- Cornerback is still a top need for the Steelers in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Steelers have Donte Jackson to play CB2 opposite Joey Porter Jr and will need a nickel cornerback, however, Jackson is not the full answer. The Steelers have looked into and been to the Pro Days of some of the top CB Draft Prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft, including Clemson's Nate Wiggins and Alabama's Kool Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold. All could be 1st Round Selections. Steelers also brought in Rutgers CB Max Melton for a Top 30 visit, pairing him with Nate Wiggins, Andru Phillips, and MJ Devonshire as the only CBs to have Top 30 Visits for Steelers. It's looking like Steelers will take a Cornerback early. Who do you want the Steelers to draft?

His Pro Day was today, and he tested great! Not sure if any representation from the Steelers but they brought in his teammate DT Logan Lee for a Top 30 visit today so eyeballs are on Coop. Don't think he falls at 20 but he's a baller.

I love Donte’s speed and play style, but for some reason I feel like Cory Trice is going to be a stud if he’s healthy. I could be wrong, but I like his frame and hes real close with JPJ.
It's hard to judge him since he was part of a terrible situation with a losing franchise.
He was often forced to be the CB1 for Carolina, he’s a good CB2 has tremendous speed and is a risk taker who will use his IQ for interceptions and pass breakups.

I couldn’t agree more! Between DeJean and Queen our days of getting lit up by TEs and slot wrs would be over.
If we don't grab DeJean (which I don't expect) I would be happy if they grab Khyree Jackson in the 3rd.
Hate a CB in Rd1. It's #4 on our list of needs. Center, WR, and RT are higher. Wiggins would especially be a bad pick. He's fast but way too thin to play in the AFC North. He'll get his ass kicked.
I say RT C WR then CB but thats me all C are falling and its pretty clear you can grav one early to mid second thats a day 1 starter id ratger get the tackle to kick dan moore out and use him as a trade piece day 2 to move up for our center whether JPJ Graham barton or Frazier one will be there and van pran isnt a bad fall back option but then youd need to sign/trade for someone till hes ready
They should trade back in the 1st and get more picks. I would go with Center and DT with the 1st two picks. Max Melton looks like a Steelers type of football player.
STOP with the DT talk you can get one as depth later when we have more pressing needs. Im tired of guys like you thinking you know the needs and draft out of order. Its C/CB if not OT falls to 20 pick 51 is the opposite of pick 1 84 will be WR/OT and 98 will be opposite THEN you draft depth pieces later like a DT an EDGE an IOL or double dip at WR or CB. DT is NOT a top 2 need

Tackle is crazy deep, rosengarten is a dog and fisher is solid both are immediate upgrades from Dan Moore and we can get one of them in the third for sure
Tomlin loves the tall athletic corners with upside, but I just don't trust their evaluation at that position. I am still getting flashbacks of that bad Artie Burns pick from previous drafts. Nate Wiggins is kinda giving me those Artie Burns vibes 😢
The fact some of you guys say DT is a "pressing" need over other spots is pathetic. Is cam nearing the end? Yes. Does that mean we drop the ball and forget about other needs to draft his successor EARLY and WASTE that pick when it could be used on the line WR or CB. First 4 picks go as followed....
Pick 20 C/CB IF all the good OT are gone if not OT and push everything back
Pick 51 opposite of pick 20 if not a OT and if so C is the pick
Pick 84 at this point is a good spot to select a good WR thats fallen to us
Pick 98 is a good position to set yourself up for the next tier of CBs the guys in later rounds are actually good just need some coaching
Watch film of FSU Renardo Green. He ran a 4.5 forty which would prob drop him to late 3rd or early 4th. Kid is sticky and physical
Not hating on a corner in the first Round, Wiggins is first thought don't think Donte Jackson is a Starter seems more if a slot guy and with Corey Trice the injury history is a cause of concern hope he isn't another Senquez Golston

RT, C, WR, CB, DT, MLB, WR. Why double dip at tackle? They NEVER keep more than 11 OL 6-7 spots are already guaranteed youre cutting a draft pick in that regard and thats no bueno
Cool aid mackinstry can also return kicks if need be so that would be a great grab if he is available at #20

Typical Steelers fan. We need to stop over drafting defense. Our highest paid defense in the entire NFL still gets absolutely dominated by below average offenses in the NFL. Draft O line and WR you fools.

I just think Center and OT are the round 1 needs. Round 2 the Steelers should draft a WR like Roman Wilson or Ricky Pearsall. With our first 3rd round pick we should address either OT or Center (which ever position we didn’t address in round 1) then take the best CB available with our second 3rd round pick.
