    The TOTO S550e Washlet and the Bio Bidet BB-2000 are two of the best bidet toilet seats that money can buy. Both models are fully loaded with features like a heated seat, endless warm water, warm air dryer, adjustable nozzles, slow closing seats and lids, wireless remote, adjustable spray pressure and more. Although these two luxury seats have much in common, let's take a look at what sets them apart.
    Design
    TOTO’s high end washlets have always been known for their superior, low profile design. The S550e continues this trend with a bidet seat that stands at just 4 1/2” tall. Its lid has a unibody look which covers the entire rear panel and comes in one of two styles: contemporary or classic.
    The Bio Bidet BB-2000, on the other hand, is slightly wider and taller in the rear. It sports a silver accent that runs across its rear portion adding to its robust look that’s more similar to other bidet seats on the market.
    Spray Capability
    The Bio Bidet BB-2000 has some of the strongest spray pressure on the electronic bidet market. Its superior spray is its main strength and users who prefer a more powerful wash will definitely favor the BB-2000. Its rear wash is about 10% stronger than the TOTO’s “hard spray” option when set to max.
    The Bio Bidet also has the unique enema function. The enema function is a powerful, narrow spray that helps alleviate constipation.
    The TOTO S550e also offers a great spray, although not quite as powerful as the BB-2000.
    The TOTO has two different spray modes for both the front and rear wash functions. Its default setting is a wider, softer spray pattern that soothes as it cleanses. The second mode is what TOTO calls a “hard spray” which is stronger, narrower and feels more like other bidet seat sprays on the market.
    Water Heating Type
    While both models offer endless warm water, the Bio Bidet 2000 utilizes a hybrid heating system. This means that the seat’s heating system functions by having a small reservoir of warm water preheated. During a wash, the BB-2000 will draw from this reservoir while also continuing to heat the water for an endless supply.
    The TOTO Washlet S550e, on the other hand, uses a tankless water heater. This means that there’s no internal reservoir with preheated water as it heats the water on-demand during a wash. This method is the most energy efficient because nothing is preheated.
    Unique Features
    Enema Function - The TOTO S550e does not have this feature.
    User Presets: The TOTO S550e has the ability to save 2 user presets on the remote control. This will save the water temp and spray pressure settings of 2 different people. The Bio Bidet 2000 does not have this feature.
    Soft and Hard Spray - The TOTO S550e has two different spray patterns, you have your choice between a softer, soothing wash or a stronger cleansing stream.
    EWATER+ - TOTO offers its exclusive “E-WATER Plus” feature with the S550e. It uses electrolyzed water to premist the toilet bowl between uses and also to clean its nozzles.
    Automatic Lid and Seat - The TOTO S550e has a fully automatic lid that senses when you approach and lifts the lid and seat automatically. The Auto function can also be turned off and the seat and lid can be raised and lowered via the remote.
    Remote Control
    The remote for the TOTO S550e is a dual sided remote. The front side offers a touchpad with all the basic functions, while the rear side has an LCD screen with more in depth options. The remote fits in one hand and is beautifully ergonomic.
    Differences in Nozzle Construction
    The Bio Bidet BB-2000 uses a stainless steel nozzle while the TOTO S550e uses a high grade plastic nozzle. Both seats have self cleaning systems for keeping the nozzles clean between uses and utilize a single nozzle with different sections for their wash functions.
    Warranty
    The TOTO S550e is covered by a 1 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty while the BB-2000 is covered by a 3 year Manufacturer’s Warranty.
    Conclusion
    Both the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the TOTO S550e washlets are excellent choices. Which one is better for you? Well that comes down to a handful of things. If you’re looking for function over form and want some of the strongest spray pressure available, enema function, reasonable price, and the ability to have a warranty that can be extended up to 6 years, then the BB-2000 is the bidet for you. If you’re looking for the best bidet toilet seat that money can buy, and love the idea of the latest and greatest technology with an automatic lid, EWATER+, and low profile design, then the TOTO S550e is the one for you. Whatever your choice you really can’t go wrong.

    TOTO is far superior. My first two bidets were the Bio Bidets and my wife and I loved them. After about five years we replaced two Bio Bidets and then, we came across the TOTO wash-let. We've had the TOTO now for about ten years and it is still working great.

      I'm curious as to why the toto is far superior in your opinion? Did your bios stop working at some point? Just watching the video, I would be inclined to go with the bio just based on the features, but then you throw the price in and it seems like a pretty easy pick. Just want to hear from someone that has used both.

      @@TheClutchVOD Both Bio Bidets Plastic started to crack just after around two years. the first bio-bidet then starting leaking from the water reservoir so, we replaced it with the second one, it lasted a little over two years before the seat cracked completely in half. Long term the TOTO has been well worth the extra money. I hope that helps either way. If you have the extra money buy the TOTO.

    The Toto has features that is not available in the BB 2000. Example no E water feature and the hose that sticks out on the BB 2000 is not pleasing to the eye. Glad I bought the Toto s550e.

    “Een my contry we have no t.p.!” Cornholio is right. Butt-blasters rule! We have 2 Biobidet under seat cheap attachments, and one drips constantly into the toilet, and the dual nozzle one leaked and my husband tried everything he could to fix it, to no avail. I go into his bathroom to use his drippy single nozzle unit for #2, which I do a few times a day, but I have an overactive bladder, so I use my now bidetless bathroom for that, but have to use t.p. to wipe. He gets annoyed that I use his bathroom to poo, butt, I’ve been too spoiled to wipe after enjoying superior posterior cleaning, and he’s become too spoiled to share his toilet with me. We used to have only one bathroom and no bidet attachments.
    I think I’ll invest in a Toto washlet, since the biobidets didn’t keep working well after only 4 years. Butt, I don’t need one with this many bells and whistles.

    I had two toto s550e washlets in my prior home. I just bought a new house and installed one new Toto. Because I was doing a lot of remodeling and money became tight, I decided to try the biobidet in a second bathroom to save a few hundred dollars. Although I will keep it and am happy I saved some money, I have to be honest, it's like comparing a luxury car to an economy car. Toto is superior in every way. That said, there are a lot of worse bidets than the biobidet, that's for sure. And it's acceptable. But it's not a Toto Washlet!

    • @MikeTrieu
      @MikeTrieu 4 года назад +2

      This video says the max water pressure is higher on the BB-2000. What exactly did you find superior in the Toto? Why should I care about "electrolyzed water"?

    • @dantheman6931
      @dantheman6931 4 года назад +4

      Mike Trieu electrolyzed water is a disinfectant which means it is truly self cleaning and far more hygienic

    • @pablo12250
      @pablo12250 4 года назад +7

      @@MikeTrieu The toto is sleek and doesn't take up much space. The biobidet is huge and clunky (ugly). It takes up twice as much space. The controls on the biobidet are hit and miss. Sometimes nothing happens when you press button so you have to press several times. There are more nooks and crannies on the biobidet so when it gets dirty (splashed with dirty water), it is much harder to wipe down. The biggest negative of the biobidet is that it has a tank water heater. So after about 20-30 seconds the water is freezing cold. You'd better get your business done within 30 seconds. The toto has a tankless water heater so continuous endless supply of hot water. Biobidet is noisy. Toto is not. Now in my new house I have one of each. Although I am getting used to the biobidet and to it's limitations, I much prefer the toto. The one function that I do think is better on the biobidet is the vortex (enema) function, where it squirts a stream of water at higher pressure into your rectum, so it is like getting a small enema, and helping to stimulate a bowel movement. The toto has a similar function, but I think the biobidet's vortex works better. But then again, the biobidet vortex function causes more splashing and is harder to clean because there are more crevices in the equipment. So I'm careful to not use it unless necessary because I'll have to spend 5 minutes wiping down with Clorox wipes afterwords. When I weigh the price (500 vs 1000 US dollars, I would say, if you have the money, go with the Toto. I wish I had gotten a second Toto, rather than the biobidet. But, if you want to save money, then the biobidet is ok. Both are way better than a plain cold water bidet. OUCH!

    • @pablo12250
      @pablo12250 4 года назад +3

      @@MikeTrieu You shouldn't care about electrolyzed water. Also, other things I like about the toto, I forgot to mention, are that the lid opens when you approach it automatically. Plus you just have to press a button on the wall remote if you also want to raise the seat to pee. You don't have to touch the seat at all. Sounds lazy to care about that, but after you get used to it you really appreciate it. The seat and lid close automatically when you walk away.

      @@MikeTrieu The other option is to compare the Toto 550 to the Brondell 1400. I have the Brondell 1000 model now and I cannot imagine needing more powerful water pressure. The pressure seems quite high to me, and I haven't had to make it any higher than the default setting. You can find the Brondell models at their outlet for a significantly lower than list price. The Toto features are nice that Brondell doesn't have but not enough for more than double the price, imo. I am here looking to decide on whether we go w/ the Toto 550 or the Brondell 1400 for our second bidet. Good luck choosing. I am sure you will be happy with whatever you decide on.

Is the looks, electrolysed water and an automatic lid worth the 600 dollar premium? I don't think so.

      @@AustinMichael It really depends. Both are better than a cold water manual flush. It's kind of like a Kia vs a Mercedes. Both have their market niche. Many Kia owners think a Mercedes is a waste of money. Many Mercedes owners think a Kia is a piece of crap. I have both BioBidet and Toto. I use them both. I actually use the biobidet more frequently because of it's location. When it breaks I will replace it with another Toto. In my opinion the Toto is better in every way. More compact, easier to clean, more quiet, better constructed, looks better, sturdier, unlimited how water. It is pricy though, and I can see why for many people that price is not worth it. I really can understand that. But if you compare the two side by side and forget about price, there is no comparison.
