Great service. Works well. I'd like to send a link to this instructional video to non-technical users. Please consider making another brief video (about 30 seconds) directed only to users who receive an encrypted Tutanota email. Provide instructions on what to do if their security settings do not allow for the enclosed Tutanota link to open (that is, alternatively paste the Tutanota link in the URL bar). Also, the background music is too loud especially for an office setting, suggest reducing volume by half. Great solution, Thanks!!!
The font in the video appeared tiny. Additionally, white on black letters, rapid frame changes of someone clicking this and that before I could read what it was, and blasting "busy music" made the video impossible to follow. Please remake the video without the unnecessary sensory stressors. I wanted to learn about the product.
Why does the music have to be louder than the person talking? Why is it even there as someone else has said? We are not children that will be dancing while listening to instructions. I have tried three times to hear about encryption and still have problems.
Shame about the music - does it make the video and instructions any clearer? - no! To anyone hard-of-hearing, dialogue and music together are the death knell of understanding. Just give us the straight, clear instructions, no music - I can put a CD on if I want music.
I just wanted to send an unimportant Email to somebody and don't want to send an extra password. I don't care, if it's extra encrypted, but when i want to send it it says "Please provide an agreed password for each external recipient.". Am i forced to do that, or is there some way to decide that by myself? Sorry for writing this as a RUclips comment, but i couldn't find an active support either.
You probably already found the answer by now, but to answer, to send a regular email just uncheck the 'lock' icon to the right of the message. And to send an encrypted email, check the 'lock' icon, provide a password, write your mssg, then send. (they would need to know the password).
It's happening within Tutanota. Keys are secured with your password so the server can't see them. Here's a more detailed explanation: tutanota.com/blog/posts/innovative-encryption/

Thanks for your feedback. We will consider this for future videos. Unfortunately, it's not possible to change this retrospectively.
Well done. Impossible to understand!
