As a long time musician I never thought that a classical harpist could reinvent this instrument in such a modern way. I'm so impressed by the rearrangements the dynamical playing and a great sense for groove. Amy you have a complete package to offer keep on going. Don't worry about the view numbers of course they should be 100 times more but youtube is a place of average and cheap taste mostly. Particularly thats why your talent is refreshing. Thank you so much.

Hearing you play is only half the enjoyment. The other part is watching you play from your soul with an understanding of the music like nothing I have ever heard before.
Amy.. this is the most beautiful and tender piece that you do.. every time I listen and watch the creative flow of your passion in this piece it just takes me away somewhere. A beautiful wonderful place - an island of rest in this mad mad world. Peace and happiness to all you do. Thank you for sharing.
This is by far the most individually beautiful and creative interpretation of this work on RUclips. You don't take the voicing of the melody line for granted in the variation of the theme, whilst providing a strong yet pure flourishing accompaniment!
I’ve been working on learning this piece, and I keep coming back here for encouragement. Thanks for providing such a masterful example for others to follow. 😊
How lucky we are to live at a time when technology and art can blend seamlessly and give us such splendid jewels for free. What a beautiful performance!
I've been spreading the word of your Angelic playing.my friends now know of your talent. you are the most talented female musician I've come across in my life.I sincerely mean that.the choice in musical pieces is astounding. you definitely are headed to the top of the heap,if you choose to do.God blesses us with talents, with his rights.thanks for sharing your astounding talent.God bless you.
This is totally unrelated, but I love your harp, it's so beautiful, and you have really inspired me to work hard on this piece so i can play it this beautifully.
Just as lovely and enchanting as when I visited you 8 years ago. Come into my garden, I want my roses to see you. Thank you for your hard earned virtuosity.
I use to have a Harp. Use to play konji kondo's music. I'm rusty reading. Love the legend of Zelda still. Gave the harp away because I could not get to fix the pedals or get it's strings tokeep it, plus I had to travel. Still on my practice pad.
119k subscribers :) This popped up on my youtube feed and I haven't heard it before. It's very good, should have 7 figure views, but clearly I know very little about viral media publishing. Richard (Patreon supporter)
Spellbinding! You must accompany Byrn Terfel. Try listening to Bryn and Simon Keenlyside sing a duet "Ave Verum Corpus." May you go gently through life bringing such joy to all that listen.
Wow! This is spectacular! A beautiful piece played with so much feeling and understanding of your instrument. Thank you for showing the world the harp is not just an instrument at the back of an orchestra it is one that fantastic solos can be played on. I could listen to you play all day and probably will! You have everything to take the classical world by storm if that's what you want to do. I wish you well!
+rhcpfan84 I play every day that I can, although sometimes my workload keeps me away from the harp! On a quiet day I may practice for 3-4 hours. Thanks for listening!
+Luc Hendrickx Harp music is quite hard to find unless you go through the right channels! Watching the Wheat is published by Salvi - if you are in the UK you can order it online through The Harp Studio (just google them!). Hope this helps.

Hi Amy- if you haven't seen this before, Brigham Young University in Utah maintains an online archive of scanned public domain harp scores (lots of Thomas, Godefroid, Bochsa, Naderman, etc.) here: archive.org/details/byuinternationalharparchive I forget how I first heard about it, but it is awesome.

Hearing this feels like taking a time machine to a different era.

I'm not a harp expert but love how Amy uses percussion for more dynamic volume swells than others. Incredible room acoustics no?
The production here is as excellent as the more current ones, so Ben Turk again?

Pearly dream of infinite rays of light. Sound that spills in my ears as a cadence of the water runs of a fountain.
Wonderful.
This is great. I'd love to hear you play Clair De Lune.
Clair De Lune is so touching. That and Over the Rainbow. Bring tears to my eyes.
she plays it! Its my fav of all I have heard from her but this room has better acoustics than the one she used for Clair.
Just as lovely and enchanting as when I visited you 8 years ago. Come into my garden, I want my roses to see you. Thank you for your hard earned virtuosity.
I greatly enjoy watching your videos. There is so much grace in your music and in every gest.

3-4 hours a day is really hard work. You've got great and artistic renderings. Congrats, Amy. Love to listen to you.
Amy must one watch for certain kinds of things that can occur physically from playing the harp?
I would like to buy the sheet music. Does any one know where I can find this for harp. It's always sheet music for piano. :(
