It’s weird cuz ppl in low elo and mid elo treat that thing like a smoke meant to slow down players, which it really isn’t. It’s meant to stop lurkers and gain map control like a strong trip, but because ppl in low elo are afraid to break the wall for some reason, the sage thinks the wall is some magical impervious wall lmao.
A lot of people just wall mid every single round without any thought put into it and it just gets broken immediately every time providing zero value and just being a waste of credits.
Or - hear me out - or, don’t wall mid split every round if the enemy isn’t going mid.
Yeah man imagine I had a sage in my game who would no matter what wall at the start mid, and I told to stop doing that, only when she knows theres enemies around or thay theyre prioritizing mid control, if not dont do it, save it for later even if its for retake or blocking spike to defuse it whatever but dont just throw away 400 credits every round start in the same place. She started complaining about me and the trammates reinforced her every single time, like how many braincells do they have??
Not every round duh but to be fair mid control is pretty essential on split

Another tip is that you don’t always have to put your wall down if you don’t have to.
You can always wait for a better opportunity to use it.
Personally I love to use it as some sort of budget updraft you basically get a wide platform for all sorts of off angles. And you can bring teammates with you.(really funny if a sage walls off something and all 5 of you just wall up it)
It doesn’t always have to be used defensively.
As a 74 hrs SAGe I realized I do make this mistake. But from now I won’t 🍻
As someone who plays split in attack i allways tell my team to destroy sage wall mid every round, we take mid control she lose her wall for the rest of the round and we can go both ways to b or a

If u wall mail off kinda like the second wall u put but a bit more forward its rlly hard to shoot and gives u a lot more space. Only thing is ropes arent covered. Its not a replacement for the mid wall, but a variation of it that basically givesu the same space as the mid wall but hard to break quickly
You forgot that some noob Sages wall the whole team either out of site, slowing down site entry, or the only rotation route, so if things go bad the whole team dies
But then the enemies have easy access to ropes
you can use it as a way to get info if they shoot it down

And then jet comes with a dash and a smoke and you spectate your teammates

If i am playing split as a sage, the only area i wall of is mid, with one exception: one of my teammates wanna play op in mid. I only wall up, if i hear anything and hold my wall (very important). If the enemys are breaking it, ask you smoker to smoke it. By successfully holding your wall, you make a a- or b-split nearly impossible. On rounds where i cant fullbuy, i play shotgun close to my wall, its always a free kill.

Also walk around with your gun out. It seems like Sage players always walk with their utilities out for no reason and gets gunned down.
Walling a area every single round such as mid split and having the wall break down over time without any enemy breaking it or even going mid, is a waste of ability. This short is for low elo.
What's crazy is on attack people don't understand defaulting to breaking the wall, people in high elo are actually stupid af.

@@quiescenttttt if they start at the site while its walled off theyre gonna break it and peeking that is a bad idea and if u wall off the wrong site it will probably break before any rotations
@@_Beam its a free orb and u deny the lurk if they arent there and if they are, then u deter the rush by using slow orb and ur mid player rotates for an ideal defense hold. Mid wall is double edged, u wall and they can split the other site while the wall hinders your rotate/gives mid to the opponent.

Sage players make only one mistake and that is they took Sage. Never play sage. You get zero respect from your team,only get calls for heal and res, 4 people backseating you like this is your first game, and the best one, teammates blaming you for anything that happens. Don't play sage.
