Even I find it troublesome while working with hand-gloves on. I remain unsatisfied until I feel the thing (soil and all). But as far as pesticide or fungicide are concerned, you should avoid touching them as they may cause skin problems. So for applying this kind of paste, use a thin painting brush (the one we used in pastel/water color drawing in schools) or simply use an earbud. Above all, it's really a good video.
