@@ellisteinberg5800 we talk about COGAT policy that prevents PA from issuing citizenship to diaspora Palestinians. This prevents us from returning to places like Bethlehem bringing our skills and economy to the region and being able to participate in our own governance.

As a Palestinian Christian myself, I am always astounded that so few people know that Bethlehem is a Palestinian town. It is sad how many Christian pilgrims I know have traveled to the holy land, yet did not visit Bethlehem to see Jesus’s birthplace, with their tour groups. The Christians living there need the tourism so badly in order to survive. If any Christians decide to visit the holy land, please go to Bethlehem and support the Palestinians there. They are trapped by this hideous wall from the outside world- But I can assure you they are so friendly to tourists and would love to see you there. Thank you Dena for an excellent report.

As someone who has been to Bethlehem and Jerusalem I must say that the Palestinians I met are some of the most friendly and welcoming people in the world, more so than the Israelis I met. Bethlehem also felt very safe. Even walking the streets at night I never felt in danger. It's a shame that so many people miss out on the beauty of Palestine out of fear that it's some kind of dangerous warzone.

As a British Christian I went to Jerusalem about 5 years ago, thankfully I did do a tour of bethlehem and the west bank. The amazing tour guide who invited us all to his house and his family cooked us a wonderful meal. That was one of the highlights of the trip. The tour guide was Christian and we saw their struggles but yet he had so much love despite the restrictions and daily battles to lead a normal life. Everyone on the tour were from different parts of the world and we're deeply touched, I feel truly blessed to have shared that experience. I hope he and his family are all safe ❤

My friend, I think you should spend more time researching the essence of the struggle between the Jews and the Muslims. If you are a Christian, you should know that the Jewish area has always been the most heavily contested land on Earth, and always will be, until the return of Jesus, who establishes His kingdom in Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem. Currently, the Temple Mount (a Muslim holy site) is erected on the hallowed ground for Jews, Christians and Catholics (three faiths as one). A Jewish Temple was destroyed to build the Muslim Temple Mount. All three faiths, are Biblically commanded by God to rebuild the Third Temple on the very ground on which the Muslim temple currently sits. By denying the rebuild of the Third Temple, denies the very return of Jesus. That won't happen. You cannot support both the Christians and Muslims. The Bible calls it a fundamental battle between good and evil.
Thank you to the Palestinians including the Muslim community there for taking care of the Holy Christian sites. What the Israeli government has been doing for the past 70 years is unjust.

Thank you for your videos on Palestine. As an American Evangelical Christian I’ve had many questions about our country’s (and faith) allegiance to Israel and your videos explain much. I feel very sad to watch this. Very very sad. I was aware of Palestinian Christians in Palestine though as I go to a unique and diverse Evangelical church that knows Christians there and overall keeps us more informed of other Christians around the world.

As the apostle Paul prophesies in Romans 11:25, a time will come when Israel recognizes its own Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) and repents. My New Zealand Grandfather served in the middle east during WWII. He was able to visit all the Holy site's and walk the Via Dolorosa and attend mass at the Holy Sepulcher. This was the only part of the war he spoke about. He loved the Palestinian people and this experience bought him comfort. Look up the numbers in Muslim dominated countries. Each of them has had a thriving community of Christians until recent decades when such communities have all but disappeared due to being wiped out by persecution. Something has changed and gone very wrong in the culture of these countries.

Now, with what's happening after October 7th, Im really shocked at the way the public is acting with no sympathy for the Palestinian people. This reminds me of what my ancestors went through under the English occupation. We had to say mass at ancient religious sites because it was illegal to say Catholic mass. In castles of Gaelic Irish nobles, there was often a public Protestant chapel where they worshiped at to avoid penalty but then would go to the highest part of the tower and receive Catholic mass during the reign of Elizabeth I. It reminds me of the North of Ireland.

He had a wonderful and deep friendship with Daniel Barenboim, with whom he co-founded the East-West Divan Orchestra to blend Israeli and Arab musicians together. Mr. Barenboim hasn't truly recovered from Mr. Said's passing of a few years ago. I imagine if it had been Mr. Barenboim who passed away rather than Mr. Said, the same irreconcilable grief would be Mr. Said's heavy burden to carry.

They instead began to declare themselves "Arab" after the rise of that nationalist identity in early decades of the 20th century. Before that they considered themselves Falastini, Suri, Othmani; the Arabs were the Beduin not the settled Palestinians.

I'm from Peru and I support Palestinian right to their own land and sovereignty. I also feel bad because Israel has supported dictatorship of Dina Boluarte in Peru which has caused 28 dead people, as well as us embassy. I hope Israel some day respect Palestine land. @@ellisteinberg5800 we talk about COGAT policy that prevents PA from issuing citizenship to diaspora Palestinians. This prevents us from returning to places like Bethlehem bringing our skills and economy to the region and being able to participate in our own governance.

As a Palestinian Christian myself, I am always astounded that so few people know that Bethlehem is a Palestinian town. It is sad how many Christian pilgrims I know have traveled to the holy land, yet did not visit Bethlehem to see Jesus’s birthplace, with their tour groups. The Christians living there need the tourism so badly in order to survive. If any Christians decide to visit the holy land, please go to Bethlehem and support the Palestinians there. They are trapped by this hideous wall from the outside world- But I can assure you they are so friendly to tourists and would love to see you there. Thank you Dena for an excellent report.

As someone who has been to Bethlehem and Jerusalem I must say that the Palestinians I met are some of the most friendly and welcoming people in the world, more so than the Israelis I met. Bethlehem also felt very safe. Even walking the streets at night I never felt in danger. It's a shame that so many people miss out on the beauty of Palestine out of fear that it's some kind of dangerous warzone.

As a British Christian I went to Jerusalem about 5 years ago, thankfully I did do a tour of bethlehem and the west bank. The amazing tour guide who invited us all to his house and his family cooked us a wonderful meal. That was one of the highlights of the trip. The tour guide was Christian and we saw their struggles but yet he had so much love despite the restrictions and daily battles to lead a normal life. Everyone on the tour were from different parts of the world and we're deeply touched, I feel truly blessed to have shared that experience. I hope he and his family are all safe ❤

If you are a Christian, you should know that the Jewish area has always been the most heavily contested land on Earth, and always will be, until the return of Jesus, who establishes His kingdom in Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem. Currently, the Temple Mount (a Muslim holy site) is erected on the hallowed ground for Jews, Christians and Catholics (three faiths as one). A Jewish Temple was destroyed to build the Muslim Temple Mount. All three faiths, are Biblically commanded by God to rebuild the Third Temple on the very ground on which the Muslim temple currently sits. By denying the rebuild of the Third Temple, denies the very return of Jesus. That won't happen. You cannot support both the Christians and Muslims. The Bible calls it a fundamental battle between good and evil.

Due to October 7th I started to want to look more deeper into the issue and it all lead me to changing my mind on Israel. This video also opened my eyes further on the injustice, pain and suffering Palestinians are living under.

My New Zealand Grandfather served in the middle east during WWII. He was able to visit all the Holy site's and walk the Via Dolorosa and attend mass at the Holy Sepulcher. This was the only part of the war he spoke about. He loved the Palestinian people and this experience bought him comfort.

I watched this video when it came out and was heartbroken then. Now, with what's happening after October 7th, Im really shocked at the way the public is acting with no sympathy for the Palestinian people. What ha mas did was an atrocious act of terrorism, but Palestinian people were peacefully crying out before that, and no one listened. They were getting tortured, imprisoned, and dehumanized for so many years. Now, Is rael has a green light to just take them all out. I feel so stupid for not knowing that Bethlehem has been under blockade for a decade longer than Gaza.
This reminds me of what my ancestors went through under the English occupation. We had to say mass at ancient religious sites because it was illegal to say Catholic mass. In castles of Gaelic Irish nobles, there was often a public Protestant chapel where they worshiped at to avoid penalty but then would go to the highest part of the tower and receive Catholic mass during the reign of Elizabeth I. It reminds me of the North of Ireland.

The late Dr. Edward Said, a foremost Palestinian academic and often referred to as the father of postcolonial theory came from a family of Palestinian Christians. He spent almost all of his adult life in the US and was a professor of literature at Columbia University.
He was born in 1935, before the arabs adopted their new identity which wouldn't happen for another 30 years....I've also read that it was his father who was born in british mandate palestine but had migrated to egypt 10 years before edward was born and his mother was lebonease.
He had a wonderful and deep friendship with Daniel Barenboim, with whom he co-founded the East-West Divan Orchestra to blend Israeli and Arab musicians together.
Mr. Barenboim hasn't truly recovered from Mr. Said's passing of a few years ago. I imagine if it had been Mr. Barenboim who passed away rather than Mr. Said, the same irreconcilable grief would be Mr. Said's heavy burden to carry.

During the British mandate all peoples who lived in the area were Palestinian: Palestinian Jew, arab/palestinian. When the Jews declared their independence in 1948, they also announced themselves as Israelis. The arab/palestinians wouldn't drop 'arab' until the 1960s.

They instead began to declare themselves "Arab" after the rise of that nationalist identity in early decades of the 20th century. Before that they considered themselves Falastini, Suri, Othmani; the Arabs were the Beduin not the settled Palestinians.

I'm from Peru and I support Palestinian right to their own land and sovereignty. I also feel bad because Israel has supported dictatorship of Dina Boluarte in Peru which has caused 28 dead people, as well as us embassy. I hope Israel some day respect Palestine land. I am Christian and Palestinian and Israeli Christians are my brothers and sisters when are righteous people who respect the right of others.

3. In 1947, the British gave 76% of Palestine to the Arabs and established a new country called Jordan. (Most of the residents of Jordan are Palestinians, there are more Palestinians in Jordan than anywhere else in the world).
4. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict concerns the division of the remaining 26% of Palestine.
5. In 1948 the UN decided to divide the remaining 26% into two countries of equal area.
13% for Israel and 13% for the Palestinians.
6. Israel agreed to the UN partition in 1948, the Palestinians, the Egyptians, the Syrians, the Jordanians, each opposed for their own reasons.
7. The Palestinians were not expelled from their homes before the Nakba, which took place after the 1948 war had already started.
8. The Arab coalition started the war in 1948 by ethnically cleansing 100% of the Jewish community of Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron and East Jerusalem.
9. As a result of the war:
Approximately 700,000 Palestinians were deported, most of them to the West Bank and Gaza.
