The explosion was absolutely awful in the movie. Should have just used CGi, or at least gotten more creative. It wasn’t that it was just underwhelming, it was almost comical that it was built up so much only to be an obvious gasoline explosion.

It was really awful... Took me out of the movie completely. Should have used CGI IMO. Look at the Nuke scene in The Creator... (not the shots taken from Beirut of course)
