Just purchased this synth and waiting for it to arrive. This is going to be my first synth and these presets have me in aw already. I can’t imagine the pads that you could create. Thanks for the little demo :))))
Lol, I actually do use synth reviews to go to sleep sometimes :D but plenty of views during waking hours, too. Thanks for always putting out such quality videos
Keep up the talking man. I just love the way you explain things in that humouristic way of yours. And your facial expressions are hilarious. It makes me laugh every time a watch one of your video's.
Damn!! Jack sounds amazing and so does the wave. I'm so close to getting a Stage 3 and Jack really showed that off. Such a great tone on the wave 2. Amazing!
That synth sounds amazing. The built in verb is quite good. Pads sound great. Has memories of my old Prophet VS with the wave table sounds. But now with effects. A musically useful synth for production imo.
Jack, you know you rock! Entertaining as always. :-) Got my WAVE2 two weeks ago and I LOVE THIS MASHINE!!! So good. I want 'how-to' videos from you. Playing skills maybe...... Stay healthy / corona - greetings
The sound quality is second to none! This is an obvious choice for a keyboardist/performer. Those keys are awesome! How far can you take the imported sample manipulation? That would be a cool vid to post.
Hey Captain! Can you get all the Andertons musicians together and make one of those "musicians around the world jamming" type videos. that would be awesome. also, as a guitar freak interested in synth, I am really appreciating these videos.
These vids are great and really help to get a feel for how a synth sounds. The only constructive criticism I've got is suggesting you pick the sounds at random rather than the first 10, 25 etc. (The Manufacturers might just catch on and put their 'best' ones first?). You may have just sold another Nord Wave 2 with this demo, it's a very good contender against Roland's Jupiter X. Keep up the good work Jack and crew... :-)
Hey Jack. Love watching videos with you in dude. Not related to the video but have you ever had a play around with the Ableton Push 2? I was curious to know your opinion of it.
Hey Jack! I like your Videos a lot! I have an old Yamaha CS2x Synth and I plan to get another one: nordwave 2 or virus ti 2 are the ones I’m thinking of and I would like to have a comparison soooo much 😉! This is what’s important to me: a good (analoge) sound, mainly for House and Deep House, but Ambient and other stuff as well. A good keyboard (virus = best?). I would like to use it mainly as the master keyboard in my little home studio with Logic Pro... but maybe someday on a stage as well. Could you do a video with the main differences and pros and cons of these to? And what about the nordlead 4? And... no that’s it 😬😉
Sequential Prophet X XL or Nord Wave 2. Which would you prefer? I have watched your reviews on both. I would like something that is a Synth with great sounds and also has the usual traditional instruments.
After having a Access Virus TI2 I Don’t feel like to buy a any synth because it’s a complete package with thousands of mind blowing patches but this wave2 has capability to play samples and they have very good sample bank much better than a some expensive workstations. I really like this keyboard but I am more of a piano guy and I haven’t heard any acoustic piano patches demo. Dose it have a good piano sound like a Nord-Grand? If yes then I’ll go ahead with this keyboard. Fantastic demo..Love it! ❤️
I have an Electro 3 which I think is awesome - but the Wave 2 doesn't sound much different than my Korg Triton TR, which is 15 or so years old! Really, we are getting to the stage where even budget synths sound amazing - it's just the finer details like build quality that make a difference to the price.
I have it… and I agree with you. There’s something I don’t get from this synth… that I actually feel when I play my NL2X… liveliness. Although if you program the 4 analogue engines it can sound so good and full of life. It’s just that the sample and FM engines that are not much different from an Electro 6. If you have a relatively modern Electro I would go with the Lead 4 or A1.
great synth im not very lead orientated player, mostly a chord guy with limited skills...Im enjoying the "seq" types and the "trance types of set up......Could you review something more like that? maybe the I arp off the roland X series.....Lets do some cheating...:)
freddie mercury has made a lot of hits with this keybord one of his music videos the keybord nord wave 2 is in his music video or stage live like if u miss freddie mercury
Keep in mind that the Nord compression scheme, which they claim is lossless, reduces file sizes by a factor of 3. So, you actually have 3x more sample time available. ☺ Nevertheless, I agree that it is disappointing that Nord didn't install more than 2gigs of memory in The Wave 2. 😕
@@derekbaker3279 To an extent this is a Nord thing, they conscientiously do it to make there boards less future proof. I use purely vst's and an Arturia Keylab. Granted a. Hardware. Board would be nice but I get everything I need from software instruments.
The Nord is well known for its incredible range of piano & organ sounds. Check out our full in-depth review to hear more about what it can do! ruclips.net/video/HkCXfYo-n3I/видео.html
Andertons Synths, Keys and Tech oh cool, thanks. I get confused with all their different models, I wasn't sure if this one was just a synth or included all the other sounds too. I really want to buy a Nord but have no clue which model to buy :/
@@officialWWM If you don't mind, I will chip in here. Off the top of my head, I'd say that f you play a lot of piano-based music, organ-based music, 1960s/70s pop/rock, classical music, and/or traditional jazz, then IMHO the Stage 3 does those sounds better than the Wave 2. If you tend to play music without acoustic piano, electric piano, old school organs and/or blues (esp. Hammond B3/Vox/Farfisa organs) then I'd say you may want to think about for the Wave 2. However, the Stage 3 can be set up as your master keyboard (including sending & receiving midi, etc), which enables you to control, tweak & play external synths that have midi & switch between those symths, then I'm not if sure the Wave 2 can do that to the same degree as the Stage 3. However, if traditional acoustic pianos, e-pianos, & organs are not a priority, and you tend to play 80 alt/pop/rock, or you mainly play 1980s to 2010s dance or ambient music, then the Wave 2 may be the better choice. ☺
This keyboard may have a couple good string sounds but it is not easy to remember where sounds are. Makes no sense. I like the ease of the Yamaha MX 61 FAR better.
I think it's because often times the keyboard player in a band is positioned at right angles to the front edge of the stage. Branding the side of the keyboard allows the audience to get a clear look at the manufacturer's name.

Jack, you are amazing,I can watch you every day :) waiting for my Wave 2 for three weeks... so looong.
Glad you enjoyed the video... You're gonna have a great time when your Nord arrives! 🤘
Just purchased this synth and waiting for it to arrive. This is going to be my first synth and these presets have me in aw already. I can’t imagine the pads that you could create. Thanks for the little demo :))))
I swear on everything, this is my next keyboard purchase! Great video!
OMG That «Pacific Pad» at 10:35 is like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter morning🤩seriously amazing sound
It does sound amazing, but all those Korg and Roland synths from the 90s just did it so much better
Lol, I actually do use synth reviews to go to sleep sometimes :D but plenty of views during waking hours, too. Thanks for always putting out such quality videos
Have loved your videos on the Nord Wave 2 so far - you seemed to have scanned through about 40 years' worth of sounds and styles with those patches.
Keep up the talking man. I just love the way you explain things in that humouristic way of yours. And your facial expressions are hilarious. It makes me laugh every time a watch one of your video's.
I want more! You make the only good Wave 2 demo on the internet!
Mate, keep talking forgot the comments. You cheer me up no end 👍🏻
Damn!! Jack sounds amazing and so does the wave. I'm so close to getting a Stage 3 and Jack really showed that off. Such a great tone on the wave 2. Amazing!
Ben Maxwell Get that Stage 3! Then you add the Wave 2
at 13:41 I realized I need this machine....lovely !!! thanks Jack
had me at 4:20.
im saving up for this machine because of 10:32
Enjoyed this --- 21 min of fun on a dreary Saturday ;-) Long time fan of Nord -- have the original Wave... this looks like a worthy successor!
That synth sounds amazing. The built in verb is quite good. Pads sound great. Has memories of my old Prophet VS with the wave table sounds. But now with effects. A musically useful synth for production imo.
Wohoo Jack is back:)
Jack, you know you rock! Entertaining as always. :-)

The camera editing around 10:00 was a great touch!
5:22 my thoughts: he is playing The Knife
5:38 Jack says: sounds like The Knife 👍
Love it. Thanks, Jack!
Definitely Heartbeats! Very possible some Nord stuff was used on that album as well, as they're both Swedish
Love the gated arpeggios, it gives it some real life and movement
It would be good to hear the best sample library 3.0 based pianos on Wave 2 as well
Great demo, the Nord sounds great.
The sound quality is second to none! This is an obvious choice for a keyboardist/performer. Those keys are awesome! How far can you take the imported sample manipulation? That would be a cool vid to post.
Simply amazing Synth!!
Awesoooooooooome. This is massive!
Jack has been to church, I'll tell you that
Go on, Jack 👌👍

Can it do the lovely warm Analog sounds ( Jean-Michel Jarre ) that the Lead A1 does?

Jack should learn to accept that his playing and explanations are nice, but most of us only come here to marvel at his exceptional facial hair.

17:48 another trip back to the eighties .... "never ending story" like...
A proppa playa!
Definitely could be a contender for my 2nd tier. Suppose Jupiter X most similar. Might just have to save up. If only the JD-XA were 61 keys. Sigh.

Nord Always beautiful!
Estaba por comprar un nord wave 2, pero descubrí el hydrainth.... qué hago ?
Can you use those 4 parts (layers) to make 4 sample layer? Maybe Round Robin Layers
freddie mercury has made a lot of hits with this keybord one of his music videos the keybord nord wave 2 is in his music video or stage live
like if u miss freddie mercury
patch 4 electro vibe is possible to build on nord stage 3 could someone please instruct me how?
This sounds great. But 2Gb of sample memory in 2020? That's a bit skint, especially for the price.

Sounds like Omnisphere
Omnisphere sounds better. The Wave sound pretty cheap.
Does it do piano and organ sounds?

How much does the nord wave 2 retail for mate
$2700 on Sweetwater
Now do all sounds in G flat Major or B Major;)
17:48 I just came.
This synth is too expensive - because Jack could play a 2-octave 100€ keyboard, and I would still enjoy it. :)
like to hear the lead guitar
Anyone else getting some Juno vibes from this synth?
This keyboard may have a couple good string sounds but it is not easy to remember where sounds are. Makes no sense. I like the ease of the Yamaha MX 61 FAR better.
What is it with keyboard manufacturers branding the end cheeks? - it’s so naff and cheap. First the summit, now this :(

godisbollocks Sure, I get that, but for me it’s just such terrible taste.
You guys definitely try too hard to be funny..
