This works only when your child is the only user on the iPad. If you disable the restriction for your own use, you will need to re-enable all the specific restrictions when you give the iPad to your child next time. iOS does not remember your restriction settings. There really should be different profiles for adult users and children users.
Thank you for the video! It’s now 2022 and as of 2021’s 9th generation, I still don’t see the ability to have different profiles under one iPad to avoid the inconvenience of enabling/disabling restrictions. They certainly do this to encourage buying two instead of sharing one. That’s the one and only downside I’ve seen thus far.
With my android ( Samsung) device, it just has a single button which enables kids mode and it'll automatically do all that..and it's disabled only via fingerprint or a code..can't believe with apple you'd have to go to all that..thanks for the video, i searched all the settings on my ipad and couldn't find it
What a problem it is to try to keep the kids from toxic content on the iPad, it is both parent's fault and Apple's but Apple doesn't help too much when you want to do something about it.
How to make your iPad kid-friendly: 1) do not give your child an iPad. Introduce them to the other side of the front and back door. The best videogame there ever was, the outdoors. It's like Minecraft but irl!
@@erikholum4772 learning how to navigate an ipad and computer isn't a huge learning curve. It's best to teach them how to navigate a computer. But most importantly learning life skills, hobbies, etc outside. Even so much as driving around and knowing interesting places to visit is far more valuable. At the point they need to know how to use an ipad for a job, trust me it won't take them long to figure out. I work with 40 and 50 year olds who understand it at the level that matters.
My god, setting this app up was needlessly complex. I am about ready to just delete the mess. Google, with all of its resources and talent could easily make language a single choice. So…why don’t they? FOLLOW THE MONEY: With all of your searches, you or your child will inevitably select many videos that are NOT in the language you want to watch, thus increasing ad revenue for Google with you and I, paying the price. Once again, the product Is you and I…and now, your kids.

Have they changed this by 2020?
Buy a separate one

i love that forest wallpaper. i want the link please
It's a personal photo I took.
How did u do that?
But, enabling restrictions will mess up the screen settings (app arrangement)..so keep that in mind when trying to remove restrictions
nothing beats Samsung's Kids Mode
please make a video that say if we have a update how we lit it go
Really simple if you just go through your setting anyway on any device. Rules too! It's up to Parents...
What if you don't have the second option

Parental Control and Kids friendly devices are 2 different things.
So you like skibidi toliet huggy wuggy rainbow friends kids?
Step 1: Don’t give them one
Make your kid IPad friendly
I have an iPad Pro 9.7. I think this is the best Apple device. Exactly what I need.
Changiz K Baluch That's awesome.
Changiz K Baluch I have the 12.9 which I love because of the huge display

It's okay in moderation. Ipads/tech can help kids learn more easily and prepare them for the use of tech in their future careers.

If you put the app restrictions on it will be harder for kids to find a game they like. Rather be safe than sorry
