As a teacher of tiny humans I too can’t resist buying picture books. Oliver Jeffers is great. I also love any books by Tom Percival, Mo Willems or Lucille Colandro. They are great and my kiddos love them.
Ok, now I get it! By explaining your books, it was also explaining your art. And you've got me thinking about my own art, too. I like how-to books. In the '80s we lived in California and watched a show on tv called Draw Squad and I love the book about it, Mark Kistler's Draw Squad. 😎
These books are excellent! I love the colors and the illustrations. Kids will love the short stories. From an artist perspective these books are truly inspirational and give me some ideas on how to illustrate things. Thank you.
Ooo picture books yay!📚🥳 I need to add to my collection too. I love Oliver Jeffers, Lost & Found is my fav 🐧 the anthology looks really cool with his sketches included. Aw thanks for the mention too! The Tiger who came for tea is a classic! In my nostalgic collection would be The Tunnel by Anthony Browne, his illustrations were so surreal and cool.
Hi! I've just discovered your channel with this video, as I'm also an enthusiastic fan of picture books. I've been browsing your other videos and your instagram and I need to tell you I think you're an amazing artist. I love your style and versatility. Can't wait to watch all your videos and delight my eyes with each and every post in your instagram feed. Congrats ! You're so so so talented.
Lovely video as always and I love your colletion! My favorite from Chris Haughton is "shh we have a plan" you should check it out it's really pretty. Also I hope everything goes well with your moving 😊💕
The art style you like resembles the backgrounds of looney tunes cartoons and here i'll recommend books like the noble command my Maurice noble and the chuck jones books chuck amuck and chuck reducks...also they're kinda expensive so be on the look-out or check out the kindle versions
Loved this video! I’ve been thinking of making one about my picture books for a while also (fellow collector here). Your collection is impressive! I have limited space, so I have to juggle between picture books and art books, but seeing yours made me definitely want to buy some more 😝 one of my favourite picture books is called The Land of NeverBelieve, by Norman Messenger. It’s an oldie, but I find it very imaginative and it’s also done traditionally. I also always try to check picture books when I go to other countries, I have some lovely Italian as well. Now I have to share mine too!
I’m glad you liked it! I found a bunch of books I loved in Italy when I was there, but I didn’t end up buying any. I just took photos so maybe I can buy them later. I take a lot of photos of book to buy later!

I haven’t heard of a couple of those so I will have to check them out! Thankyou :)

I’m glad you liked it Emma! I don’t think I’ve heard of The Tunnel so I’ll have to look it up :)
Yes! The riso print book! It also reminds me of vintage kids books with the limited palette.
Yes! I can see that. They are so cool.
Fun to see what inspires you and why. Love the bit at the end for the thumb nail pic!
I’m always collecting so maybe I can do another one in a few months time :)
That was so inspiring, thank you for sharing❤
Awesome! I hope to do another one this year, I am still collecting!
