  • Understanding the role of neurotransmitters in Lyme Disease symptoms is crucial. This video explores the connection between neurotransmitters and Lyme Disease, shedding light on how this affects the body and mind.
In this insightful video, a Lyme disease expert, Dr. Cameron delves into the complex relationship between neurotransmitters and Lyme disease. Unlike the straightforward connection of nerves in an electrical system, our nervous system relies on chemicals called neurotransmitters to transmit signals quickly and efficiently.
Dr. Cameron explains how these neurotransmitters can cause dramatic fluctuations in Lyme disease symptoms. Patients may experience sudden changes in their feelings triggered by various factors such as antibiotics, diet, barometric pressure, or stress. These rapid shifts, from feeling fine to feeling awful the next, can be overwhelming for patients and their families.
Watch this video to understand how Lyme disease can lead to waves of symptoms that seem uncontrollable, all driven by the delicate balance (or imbalance) of neurotransmitters in the body.
