In Sims 5 you won't have to buy DLC to unlock basic game features. Instead you will have to buy DLC to unlock the necessary game files to make the game run

For those curious, I just checked the US prices on Steam. The base Sims 4 is free, and all the DLC together comes out to a total of $994.

Holy fuck, I bought all the sims 3 DLC and thought I overpaid still despite getting it all on sale over the course of a few years. I miss when the packs were closer to maybe 15 total. I mean Christ what is this, prey?
On the Turkish version of Steam, the base game is also free but all of the dlcs cost around 10000 lira, for reference, the monthly minimum wage is 5000 lira lmao

I've been doing it since I bought the base game and was majorly disappointed.. haven't bought a single pack since but I sure have played them 🤭 To be fair I update it for my friend, but I haven't played it myself in a couple years. The one time I tried I got triggered by Katrina Caliente and had to play TS2 to chill out 💀

Oh no, There are great simmers that have kept up. quite nicely. Look up Sims 4 updater :3 They literally save simmers from EA's cruelty!

It's actually really easy to be kicked out school in this DLC. I got stuck in an eternal loop of being kicked out & re-applying to school. Had to install a specific mod to get past that issue. It just works...
@@DBswag_ Yeah I didn't get the pack because I heard you can get expelled after one warning or something crazy like that? Makes me scared to even actively play the school. Plus there seems to be way too many notifications to count!

In high school I was tall and skinny... my backpack weighed as much as 1/3 of my bodyweight... the amount of shit they had you carry around was honestly ridiculous. I walked 1.5 miles home... I now have light back and knee problems... I wonder why.

At least Paradox games like Stellaris has DLC that add to the game substantial content changes, Sims 4 DLCs are 1/3 of what Sims 3 Expansions/DLC were.
Not enough content to justify these dlc prices go and buy multiple AAA games with that money instead

High school was one of the worst periods of my life, of f*ing course I would buy a dlc which revives that period.
I think people would be fine with all the dlc if you could unlock it with in game currency...
the only way these companies will do that is by making the currency virtually impossible to earn enough of, but just enough to edge you into buying the packs anyways.

for the 19 days sim life thing; there are options for short, medium, and long sims life, and a setting to stop aging for played/unplayed/current households in the gameplay section of the settings
Once again stating that continuing the series you should add the DLC onto the same save (keeping the last one on) so that in several episodes we'll find Patrick at the bar with that episodes character. Give the world a bit more charm later on if he does continue looking through everything he bought.
I want to see you make Martin Septim in the Sims. And if you can be bothered. Jauffre and the Adoring Fan. And then your own Hero of Kvatch as a Wizard/Vampire.

American Psycho is a fun read, it's chaotic but leaves a profound impression. I like the novel more than the film. It's funny how dad wears pink slippers, it symbolizes that he's both the father and the mother for his son.

My biggest complaint is how so many of the DLC are so bland and shallow, especially the towns. None of the houses are interactable and it is so dissapointing especially for like 40 bucks
All I want is the Sims 2 ultimate collection brought back with patches to work on modern hardware.

If the base game permanently stays free that says to me that this is their last push to get people to buy dlc before they go full swing into sims 5. Never buy dlc unless it's on sale

We don't PLAY American Football, we listen to the fantastic late-90s emo/mathrock band American Football. Easy mistake to make.
Remember when sims 3 did paranormal? Giving us zombies that showed up on full moons, fairies, wearwolves, vampires, ghosts, and witches for options on your sim? All that along with a shit load of new furniture and clothing options as well as new traits, jobs, and main aspirations? All that for $30. Now for $40 you can get this. Looking back at sims 3 again for the same price you could get into the future, a pack that added a future environment that allowed you new aspirations, robot sims with completely unique mechanics, and several completely different types of furniture per category? All on top of the new traits, shit loads of clothing and new mechanics just for the future environment like a constantly changing Descendents line and 3 different states to the future, even allowing you to have a new lot that didn't interfere with your standard lot.
I'm not saying sims 3 was perfect, but when they had the balls to charge you $30 or more they made damn sure it was worth your money and even the $20 packs put most of the $40 sims 4 packs to Shame, like show time, that shit added loads of new crap and even gave us genies, ea has always been greedy but sims 4 is a new low

This reminded me of those memes about EA selling a burger without the patty and other ingredients and you have to buy the "patty" DLC to add the patty to your burger.
Case in point, remember when the Sims 3 Supernatural expansion pack which cost 40 bucks has 4 supernatural race for you to play with. Now with the Sims 4, you have to buy Vampires and Werewolves seperately with each costing 20 bucks.
In short, 40 bucks in Sims 3 got you 4 new race while 40 bucks in Sims 4 got you 2 race. Same price but less content. The same with the "Cats and Dogs" expansion with the exclusion of horses and you can buy "My first pets stuff" to add features and stuffs which should've been included in the "expansion" pack itself.

I Doubt you’ll see this but heard you like suggestions from fans, while I am a newer fan theres an Amazing Alien Vs Predator mod, I forgot the name of it, but if you look ip videos you could likely find it, it adds ALOT of new content, including 3 Yautjia races, multiple predator armors and weapons, multiple temples where you can find and hunt both Aliens and Engineers, and a fe new followers, the first one you can get is at a Thalmor controlled fort close to the coast, I forgot the name of the fort, but after Eliminating the Thalmor outside you can get your first Yautjia follower, aswell as a Savage war axe, your first set of Predator gear will be found in Helgan, inside a chest, you’ll also find three books that have tue word Yautjia, read all three, they will mark locations on your map from temples with enemies, to enemy Yautjia camps, and even Derelict ship near Windhelm where you can get two more Yaujia followers, more masks, and buy things from the mod from a mask maker, including stuff to upgrade with. Inside the ship theres also a dungeon you can go through for special stuff, I should tell you this first: Level yourself up to atleast 10, the enemies in the mod can be quite OP, also if theres Facehuggers, take then out first, while having less HP and being smaller, they’re attacks deal intense damage, ignoring them is a way to die quickly.
oh man you mentioned lockers and books, while i had a half-wall length locker my high school in Texas was massive and we only got 7 minutes between class. You can imagine that using said locker wasn't a viable option so i had to carry all my books (didn't even fit in my backpack) on top of my gym stuff. But what i want to know is were your desks and chairs way to small and uncomfortable, cause that's what fcked my posture up more than anything.
Something gives me the hunch that micky has been watching a lot of jerma. Not sure what it is.
