The anime ending is yet another epic fail. Mappa have done their due dilligence, a firm salute. but they did not fix the aot ending.

she was very much frustrated at the world, and did not love the king.
she didn't actually do it because she cared for the king, she did it because she wanted to be loved herself.
the reason she freed those pigs is that she had empathy towards them because she ,was a slave. as a slave no one even reacted to her existence unless it was giving her orders. so by her nature she answers the orders given by the ruler. but the thing is that she couldn't break free of this effect even thousands of years later, the life of slavery has given her the mindest of a slave who will obey. the king is also the only living being that responded to her existence, which is the closest thing to love she ever had, the said feeling is something she wanted to feel so much she'd attempt to get it from him.
so why did eren say its because she loved him, if what she actually wanted was love itself?
he has the same problem. under the opposite circumstances.
he is in a way a part of ymir's desire to be free, and loved.
why did he suddenly care for it you might ask as well, since he didn't care for mikasa or anything that resembles love towards anything but brotherly love and his mother's.
well, there are a few reasons. the main one is that he saw the outside world.
when armin has shown him what is outside of it, he started to dream of a better life, and start to feel like cattle.
so he didn't care about anything else, until he understood it wasn't worth it. his dream was nothing but a fantasy and what's worse is that he realized he's going to die, being known as a psycho who murdered most of humanity. with the only people who knew him trying to kill him, with mikasa being succesful.
eren started to see mikasa diffrently because he started to see his life diffrently, he knew he was going to die, and that in 4 years he's dead anyway.
its why he started to see mikasa that way, why he became afraid of death unlike before. there's a lot more to it but if you actually read anything I hope I made it clear.

Historia's arc and her entire character was unnecessary to be honest. She was brought into the story outta nowhere, she was meant to be nothing more than a figure-head Monarch, and she played that role exactly, so who she marries or has a child with is reallynot matter even worthy of discussion. We already have Zeke Jaeger, who besides being the MC's half-brother, had more reasons to be in the story. He was more than enough to play the part of the royal blood titan shifter, needed to activate the Rumbling. Isayama really messed up.

Isayama himself called her one of the most important characters alongside eren and armin + at the end of ch 52 it's stated historia holds in her hands the key to the world's greatest mystery. Obviously, she was one of the first created characters but just got abandoned by the author in the end
@@annett5 because she was the only person with royal blood remaining in the walls, everyone else died plus Reiss Family was shown to be the ones who possessed any knowledge at all about the outside world and the Walls themselves at that point in the story. Historia played her role as much as she was supposed to, as for everything else, even Zeke coulddo that.
@@Tatakhae you're describing her as a plot device. Eren and armin weren't PDs, just like historia. She was supposed to do smth else but, as I said, isayama destroyed her, alongside yeager and arlert
@@annett5 her character really felt like one tbh. Isayama said he drew Historia as a regular Moe character, to add to the variety. Wheres Eren and Armin atleast had their respective roles and characters distinct from everyone else, they had their own parts that none other can play. Historia isn't comparable to them, they were the Protagonist and deuteragonist of the story, while she was just another side character meant to play her role for that particular Arc (Overthrowing the fake govt. And reclaiming her position as the Monarch) that showed her character progression, it developed and then her role concluded (from an unknown girl to the queen) all her character motivations resolved. As for moving the main story forward to its finale, Zeke was the only one necessary.

eren didn't screw over future generations. he simply understood they were too screwed up to be fixed. the entire third season part 1 was about eldians killing each other bec of greed.

While it's true there will always be conflict, if wont be on a scale of paradis getting wiped because both you and I know that had Eren finished the rumbling regardless of what happened to him after, paradis would be still standing in the credits.

He can control titans in past and make one of them avoid Bertholdt, his enemy, but not make his colossal titans leave hange, his friend, alone, in PRESENT. Their death wasn't even necessary

1)Armin who jerkss on annies crysal ,pretty useless even though having collosol titan.
2)Hange who does nothing after becoming corps commander,and then stupidly gives away her life to stop rumbling which ultimately destroy paradis.
3)Mikasa.
4)Conny who blame and hate eren because he laughs(in pain) at sasha death but has no problem befriending annie as she cutely eats cake.He forgets brutal killings of his comrades then brutally kills his own comrades(samuel and daz who were defending paradis island from invaders).
5)EREN, who forgets why he is rumbling. May be he forget because of bad story writing.(He is rumblig because he wanted to save his people and friends from threats especially outside threats)
I choose historia: she agreed on the 80-% rumbling. Even if she didn't, befriending the alliance after they killed eren is stupid

125 Annie showing no remorse and saying she would do it again - gets to be free in the end
126 The person you tried to capture is free and you laugh and forget anything happened because Annie funny pie
127 Hange wanting to stop Eren without any plan to stop the outside world from finishing what they started if they were to stop Eren, enemies join together with nearly no friction
128 Levi and everyone else don't even flinch seeing the Female and Armored titan, guess they forgot how they contributed to Erwin's death, their comrades and an entire districts worth of people
129 Entire fight is plot armor, no one gets injured and no one destroys the plane, Gabi is more competent than grown adult soldiers
131 Armin is suddenly in love with an enemy soldier who he helped in capturing and who killed many of his friends
132 Hange dies due to Eren's actions after Eren says he wants his friends to live long lives, everyone waving goodbye to Annie who once again is their enemy who did horrendous things and would do it all again, Hange seeing all the scouts that died due to the outside world attacking them, either it hints at an afterlife in AOT which doesn't fit at all or it's just her imagination before she dies

Armin ate Bertholdt, Bert was in mad love with Annie, Thats the reason Armin fell in love with her thats why he was just surprised when he saw Annie eating the pie but wasnt furious on her.
Its pretty clear, "humanity would reunite if something before mankind would appear as a greater threat" Eren was the threat thats why they joined forces, It wasn't out of pure friendship but cause they shared the same motive, Rewatch s1 Pixis clearly stated that.
Levi was not even in the best shape + infighting wasnt a solution atm, Levi is mature he cooperated with them cause that was the best choice, Levi never waved to Annie, Not to mention others weren't even on the mission when Annie committed all those crimes, Aside Mikasa and she didn't waved either.
Plane was quite literally destroyed,Yup the fight was pure plot but yet again there were 2 Ackermanns,(if you dont recall, In the first s1 it was literally stated that Mikasa is equal to a 100 soldiers not to mention Mikasa was just 13 atm ),numerous titan shifters and the top members of survey corps.
Eren quite literally said his plan had multiple flaws, Hange died cause of her actions.
Levi is literally a super human, Both Zeke and Levi survived the explosion, Zeke got aid by Ymir and Levi got aid by Hange.
Armin convinced Zeke was pretty obvious to me, It was clearly shown just how close Ksavier was to Zeke, He loved to play catch ball with him, Armin never changed Zeke's ideology, He just gave him "hope" And showed him the "meaning" Of life that yes live IS worth living for. Thats why Zeke thanked Grisha,Well I do agree they should have elaborated it more but what we got was enough.
Zeke was the one with royal blood, He basically acted as a bridge between rumbling and Eren, Ymir gave Eren coordinates and since Zeke was in paths Eren had full control of founder, Thats why when Zeke died rumbling stopped.
Kruger and other supporting alliance shows that they wanted a bright future for paradise but not by sacrificing the outside world, Eren only lost the hallucigenia he still had the founder (but yeah this kinda seems like a plot hole)
Again Ackermanns are just eldians who cant be turned into titans, and yet again i do agree Eren's love for Mikasa felt forced, I mean i do get it but still Eren never showed that level of affection for Mikasa up until the final chapter.

Just wanna clarify why Eren's mother's death does makes sense, There been many sense that seemed like plot, Like in ep 5 when the titan swallowed Eren but forgot to chew, What Eren's mother plot twist shows that Eren had the founder's power since the beginning, Every scene that seemed like a plot isnt a plot hole anymore, why? Since Eren had the power from the beginning he stopped that santa titan for chewing him, Why he even let himself being eaten in the first place? Just so younger Eren could learn about his powers, Eren was wounded matter of fact he was missing an arm and a limb which fills the criteria of making an injury, The second thing which was needed was motivation and a reason to turn into a titan, Eren was quite motivated to exterminate titans which fulfilled the second criteria...
If thats the case then why didn't he committed rumbling in the first ep? Why didn't he stopped titans from entering? Its just like what he said "I tried again and again but the results kept getting worse" Maybe in some timeline he did those things but he wasn't satisfied with the outcome, Eren's mother's death played a vital role, Giving Eren the motivation to keep moving forward, Yes Eren was motivated from the start but that was to see the outside world, Seeing his mother die in front of him filled him with the rage and hate against titans, To give you an ex in s1 one of the last ep , Eren's mother's death was the catalyst that made Eren transform, Before that he didn't had neither enough courage of motivation to even stand up, Each and every course of action that has ever happened in the story resulted to outcome we saw in the anime and thats what eren wanted a slight change and the entire timeline would change , Hope that clears it all.

@@OneMegaPiece Just my opinion but i think ymir has severe stockholm syndrome. Which i think is what the writers were going for and that makes sense based on all that happened to her but i feel like they should of made that a bit clearer in the anime.
@uchihaibz435 rather than Stockholm syndrome, they should have shown that she just has slave mentality syndrome and couldn't be free even when she has godlike powers because she doesn't know what freedom is. That's more believable.
"Only Ymir know" is literally AOT fan equivalent of "God works in mysterious way".
i liked the part when armin had a crush on the girl that could turn into a giantess who, y'know, killed some of his friends, his squad, his colleagues and almost killed his friend and a whole city.
in armin's mind: "so, annie, y'know when you crushed my teammates to death? i was like, totally imagining myself being crushed under your titan feet".

there seems to be a theme of forgiving unremorseful mass murderers through out the story. The entire alliance (mainly jean) absolutely cooks reiner for when he attacked paradis as the armoured titan and jean stomps him halfway to death while with annie, they just go "Oh annies back" and completely forget about how she decimated the levi sqaud and used a soldier as a yoyo with out a shred of remorse and didn't have to face ANY consequences for her actions by sealing herself inside a crystal and having the best sleep of her life for 4 years, while reiner on the other hand wants to die at any given moment and views himself as sub human trash, it gets to the point where he attempts to blow his own brains out but "NoOoO, Annie's BeEn ThRoUgH enOugH AlReaDy"
another thing that just kinda bugged me was that the alliance didn't really change their views towards eren, sure they were trying to kill him, but when ever they spoke about him, they spoke about him like a friend that picked up gambling again rather then a psychotic mass murderer responsible for the death of, once again BILLIONS, your telling if the person you love, one day just decided to annihilate 80% of the population and his best excuse was "Im just and idiot who got given alot of power" you wouldn't reconsider your love life?

granted the AOT ending is no where near as bad as the game of thrones ending, for me it borders on the edge of mediocrity after the anime revised version when I expected more so no GOT would still be sh*t anyway, it had great cinematography and music but its plot was beyond bad, as opposed to just mediocre bad for Attack on Titan

Yeah I initially just hated Floch, then I re-rewatched the series after the finale with an other perspective and I just thought that he made more sense than the main cast who had no fucking idea what they were doing. Just jumping from an objective to another, being reactionary, team up with the warriors who killed so many of their friends and family members, killing their own people in favor of the rest of the world that just wanted them all dead. Mikasa was not related to him by blood and neither was she adopted by Jaegers as their child. She had nowhere to go after her parents were murdered, so Grisha let her stay with them. So, yes technically, Mikasa and Eren are not siblings by any means.

All he had to do is establish clearly Yimir sees her descendants as her children and feels responsible for them at the same time wants freedom from her powers. In such case instead of nonsensical Mikasa-Yimir thematic link we have Eren-Yimir. Both want freedom for themselves and their people.
Alternatively if we want to go with full personal freedom, everyone else be demanded (makes even better thematic connection to selfish motivation angle to Eren), make Yimir's powers be bound by blood of Eldians (not some bs Stockholm syndrome). The entire nations is legacy of her slavery to Fritz and reason she can't die in peace. Good tragedy potential, good bases for internal conflict among main cast.
It's so simple, so perfect fit solution to this unnecessary plot problems it almost seams like it was initial intent from Yams. Then he pulled the Last Jedi on his readers to "subverse" their expectations just for sake of it. Almost everything that is rushed, underutilized and nonsensical in both anime and manga ending COULD work, If only Yams didn't chicken out, took a breath or two and didn't try to pull M.Night Shamlala twist.
I don't know if I like the whole concept as a whole but the last part is spot on, Yams seemingly tried going for an unexpected ending and dragged the story a long into this mess

It took me debating with Season4 Ending Defenders for me to know Attack on Titans Ending was Trash. 😂 The people defending this Ending are ALL OVER THE PLACE, they really dont know what they're talking about. They both defend the ending, but also hate Erens Rumbling, but when you argue for the fact that there were literally a dozen ways Eren could've won, without genocide using the Rumbling, they'll call you "Reddit Headcannon Theorist🤡" and say "You dont understand Attack on Titan, its about how Conflict Never Ends and there's no happy ending blah blah blah🤓". One things for sure, Attack on Titan is an Inferior Copy of Code Geass.

I was just able to understand why they wouldn't end up together because I as a viewer didn't have his own head stuck up his own ass.
So seeing him cry about how he didn't want Mikasa to move on made me CRINGE HARD because it fucked up his character

Yeah, like the man shown no damn romantic feeling towards Mikasa since the damn beginning of this story. If ya wanted to show that Eren DID had atleast had some romantic for Mikasa, ya should’ve let them kiss at the end of season 2 during the rescue arc. Hell, in a matter of fact let me cook and show you the power of loooooahwaaaave.
After Eren mentally beats himself up when he witness Hannes get eaten by the same titan that ate his mother, Mikasa comes to his side to comfort him, she talk about how grateful and appreciative she is, not for that fact that he saved her life multiply times, but given that life meaning and the reason why she loves him, why she loves being around him is because he give that same life reason. She goes for a kiss and Eren accepts and embraces it. From that speech and that kiss he realizes not only how much he loves Mikasa but the people in his life, which give him the strength to get back up and fight, because like how he was inside the stomach of a titan, HE BE DAMN TO EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVEN UP NOW. Yes he is weak, yes he is useless and yes this power would’ve been better suited to anyone else, he is more than willing to attack and push forward for the sake of the people he loves behind him.
This is why I find Eren Yeager to not only be my favorite character but the best holder of the Attack Titan.

Omg first time hearing your Voice. Agreed the ending is still garbage and the anime didn't fix anything other then one Armin line. The reason why anime onlys love the ending is because great animation, osts and thr wait between each season. They forget most of the tnemes, plots and motivations and retcon hence why its easier to digest. Unlike in tbe manga where you can easily just go back and reread it.
