Last year I was lucky enough to harvest a cackling Canadian goose, that was hatched before 2004 and banded in Kasiglook, AK. Another cool thing was, He was double banded with a $100 marking on it. The state department mailed a check to me... what a cool experience.
Bob, remember to always send Fred down wind just encase you aren't sometimes ....Super important in a huge spread, since there are so many distractions with that many deeks- That will help him to learn to use his nose more... Good job man, Fred's doing awesome, and minds you very well, big win right there, the rest is soon to follow, beautiful dog ya got there-
That is one big spread. I'm kind of surprised that center pivot didn't work out better. Considering the landed edge birds, can a spread get to big? Never thought I would ever question that. Congrats on the band guys!
Love to see you still haven’t given up on the Franchi affinity! I have the affinity 3, and I love it. Great shotgun that is under appreciated in my opinion! Best of luck out there!
Hi, you can regard me as I feel bad. I hate because I'm disabled now and I miss Huntington very much. Watching your show helps a great deal for me. Are you sure where saying it's still good and it helps to watch your program, love your show.😊😢
Bobby... been following you for some time now!! I love and look forward to every video you put out! I was actually stationed in Fort Riley Kansas. And absolutely fell in love with Kansas and everything outdoors that the state brings. This past November I finally got back there to the Cheyenne bottoms! I love hunting that marsh! I would love to find more places to hunt in Kansas! Also I would love to get in on a hunt with you... I’ve been thinking of filming some of my own hunts and would love the chance to hang out with you... I’ve have fully immersed myself into my waterfowl hunting after all my deployments it has been my savior and I’d like to do more with other vets that may be struggling and need that hobby!
Bobby I would recommend putting Fred in a MoMarsh just outside the blind so that he can see birds falling and decrease his desire to break. Yes, he needs work on his steadiness but a part of the reason he’s leaving the blind is to mark birds. Train with the MoMarsh like you would with a place board.
Had the same problem hunting s center pivot too, tried white suiting it and a frame by the pivot and the birds would do the same things the birds in the video are doing 🤷🏻♂️
Bobby just hang on to him. I know I know you said that in your last video but practice makes perfect. Not meaning that Fred does not do a good job for you. Best of luck with the videos and the season. Hope you have a great holiday
Shot a Tule goose at Sacramento refuge in the mid '60s that was banded. The band is as thick as a nickel on one side, nearly worn thru on the other side. Can't remember the data that I got back off the number sent in. But it was, very, very old.
Set out your decoys in a horse shoe spread....this means they might land in the center of the spread but closer to you as if t fill in that big tear drop gap instead of landing outside the bulk of our spread?
Put up two blinds. One on each open end. When spread is so large one or the other will get birds near. And the distance apart in a HUGE spread means you can shoot safely.
Create a landing zone just in front of the blind and put most of your spread behind. Also think of aliening your blind short side to the landing zone. Mike from Osage City
I shot a greater white front last year female hatched in 2008 or earlier, by Haysville, KS. I wish I would have mounted it now also. It was banded in North Slope Borough, Alaska shot 4,000 miles from where it was banded.
The guys that I hunt with would have gave Fred the band. Cool that it went to someone on there 2nd goose hunt though. If you didn’t have so many guys I would have gone out and laid in the decoys.
Hey I’m heading down to Kansas from Michigan for a guide I’m really excited but I was wondering if there’s any opportunity for this time of year for stateland hunting
Hey Bobby! What type of shells do you use? Looks like Rogers Sporting Goods is using your banded speck on their twitter for promotional purposes? Maybe?
HOPE YALL ENJOYED AND IF YOU WANT TO HELP SUPPORT THE CHANNEL GET A DUX HOODIE HERE! bit.ly/AFFDUX
Yea
U got me in to this kind of stuff you pretty much made me go broke
But I love your vids I’ve been wanting u for a long time I no you ant big but you make my day when u post
BobbyGuyFilms y’all don’t have my size BOB!! Completely out of 2XL on pretty much all the sweet hoodies and wader sweats
@BobbyGuyFilms what were all those birds at 4:55?😂
Do a taste test between a speck, snow, and a Canada and see how which taste the best and worst and cook them the same way. Thanks, Reese!
Speck, Canada, Snow. In that order, hands down
will do
Never ate spec but honkers are way better than snows.
SCOTT Allen only ate speck once and it was best tasting bird I’ve ever eaten except sandhill crane
Speck hands down

You're awesome, and following/doing your dream. Keep it up, and I love the videos

That dip’n’dots type of ice falling is called Graupel.
Not kidding Bobby make your decoy spread smaller. Put out like 50-60 decoys and put some rate next to ya. It will work
Bob pick up some of the dive bomb tall socks and sit under them in layout chairs. Works great on Texas birds anyways
That is one big spread. I'm kind of surprised that center pivot didn't work out better. Considering the landed edge birds, can a spread get to big? Never thought I would ever question that. Congrats on the band guys!
too big was or to the issue
Can’t wait to have a hunt like this! Congrats on the band 😍🤩🤩🤩🤩 the bird was gorgeous as soon as I get my first one I’m mounting it!
Not sure if anyone else agrees, but as a viewer I like the red dot on the Shotkam best. I really enjoy the channel though. Keep it up.

Bob you should do a top ten moments of the year video
i’m watching this with one decoy in the water in my suburb trying to get some duck to fly in to my spread to practice my calling. love u bobby!
And a band can’t wait to watch
MY GUY!
Awesome hunt
One day you will have a mounted band. I feel it.
Keep on keeping on
Don’t stop your goose hunting video
I was in Alaska over the summer and I watched them banding birds they do hundreds at a time it’s crazy
Hey Bobby I’m currently watching this at work and I promise you guys just called in the geese around me 🤯🤯🤯
You should do some solo or like 3 man group of layout blind hunting, love those videos!

Bobby your awesome!! And Fred has improved so much!! You should be proud!!
I’m very very proud

Anchorage AK here, you’re welcome buddy.
I killed a 14 year old Blue a few years ago. My cousin killed a 21 year old snow as well.
Personal experiences is that the birds key in on motion and want to land close to that. Generally put the motion within 20 yards from the blind.
That calling sounded pretty dang good!
I like how not all the shot cams are hits. Shows the truth that you won’t hit every shot and that’s okay
I'm glad you are finally going to get a handle on the breaking! This will make hunting over your dog much safer and more enjoyable!!
Hey Bobby I got a 14 year old Canadian last year, at the time it was older then me
Hey Bobby love these good old fashioned goose hunts, keep 'em coming
GOOD TO KNOW THANK YOU
Your welcome Bobby thanks for replying.
Had the same problem hunting s center pivot too, tried white suiting it and a frame by the pivot and the birds would do the same things the birds in the video are doing 🤷🏻♂️

I am gonna have to stop calling you bud there bobby 🤣 gréât hunt there bobby 👍🦆🦆🦆
Another good one Bobby awesome shot cam. Thank you for sharing peace out
wow very cool
That’s awesome! I’ve lived in Anchorage my whole life, never got a band though!
It’s sooo cool
Other then Fred, the shot cam is the best thing to happen to your channel this year.
I finally seen this video, and I’m from West coast Alaska. I finally caught my first band last year and it was a 9 year old brant
My very first ever canada was banded. It was 12 years old banded outside of Ontario, banded in 2001 killed in 2013 in Pa.
Shot a Tule goose at Sacramento refuge in the mid '60s that was banded. The band is as thick as a nickel on one side, nearly worn thru on the other side. Can't remember the data that I got back off the number sent in. But it was, very, very old.
Love it Bob, absolutely love it!!!!
Saw a giant flock of geese hunkering down in a HS football field last weekend and first thing that came to mind was they're hiding out from BobbyGuy!!
This is awesome!! I live in Anchorage and the fact you got a band is so sick!!
That’s awesome
To bad y’all didn’t call it in sooner, it looked like a fully mature bird.
Loving the videos and the advice for spreads and decoy setups, it helps out
good to hear
Love the videos so much Bobby and I always love to solo hunts as well
Set out your decoys in a horse shoe spread....this means they might land in the center of the spread but closer to you as if t fill in that big tear drop gap instead of landing outside the bulk of our spread?
I hear you on the pivot cause in Arkansas they don't like power lines that run across middle of field
Fred should have took that band home hands down!!! , cheers
Nice hunt bobby love to see the goose hunts
Can you tell Dux’s to make more duck and goose calls we’ll you work with them but can you guys make more 😁
Nice one bob love the vids
Love an ol pivot blind hunt
Nice. This season I got a goose that was banded in Utah... shot in Saskatchewan. My dog’s first handed bird too.
Really great video keep up the awesome content Bobby!
Dang Bobby love your videos! Would love to come out and hunt with you sometime! All my family lives in Kansas around the Garnett area!
Put up two blinds. One on each open end. When spread is so large one or the other will get birds near. And the distance apart in a HUGE spread means you can shoot safely.
do a video on decoy placement
and maybe one on costs of waterfowl hunting.
Thank u Bobby very cool
What brand of call was Joey using? It sounds Great!
I use a screw in type dog tie down and a short two foot rope with a clip release. It works great.
I love the dux gear and good video and I like BaseMap
What we do when duck land on the middle of the field on hunts we either park the side by side there or put a post with a orange vest
I also got a banded hen mallard today in New York
woooow
And my first drake redhead
Bobby this is gonna be a banger!
Make a larger kill hole & a little closer to your blind, should get them in decoying range instead of short stopping you
Also one question!! What shot size do you recommend on hunting wood ducks? #2 or #4
4
Love the vids I’m hoping to make the trip next year for geese in Canada but haven’t got my passport yet
Merry Christmas, keep up the great work!
Meet Christmas to you as well thank you!!!
Fascinating video ❤️
Keep it up bobby
You know how it is smashing that like button know the video is a banger keep it up
Could you do a video on how to set decoys if you don't have very many
Cant believe some people dislike these vids
Hell yeah bobby getting a a400 extreme plus for Christmas

Create a landing zone just in front of the blind and put most of your spread behind. Also think of aliening your blind short side to the landing zone. Mike from Osage City
Love the channel. Keep it up.
Awesome hunt!
Yea man
Friend of mine and some of his friends killed a banded snow goose last year. It was 19 years old. Real cool. He lost the drawing for the band too 😂
I shot a greater white front last year female hatched in 2008 or earlier, by Haysville, KS. I wish I would have mounted it now also. It was banded in North Slope Borough, Alaska shot 4,000 miles from where it was banded.
love the shotcam
Hey Bobby can u explain how u lead the birds u shoot?? Love the camera on your gun but man it seems like u lead them a lot! Thanks
MY FIRST BAND WAS A 13 yr CANADA BANDED IN MY HOME STATE OF MICHIGAN IN THE UPPER PENINSULA!! ""GOOSEMAN"" OUT!!
The guys that I hunt with would have gave Fred the band. Cool that it went to someone on there 2nd goose hunt though. If you didn’t have so many guys I would have gone out and laid in the decoys.
Keep up the vids Bobby
FOR SURELY!!!
Totally agreed on the "chief" thing haha
hahahahhahap
Man I'd Love to hunt specks too bad there aren't many out west!
Just a question what’s the big deal about banded geese? I don’t really hunt geese but I’m curious

Hey I’m heading down to Kansas from Michigan for a guide I’m really excited but I was wondering if there’s any opportunity for this time of year for stateland hunting
Great vid bobby
I had 24 speckled belly geese on our little lake 30 miles south of Madison Wisconsin. I have never seen specs in our area
Hey Bobby! What type of shells do you use? Looks like Rogers Sporting Goods is using your banded speck on their twitter for promotional purposes? Maybe?
