Thank you so very much Kevin, we are all fantastic in this game. The only difference is our approach to specific problems, we all try to get to an answer as fast as possible. Luckily this one only took 10 or 15 minutes to diagnose. Aren’t the older stuff great 🙂🙂
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏 I’m glad you like it. It is actually very fast and easy to diagnose by blocking the injector pipe out. Especially when an injector fails as bad a this one, cheers mate 👍👍
Great way of finding stuck injector mate...you did exactly same as i did on a toyota alion 1.5 1nz engine.it was bit different scenario.it was getting locked due to filling cylinder with fuel and mechanic diag was ceased engine 😅after 20 minutes it was cracking no start due to lot of fuel in oil...anyways you nailed it so easy 👍🏿 😀 cheers 🍻
Check out this video where I had the same problem as you. An injector seriously over fueling causing a no start on a V6 engine. You might like it 🤞🤞 Audi Q7, crank no start ruclips.net/video/fD3aFqJO_j0/видео.html
dare i say that little blanking kit is both worth its weight and alot easier than setting up the leakoffs... great vlog peter as usual, funny tho... 100 grand worth of equipment and tools.. garage and lifts, and theres you out in the yard hahahahaha... same here.. so you were lucky, normally you get setup, or open first bolt and the heavens open..
Nice one, another method is to scope fuel rail pressure vs #1 injector current/signal at idle and wot snap. That will clearly show injector pressure drop and fuel pump function. Non invasive and much easier especially if fuel lines are not easily accessible. Thank you.
Thank you 🙏🙏 My basic thinking 🤨 I try to keep things as simple as I can. I’m not bright enough to be making things more complicated on myself 😂😂😂 Happy new year mate 🙏🙏
Hi @Kennedy’s garage I have a 1996 Toyota Dyna pickup truck and I’m having some issues with the rear park lights. The brake lights come on but the park lights won’t. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Hello . I have an NO4C Toyota dyna . Starts at half crank when cold but does not start when hot (after 30mins of driving or so ) . What can be the issue ?
@@kennedysgarage3281 They are the business Peter and they go forever (if looked after) and a very handy little yoke too … would love to have one for all the odd jobs around the house and dragging stuff
@@damienkearns9922 I must say it was nice to work on this one after being working on that DS5 I showed. It was a nightmare. Draining a battery down, it wouldn’t start after it went flat (even after charging). You have to clear codes & leave it for 10 minutes. Same crack if you disconnect the the battery. It all make good security sense but was awful to work on 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Timbo is correct, the leak off pipes are under the rocker cover. There are lots of ways of getting to a diagnostic conclusion but this is just the procedure I chose on this day. Use the easiest and most liked on each and every job. Good suggestion though Ray 😉👍👍👍
Great diagnosis and work around Peter , how handy are those blanks. This guy is at the top of his game folks.

I had a car towed in the other day, same problem as yours and solved it the same way as you did. Have just found your channel....love it 😊.

Handy kit that for blocking off at the fuel rail , That almost ran on one cylinder 👀. Thanks for sharing 👍
I was really surprised it tried to start on 1 and started on 2 cylinders. Some yoke 😂😂😂

Hey Lar, sometimes ‘time’ can be in short supply. So I’ll work anywhere to get an answer in 10 minutes or so 😂😂😂
Great job Peter.
Blocking off the common rail pipes is a really good diag technique. I will use that next time round 👍
Fast & dirty test, but it works well 👍👍

That test is something I’m not familiar with, could it be done on a no start ???
The Master - strikes again !!!👍
Nice diagnostic .

I have 4HL 1 engine when I load gear it goes off
Every single cartoon is a useful learning tool Peter…would a Mazda start on One/Two/Three or even four ⁉️‼️🤪
Aren’t these Toyotas some yokes 😂😂😂

No bother to you Peter 👍
A nice handy one to work on Patrick for a change 😂😂
leak off test would show worst injector too
It would, but this particular engine doesn't have external leak off lines

Text book logical diagnosis correctly reading & interpreting live data. :)))))
I knew the owner was on his way in and needed something for him relatively fast 😂😂😂
