  • Danny Everitt's musical journey began when his father introduced him to the sounds of Hank Williams and Marty Robbins, sparking a lifelong love for music. Everitt embarked on his professional music career in the Austin, Texas nightclub scene in the 1970s. He then moved to Nashville, performing as a solo artist for Buddy Lee Attractions. Returning to Texas, he immersed himself in Houston's live music scene, building a reputation as a songwriter and performer in the Montrose district. Everitt received recognition as a New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival and as a finalist in the American Song Festival. His solo LP, "Fire Down Inside," marked the beginning of a prolific career, with subsequent albums like "Cold Wind Cold Rain" earning favor on Americana radio. Noteworthy accolades include nominations for Singer/Songwriter of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music, and his induction into the Houston Folk Music Archives in 2016. His latest album, "Dream Big," released in 2017, continues to showcase Everitt's spirited and warm expressions as a true Texas troubadour, solidifying his place in the rich tapestry of the Houston music scene.
