Proper man-cave! I've down-sized a lot and it does focus your mind on getting everything efficiently into a smaller space - I'm a lot more tidier now! Regards Ralphy (TZ-UK)
Hey Ralphy, Yarp. I would like a bit bigger space but I would only fill it with more stuff ! I need a bigger mill and Id love a small CNC lathe. I would also like a more defined dirty side so I may have a re-arrange at some point if I can face it. Lol
Regards from the south east, understood every word mate and thanks for the tour, I think we all say I wish I'd build my shop bigger, higher and with a bigger door ect but its the tooling that its equipped with thats more important so I'd say you've smashed it.
Nice workshop. You have lots of possibilities to get creative. One can never have everything,we always have to adapt, improvise, overcome, and use what we have.
Very cool mate. Love the monologue and descriptions. And backstory to all the stuff you used to do, cool shop and machines! Another one from USA, Indiana
Fabulous to see your ‘shed’. It’s amazing how quickly we do collect and fill our sheds. You have done well not to over clutter it. Thank you for showing it.
Took a bit to figure out you were saying "watch straps", but caught on eventually, at least you're not Scottish! I watch Beechgrove Garden from BBC Scotland and half the fun is the language. Great job on organization, guess you have to be tidy to live with so much in so little space. My shop is 24'x60' and it's just as packed, there's a law of nature about that I believe.
haha, cheers Don :-) Yes, good housekeeping is key I think with small spaces, otherwise it gets overwhelming very quickly. Ive only got one large bin in here so that forces me to tidy up often and put the bin out !
Thanks for the tour. I have 2 mates who have sewing machines in their workshops. One makes Spiderman/Batman Suits and many other attachment emblems and does very well, especially in the Asian market. My other mate does high end repairs for snow jackets/pants, tents etc. Both have big industrial sewing machines for their work. It's amazing what people do in their backyards. Cam
Cheers Cam. I agree ! I love finding out what people do in their sheds up and down the country. On the odd occasion I may need to have something done that I cant do in my shed. More than a couple of times a quick google throws up people almost just around the corner ! There are tons of people up and down the land tinkering away in sheds at bottom of gardens :-)
Good setup. I am about to embark on a workshop re organise and I may steal a few ideas. What I find as one who used to have much mores space , is that one fills it with more and more stuff. Yes I would love more room but I am lucky to have somewhere to do my thing and make stuff.
I did think about tagging another shed on and it would be useful to have a tad more space, especially around the linisher, the band saw and the little mill. But you're right, it would only get full of other stuff I dont really need. lol
Love your set up , compact is good far as I'm concerned, tidyness is the key I think. well done and thankyou for letting us have a look ,I am now subscribed@@@ Mike from Cornwall.
Very handy machine to have in the shop ... I used to work after school in a saddlery repairing tents, horse covers etc ... I use my little machine for all kinds of tasks .. repairing tie downs, making machine covers etc
Good to see my dad was In the RAF in 111 squadron in the the 60’s on lightnings and went to South Africa with the buccaneers. What my Ford have you got is that a 7?
Cheers Jon. The lightnings are my fave jet ever. They had about three years left in service when I joined up. A lightning runway beat-up is something to behold !! :-) Buccs are awesome too. The lathe is indeed the Super 7 . Ta Jon.
@@bonesshed. As a kid in the late 60's I lived 2 miles from wattisham airfield and I can still remember them coming over and the noise I live near the RAE in farnborough and at the museum they have a late mark lightning on display.
I think there will be far more mens sheds around the country of this size than the bigger 'garage' workshops. They can be just as much fun but obviously aimed at smaller projects !
Very impressive use of space, I am working on the same premise, better to have access to something than not have it at all, but it does require being very fastidious in ones activities.
Sorry for the late reply ! Yes, one has to make the best of the available space for sure. Id like a bigger area but Id only fill it with more stuff ! :-)
just found your channel this morning and liked what I saw so subscribed nice small workshop but perfectly formed and yes I do understand what your saying sounds like your not a million miles from my neck of the woods look forward to more from you well done by the way regards Bill
Oh man I love the jet engine cut away and the spitfire wing. I hope some time in the distant future to build a small jet engine on my channel. It's amazing what guys can do with such small spaces
Thank you Craig. I made three gas turbines a few years ago, two didnt work at all but the third did want to but it kept jamming up and I gave up ! I should have another stab at it one day . Here is a clip of the engine print in action ruclips.net/video/aMCBt3saJJ8/видео.html
Hello Bones, Happy New Year and congratulations on passing the 100 subscribers milestone... I very interesting workshop tour... I look forward to watching more video in 2021 Take care Paul,,
Hi, yes its insulated with that silvery bubble stuff. I heat it with an AC unit and if needed a small fan heater. Its such a small space it doesnt take long to get up to temp .
Christ! to think I've been complaining about my lil man cave - you make me feel like I have a castle! haha 24'x38' with 13' ceiling! I'm smashed in mine almost as bad as you are in yours! haha
I have little experience with any other models and only purchased this one because it got good reviews. Its the Creality Ender 3 and I think for 200 quid its been great ! I think there is a Pro version but not sure how that differs from this one. It comes in part pre built form but the rest is easy to put together. The important bit is levelling the bed and taking out any slop in the carriages. Its also important to keep them in a warn environment. People have issues if they stick them in an unheated space like a garage. Ive seen people build boxes around them but there is no need if its warm.
Is that a Justin Johnson sticker at 7:05? Friend of my dad had a small shop built against his garage, that he could just ride his office chair from one bench to the other

My little workshop is a mess at present so I would be embarrassed to post a video of it.My lathe is 75 years old and gets used most days turning stainless so plenty of nasty swarf .My mill is not much newer. If I have to use an angle grinder it's outside but that's just how I like it.
Thank you Don. I use somethings outside on a table I bring to the back door. Polishing and sanding ( apart from small stuff on the linisher ) is all done outside. I have a fume extractor but thats the only extraction I have.
What an awesome workshop/man-cave. I am jealous. Enjoy it.

A lot of gear in a small space ! Was the Lancaster the '' City of Lincoln "" Cheers .
Yes PA474. Flew on her when stationed at Coningsby 94 :-)

10 x 8 ft each
