@@drrd4062 Can you recommend any RD/R5 resources to get my bike running? I had it running at one point pretty rough but working on it made it run not at all. It’s my first 2 stroke bike
@@drrd4062 Charged battery, new points, new plugs (gapped), fresh gas (premix), cleaned carbs (compressed air and carb cleaner. On the first kick, it kicks back pretty hard. Then the second kick it almost takes off but dies. No clue why really. I have a dial gauge that I screw into the plug holes to set the points. The points were also gapped within spec.
Thank you for making these videos, been a great help rebuilding my 71 R5!
Another great video! Thank you very much for making these.

Lacing is easy , true is the tricky part
True! The video I have linked in the description explains the truing nicely, have a look. I followed and it took me 20 minutes to true my rim.

Will Green, are you burning any oil yet?
Are the spokes Stainless Steel?
No, they are original spokes which I got re- chromed. Wanted to keep parts original. I got the hub vapor blasted and buffed. The rim was re-chromed.
You might want to correct your video that there's actually 36 spokes on the wheel, not 32 as you state.
