the easiest one to do this with is in between the 11th and 12th fret. basically, rest your finger in between them on the string. don't push the string down at all, just kinda barely lay it on top of the string. and then pluck it normal lol
yeah they're weird. I'll just tell you the names of each mote in the chord as it relates to standard tuning (just pretend we're in E standard) So first chord: F# on the 5th string (9th fret), then a B on the 4th (9th fret), and D# on the 3rd string (8th fret). skip the low E string. Next chord is F# on the 5th again, A# on 4th (8th fret), and C# on 3rd (6th fret). Next is E on 5th (7th fret), G# on 4th (6th fret), then B on 3rd (4th fret) on each chord, strum all the strings except the low E. so strum the first two strings open with the chords. hope that helps!!
I can to but no where near as good as this.. props man. here I am replaying your video trying to get the parts down XD what strings are you using for the very first chord at the beginning of the song
badass man

If you have a song you'd like to see a cover/lesson for post it in the comments!!
+Ryan Skinner You got it man, I'm going to probably do a Neck Deep or Wonder Years or Tonight Alive song next, but after I'll do it :) can't have too much KP in a row lol

Nice man!
This is sick. I'd love to see a tab made!
Patrick-Raphael Perez Thanks man! I'll start working on it soon and I'll post it in the description :)
I know you don't want to do too much KP, but untitled is a masterpiece of a song.... If you could do it that'd be awesome
Great cover dude it's awesome! :)
+Chicoelmo thanks man :)
Nice
I figured most of the song out but how do you play the lead part in the chorus??
Nice cover dude. I play this song on my guitar with typical Standard EADGBe tuning with chords in verses Bb Gm F Eb, then in chorus Gm F Eb, then in the interlude Bb F Gm F Bb Eb, then in Bridge Gm F Bb Eb Gm F Eb.
Since your tuning is Half Step Down, is that also the tuning that Knuckle Puck used in this song?
jeremyunderground41 yeah, Knuckle Puck plays all their songs a half step down.
Please make a tab dude I can't figure it out
Name tuning guitar
where you from ?
You're so good ;)
Really good cover! It would be awesome if you could tab this out.
Tjlax03 Thanks! I may do this soon. This video has gotten views faster than any other I've posted lol
+MattMosca17 PLEASE tab this. I can't for the life of me figure out these weird ass chords haha. Or maybe just provide us the general chords for the song?

+FE1261 I record through a mic. I use an AT2020 and just stick it right up against my amp haha
Haha, well it works! Thanks again
Holy shit, sick song, sick cover man, would love to see the same treatment to Evergreen!
Thanks man! This one wasn't easy to learn haha. I'll give evergreen a good listen to see what I can come up with. I'm going to cover State Champs' "Losing Myself" and a Neck Deep song next though :)
On behalf of everyone else here, I really hope you publish the tabs for this song. With a bit of touch up, what you're playing would be correct.
Please give us a tab for the lead work. I would love to learn this.
Amazing! you are so good, nice one! do you learn by ear? :)
Will do man, thanks for always watching!
My pleasure bro :)
what type of chords are u playing at the start?
+Mohammed Shah Power chords. Sort of. haha The first chord is just a Bmajor power chord with an F# added to it. Could yo please submit the tab?

hey man have you got tabs for this?
Can u cover chocolate by knuckle puck
are u use overdrive pedal ? or else ?
that sound so good
some of the tone might be coming from the original recording, but all the equipment I used is in the description. I tried my best not to overdo the distortion, and played with the EQ a bit in Reaper also

August 1st? So you're from Salt Lake then? Cause I went to warped that day too haha
Haha I'm from Las Vegas, I made the trip out to Salt Lake though!
Oh that's sick. That was such a fun day!
+Matt Williams It was! haha they announced the dates for this year and they're coming to Vegas, so I won't have to drive so far to see it again
dude, cant seem to figure out the solo guitar strum on the late bridge (transition to last chorus).
yeah they're weird. I'll just tell you the names of each mote in the chord as it relates to standard tuning (just pretend we're in E standard)

on each chord, strum all the strings except the low E. so strum the first two strings open with the chords. hope that helps!!
+MattMosca17 *note
What is that high pitch ringing I hear at 1:13?
HalomasterA69 bad technique/shitty tone probably. They can't all be perfect lol
This is awesome! Tab?
you're the third person to ask so I guess I have to make one now hahaha
I can't tell what the second chord from the beginning is.
Drivabletoaster that ones just a B octave thing lol
MattMosca17 ohhhh lol just with your pinky. Thanks for the response.
Drivabletoaster yeah haha I use my pinky a lot cause my hands are small
what tuning is this?
it's a half step down!
+Greg Bradshaw standard just all strings half step down
Tuning?
Eb standard homie
Can you post some tabs for this? I can't for the life of me figure out those wonky chords
+jbshaver829 Haha, I didn't think I'd get so many requests for tabs. I'll make one!
did you just learn this all by ear?
StepSlap Studios yeah, I learn everything by ear!
I can to but no where near as good as this.. props man. here I am replaying your video trying to get the parts down XD what strings are you using for the very first chord at the beginning of the song
its just a B power chord with the 6th fret of the 3rd string attached
Also you'd be my hero if you could tab it out. It's hard to learn by ear for me
Lesson please
tab? :o
Please do a lesson on this man, great job.
I never thought about lessons.. lol everyone always wants tabs but those are so boring to write
