Nuchal Translucency Scan (or "12 Week Scan") at The Birth Company in Harley Street, London. Here the fetus can be seen in detail. The scan confirms that there is a heartbeat, and the number of fetuses. The baby's head, trunk, arms, legs, hands and feet can be seen and we will look at the placenta, amniotic fluid and umbilical cord. Also referred to as the Combined Test, this scan is performed alongside a blood test to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down's Syndrome.
