That point about needing another job to have medical is actually an interesting one. I understand that if you were to set up your own legitimate business those are things you need to consider... but MLM's seem like they promote themselves as simple and easy to do, easy cash etc and market themselves towards people who clearly have no business knowledge and would never consider these aspects.

We see a lot of the bigger beach body uplines on calls like this, telling their downlines to just get out there and start doing team calls with their own downline. This is a window into how it looks when the upline hasn’t been taught how to do her own job either. This is why network marketing doesn’t work.

To be fair, these tactics aren’t exclusive to MLMs. Almost every commission-based sales job is like this, whether selling cabinets at a home improvement store or wedding gowns at a bridal shop. Sales is about giving every last ounce of your soul to the job, because if you don’t, you must not want success. It is such a draining ways to live. There is absolutely no stability of income. I have known so many sales people who literally ruined their marriages and their families because they just had to chase down that one last lead or constantly check their emails through dinner or miss their kid’s soccer games to go schmooze a client. I got stuck working in sales after college because I graduated in 2011, when the US economy was crap. I worked like 60 hours a week and only made about $37,000. Of course, when I interviewed, the regional sales manager told me I would be earning $90,000+, and to a naive, new graduate, it sounded amazing.
Replace the MLM jargon and it's just as bad as any other company's, "this could have been an email," meetings. At least with other companies, though, I got hourly wages plus commission. At one job, the district manager would flat out tell us to read along with the email...smh
A HS acquaintance does this and has nearly 11k followers on FB. She's attractive, fit but she's annoying everyone with her Beachbody. Her father sadly committed suicide years ago and every story starts with her father committing suicide (it happened over 15 years ago). It's still sad but she really pushed people into this. It seems like she was able to make money with Team Beach Body but I'm sure none of her friends have. I think they do stuff for her because they felt bad for her?? Anyway, her FB page is updated almost daily about how great her life is and how yours can be to..
Are you familiar with Shannon Watts and that tragic story? Though obviously what happened to her isn't related to MLMs, watching the documentary (American Murder: The Family Nextdoor) was a real lesson in how personal these salespeople have to get on their social media. Your whole life if your pitch. And she was totally sincere about it like she wasn't even being phony, but it was necessary for her job.
My own daughter almost dropped out of college to go all in with Beachbody after being pressured by her coach. Gross!

It sounds like a nightmare, I've never worked commission but I've had to do mildly pushy retail and I just haaated it
Funny how I got a beachbody ad on this video 😅
Literally got a beachbody ad in the middle of this video, the youtube ad algorithm is fucking weird
Okay. You’re freakin adorable. New subscriber here! ❤️
I literally got a beach body ad in the middle of this video hahahaha
Replace the MLM jargon and it's just as bad as any other company's, "this could have been an email," meetings. At least with other companies, though, I got hourly wages plus commission.
At one job, the district manager would flat out tell us to read along with the email...smh
honestly they should call downlines underlings. that would be more honest
Hey Emma, where did you get your Leia poster? I've looked online with no luck, would love that in my office :)
Great content and great jumper! :-)
As I'm watching this you're at 664 subscribers-- 2 to go!!
So close :D
3k as of now
"Hello lovely people" *smashes subscribe in nonbinary* ..... *hears you call them "underlings"* WHY NO SMASH SUBSCRIBE TWICE?
lol you're way over 666 now
What’s that center poster in background above Pikachu?
What are they called? Not underlings :D
I am glad I found you.
I love the sweater! Where did you get it?
OMG!! I love your sweater! Do you mind sharing where you purchased it?
It's from this etsy seller! www.etsy.com/uk/shop/KookieAndRookie
I got an add for beachbody on this video about beachbody being bad......
Is that Perjury Tailor Green?
sounds an awful lot like grooming.
Underling is correct.
Should be called accountability calls. Lol. Guilt calls . Lol
Underlings is probably correct 😬🤣😎
