The eyes - I take it as he’s trying to make us see…he’s talking to us in the chair, we’re blind, doing what we’re told while the money game plays on all around us…and we’re playing our part too. He wants us to look in the mirror and see ourselves and our part in things, as he does in MG3… But, it’s open to interpretation and that’s the joy of art. It can mean different things to different people and as long as it means something, generates thought and ideas, it’s doing good :)
The self immolation at the end - I think it’s recognising that despite him being the one trying to get us to see, he’s also part of the issue and that maybe, a protest like the monk did (he copies the pose and what the monk did I think) is what it will take to make people take notice.
