    Which version of Word are you using? I just downloaded it from Microsoft 365 and the option TRANSCRIBE does not show up for me. I looked it up in the HELP field and it does not mention it either, other than using the DICTATE option.

    Can I use the Text to speech of word for my Videos? By Screenrecord or other way?

    • @your365coach
      @your365coach  9 месяцев назад

      It’s possible that you could record the Word Dictation but to be honest, the best app I have seen for that, would be Descript. It has a number of AI voices you can use, or even train your own voice in it too. Also; I have no partnership with them or anything - that’s just a general recommendation 😄

      @@your365coach Any ideas of the best deals for paid (premium) services? My 500Mb quota might not be enough. Just curious. Or perhaps I can set up another 365 account using my other email, since in theory it's 500Mb per email account, I think. Anyway, thanks again for this video.

    In attempting to upload my file, it continually tells me my file is in use, yet it is not. Any thoughts on why this is and how to remedy that, please?

    Hello bro, Thanks for sharing.
    So, do we need to always state connected to internet to use this feature ?
    Please correct me if i am wrong, as you said, is this feature only available in web version only ?
    I installed Microsoft 365 in ipad and this feature is not there.

    • @your365coach
      @your365coach  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you would need to always have a connection to use the Word Feature, as this is only currently available via Word for Web. To get into that, head to Office.com, then from the app launcher open up the Word App (in the top left) and then inside of Word, just the drop-down under 'Dictate' and you will see the transcribe option. Hope that helps 😀

    Hi, Scott! Thanks for the great information! Just wanted to ask, I see when I upload files, Word tells me the files can only be 300MB max. I have quite a couple files that need transcription - all of which are over 300MB - they're +120 min audio-visual interviews. Is there a way I can change the 300MB minimum?

    • @your365coach
      @your365coach  6 месяцев назад +1

      Sadly, it looks like that is an enforced limit which we cannot change, as early on, it was actually unlimited in terms of transcription but now there is a hard limit of 300MB 😣

      @@your365coach Thank you for your reply, Scott!
      How easy it was to follow your instructions and get 5 of my files transcribed! Such a load off of my shoulders - instead of struggling to figure out how the transcription option worked, it was just a few clicks here and there. And the time saved having to listen and type everything out myself!
      I'm lucky there were five files of under 300MB.
      But now, I'm in trouble. This 300MB limit is extremely frustrating.... I work with translators in my interviews, so my interviews always take much longer. I feel like Microsoft should be taking this sort of work into consideration. However, I know it's a "me" problem - I don't know if enough users of Microsoft Word are in a similar predicament for developers to even care about something like that.... But you said they used to have an unlimited transcription option! *insert all the sad emojis*
      Do you perhaps have any suggestions of other programs which will allow transcriptions of unlimited video sizes?

      Hi. I was randomly researching this topic and saw your question. I don't know if you found a solution...but you might be able to find a file converter from the Internet to compress your file. You can also screen record the larger video into small parts that fit the criteria of 300 MB. Once all is translated (maybe 5 parts) you can then combine all text in final project. Good luck. I have not tried it yet but I am looking forward to playing around with it. 🏆.

      @@jamiemarais3397 just convert the file to the minimum resolution, because you need audio only. It's easy-peasy, plenty of online convertors exist
