for foregoing the doors and the actually pretty good looks, I think I would take this over the model x. Part of me wants to say "I'm sure the infotainment isn't that slow" but part of me is also aware it probably is that slow.
Jaguar has done well in matching its I-Pace car to Tesla’s Model X. However, Jaguar can surpass Tesla by going where Elon Musk has vowed to never go -- hydrogen fuel cell assist. Mercedes-Benz has done just that with its GLC F-Cell. You can drive it as an everyday battery car or as a long trip car with its onboard fuel cell. Hyperion Motors, an Ohio company, is building a breathtaking car in California that you can drive day in and day out for 300 miles -- charging it at home -- or that you can drive for an additional 700 miles by topping off its two hydrogen tanks.
An Apple person won't buy an Android device yet Android devices outsell Apple devises because of choice, availability and cost. As good as Tesla might be, they should worry because there are a host of very good EVs on the way that perform as good, are less expensive and come from manufacturers with pedigree and a huge dealer network. Tesla's market share is miniscule at best, it's not about beating them at there own game, it's about convincing others that an EV will work for them and that means getting the cost down and delivering on a promise. Right now, Tesla is struggling with both.
Another automaker enters the EV market with yet another type of charger. Its almost like automakers are conspiring to make EVs impractical. Every new EV released in the US should be licensing and using Tesla's charger so they can take advantage of the existing infrastructure.
"Another automaker enters the EV market with the charger settled on as a standard by GM, Ford, Renault, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Kia, Hyundai and Volkswagen." FTFY
Most important thing to know that it’s not made in Britain or has anything to do with the uk....it’s made in Austria under licence. Not really a Jaguar.
the only reason why i would buy this Jaguar 1- they extend their warranty bumper to bumper 15 years 150K mails -2- I have the money .. which is .. it will never happened : - ) i would like to see it how it will stand in reliability within the first 5 years .. more interesting in 10 years !!
I getting sooo tired of publications comparing this to the Model X. The Tesla is MUCH larger than this hatchback (it's as much an SUV as is the Chevy Bolt.. I didn't buy that BS from GM and I'm not buying it from Jaguar) Is the VW Alltrack an SUV? No.. it's a taller more capable wagon... And that's all the I-Pace is. A taller more capable hatchback. Great! But stop trying to BS everyone...
Taking Tesla into water voids your warranty but Jaguar recommends you to off-road with I Pace . Jaguar doesn't have pannel gaps and a half baked Lane keep assist. It also gives a 5 year ,60,000 miles of warranty . Waymo is buying 20,000 Jaguars . The Indian brand is better than Tesla .
Trades46 it might be a luxury brand but it's got terrible British reliability and is known for sporty gasoline cars, they've got nothing on Tesla's software systems and electric car experience. this isn't a model X competitor this is a compromise for ppl who can't afford a Tesla
Ankit Panigrahi Dude, American cars destroy European cars in terms of reliability. This isn't my opinion after reading some half baked reliability surveys that hold no weight, but rather, my personal experience owning multiple American and European cars from various brands and time periods. Although some eras for American cars were shit, the 70's and 80's spring to mind, they're killing the game right now. This Jag is nice, it certainly looks a lot better than the model x, but I doubt this will last as long as a Telsa, or a Ford, or a gm product, but you can probably beat fca, so there's that lol.
Ankit Panigrahi I saw a Model 3 recently and the panel gaps were very minor to the point where it will be stupid to complain. No misaligned trim either. And the Jaguar doesn’t have a half baked lane keep assist compared to what? Tesla has autopilot and recently I’ve seen Model 3s take exits flawlessly and change lanes while in a curve. Your arguments are stupid.
Its a cross over sedan thing? Still cool.

roguedogx It is that slow. I mean, it’s a Jaguar. What do you expect, 60 FPS 120 Hz display at 4K? No.
Cooley will love it!
Isaak Wing especially with ugly being included at no extra cost lol
Isaak Wing lmao
All the company's need to bring the price down to get these cars into the mainstream
I don't expect Jaguar are planning on leqaving the premium end of the market.
Why be First when you know updates are needed and wanted later...
Looks nice
Huh? Time for CPU upgrade?huh what? Model is not even out yet! In the video I even saw the lag 🤣 nice job jaguar

I doubt a single model X person would ever consider this over a Tesla
sadman hoque You’re right, they won’t...

At this point I wonder if Tesla is a going concern.
Not bad at all for $85K. Just worried about Jaguar’s long-term reliability.
Nice video...but the microphone is soooooo bad
Where’s Cooley? Notice every video with him has more views. We need him doing the car reviews again
A laggy UI. These car companies still don't get it do they?
How can these be only 90k in the US when they are more like 115k in Europe where it is built?
EU prices include taxes, US prices exclude taxes.
Review the first ever legitimate Tesla rival with Coolie or I will unsubscribe. Coolie gives me the fresh Vive of the 80s.
Ankit Panigrahi The good, the bad the bottom line, and he can price it cnet style
Ankit Panigrahi um dude that review is back at CNET on cars... I think.
British cars and electronics what could go wrong.
Bryce it’s not British it’s made under license in Austria.

Magna-Steyr is a Canadian company operating in Austria.
It's designed and engineered by Jaguar, in the UK, with Magna-Steyr manufacturing in Austria on a sub-contract basis.
Looks better than Tesla

Nice review but that laggy infotainment system is a complete joke.
Teslas tax credit is about to go out since they're gonna hit 250k in d us. So time for the competition:) ye baby
Still plenty of time to order and take delivery of a model S or X this year, which is all you need to do to get full federal tax credit.

Why does the Jaguar look like a Volvo?
Darien Long GRSE! Uhm where?
Tyus Robinson I saw styling of the C70, C80. When I looked at it just look like a Volvo. It didn’t look like a Jaguar.
Where’s Cooley? This guy annoys me.
Why is he saying Tesla with a Z just whyyy where is the Z danngg

Tesla builds cars that don't even need promotion, THAT is brand recognition
sadman hoque even car people knows Jaguar is luxury brand. Tesla can suck it.
