Silence in NYC is worth millions. A quiet place to live doesn’t stay on the market for too long! The building grounds are really nice with all the greenery. The gym/pool is nice. And while the place itself could do with a remodel, it’s still really nice as is. Ton of space to work with. I like it!
We moved to Brighton Beach when I was 8. It still feels like Brighton Beach. Amazing. Brighton Beach is a real neighborhood, folks. Just about anything you'll need on a daily basis is available on Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue.
You'll love the boardwalk and, if you're not as laboratory rat White as I am, the beach. I can still smell the ocean. Sheepshead Bay is the next neighborhood over. That's a wonderful place too. And...and...Coney Island is just a stop away on the express D train or 3 on the local M.
I will cycle that every day if I live in a penthouses just bottom is the gym and pool, nice life new York

If I were ever going to spend 1 2M on an apartment, this one would be it. Nice lay out, roomy, and great location.

I'll never live in NYC, but still love these vids because of their NYC-slice-of-life flavor, delivered by a genuine YT personality. NYC is the planet's most diverse city. Cash does a decent job of getting that message across.

Nice to see occasional furnished places. Helps with the perspective of size and adds a warmer feel to the places. Also separate dining and kitchen are hard to find.

Loving the size of this Penthouse. Would definitely switch out the kitchen appliances for stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms are fine. The present tenants can take ALL of their furniture with them. I want a clean slate. My modern esthetic would transform the living space into the year 2021 & beyond. Love the terrace. The amenities are a plus. And I would love being so close to the beach & boardwalk; That's the game changer. Great video tour.

This layout is amazing, whoever designed this house is brilliant. Every inch of space is utilized properly, no weird corners or gimmicks. Love the dining room as well as the huge living space, what a surprise. Only downsides are the lack of view and decor

Brighton Beach is a very nice area, I always liked it. Clean, and allot of residential areas, green spaces, and the beach!
Fun tour. Cool appartment. Maybe it needs a little updating, but having Dimitri all sneaky sneaky in the background makes up for it :)
Area arond the trainstation looks like a lively place too. Like a small village shopping street in an Eastern Europe / general European city.
You somehow make it feel like almost anyone could afford a place like this, when it’s such a bargain !!

Nice to see a separate dining room for a change. It's spacious and has great views. So close to the beach! Plus two pools??! I'm sold lol. The appliances and fixtures look a little dated but that's an easy fix. Love the neighborhood tour! I'd definitely be eating out alot.
Do you see the wonderfulness of a kitchen that is its own separate room? That's how all the apartments used to be.
Yes. Although my condo is tiny, one of the reasons I got it is the kitchen is in a completely separate room, though it does have a doorway opening to both hallway and living room. I like the separateness so when I am in the living room I don't even have to THINK of the kitchen!!!
I’ve had some 1-bedroom apartments that felt like a studios, because the kitchen was just a sliver along one wall. You get tired of sitting in the couch trying to relax, while staring at the stove and kitchen sink!
As a Finn it warms my heart to see Marimekko design on the table in the dining room :) If I saw a moomin mug I'd go nuts XD

Wow!! This is a great entry point to a penthouse. Not so big & spendy that you’d never be able to afford to live in it, but bigger than a rental. It is a nice place- a starter penthouse. Love the separate dining room! I wanna see the place below that has that huge patio. Wonder if that is a bigger place? The neighborhood looks amazing!!!
The ex-Soviet vibe surrounding this apartment is fantastic. It's so cool to see Russian, Georgian and Uzbek shops in a beautiful New York neighbourhood!
Great space, great location. Kitchen and bathrooms need updating, and that is expensive. Also the monthly carrying charges, the pools and gym aren't free, everyone must pay their fair share whether you use them or not.
That's the thing with these styles of communities- the amenities are wonderful BUT they are expensive to maintain and keep. Agreed with kitchens, bathroom and painting- that will a minimum of an extra 100K.
Decor is a bit dated, as is the apartment amenities, but this place could look AMAZING once upgraded, and it's huge!

My dentist lives in the Oceana building. The food in Brighton is Eastern European, more of Russian/Ukrainian food.
And that food is delicious
There is nothing amazing about the apartment itself (dont get me wrong I still like it a lot) but what won me over was that its close to the beach, has great amenities, and I think this is the first ever apartment gym that was actively being used. Winner winner, wish I was a millionaire!

This apartment is HUGE- perfect for having a full family and multigenerational living! The primary bedroom is the size of some of the apartments you have shown in Manhattan! Although it does need updating- appliances, countertop in kitchen, fixtures in bathroom- the built in furniture, if it conveys, almost makes it worth it. The amenities justify the CCs!
I would like it because it would be big enough to have my family come visit over the holidays, (Three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren so far . I think there would be space for a good size dining table in there.

I would expect stainless steel appliances in the kitchen for that price tag! But then again, I have a 1940s O'Keefe & Merritt vintage stove (restored). What do I know about kitchen style? Cool penthouse though! Happy Wednesday. :)
I agree... Was disappointed in the appliances & bathrooms for that price😏 Loved the area around the building. & You have a treasure in your house. I love antique stuff😍 Especially when someone has taken care of it.
The stove looks like what we had in our house in the 80s! I was expecting more modern appliances for that price, but the place is still beautiful.
I like the amount of natural light and the separate dining area with lots of storage 🙂

That’s a nice one! I like the big rooms. Kitchen & bathrooms need updating, and I’d want to expand the kitchen into that dining room; that kitchen is too small for such a big place. If the apartment below has the same floor plan, that would be the one to get. That outdoor roof deck on the lower apartment is amazing!

I can't believe you missed the opportunity to sing "How Much is that Doggie in the Window?" LOL I'm a little disappointed. 😉 Loved it, but I really thought the kitchen should be a bit more upgraded for the 1.2 million asking price. I'd also get rid of the tub in the master bath and do a beautiful, multi-head steam shower. As usual, thanks for sharing and keeping us amused. 🥰

This is something that just needs cosmetic changes to make it really nice. I can see living in it while the works is being done, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around paying 1.2million for a "fixer upper"
The way I see it I would just slap on a coat of paint because I like more color and use what is there as long as it still works, I don't need the latest and greatest as long as everything functions.
Prices have gone up. Probably would have listed for $699,000 in 2017 though.
Needs a bit of a make over but I love how light & spacious it is. I'd buy it.
Definitely could use some upgrades, like the kitchen and bathrooms. I know a separate dinning room is great, but I'd honestly knock out the wall and extend that to an upgraded open kitchen since there's room for a dinning table in the living room

I live in Portland, Maine, where newly-constructed luxury condos are on the market for a lot more money than this one and they have a fraction of the amenities. The real estate market confuses me... but I love watching your videos (apartment videos and family videos). Keep up the good work!

The issue with apartments in those big modern buildings are the ceilings are so freaking low. Even if you dont "feel" them at first, the more time you spend in them, the lower they get and soon your walking around slumped over. Too bad its so far away from the city, but of course that a place would be double the price if it were.

Neighborhood not too impressive, kinda looks like suburbs compared to other parts of the city, but...the beach!! Still close enough to everything. Good value coming here.

Okay! I liked this listing! It's priced correctly given its location. GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD! Affordable caviar! I loved all of the storage options and the large bathrooms. It's just the airiness of the space that makes this a seller. I loved the wood flooring! It looks real and solid rather than the garbage that is used now that is "picture perfect" but looks and is crap in reality. Ahem... Cash... You forgot to mention the heaviest dumb bell weight in the gym. That's VERY IMPORTANT information!!! LOL! Thanks for the tour!

Brighton Beach is a really nice area. People are friendly enough. Went to Kingsborough Community College for a couple of years and took a cooking and baking program at William E Grady CTE High School for my extracurricular course. The only negative is that winter is hell there because of the beach.

Amazing place! My sister just sold her beat-up one bedroom/one bath unit in Lincoln Towers for more than half the cost of that penthouse. No pool, no washer/dryer, no patio and no Georgia Shawarma.

They have 2 dining places😂 i’ll convert the 2nd one to a study place by itself or a guest bedroom. This can totally become 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms kinda place its a beautiful place too

Ken’s rating: A. Ok, how long did it take to get there? I took a subway to Coney Island many years ago, and it took over an hour. There is nothing I don’t love about this place. Well, I don’t really love the view. I’m not sure what the price would be on a monthly basis with the condo fee. In Midtown, this would probably be around $6,000,000 I would guess. Maybe a little cheaper in Long Island City.

NY meets Scandinavian style minimalism. All for the cool price of 1.25 million. Not bad for luxury Brooklyn digs. The building literally sells itself. Right next to everything in Little Russia and your world’s complete!

Really "kind of" dated. I would replace all the cabinets, flooring, fixtures and appliances. At least replace the counters with a darker granite which would provide a more modern look with the cabinets.
