Underrated by whom? Damn near anytime you read about Skynyrd people are raving about Collins. Could he play blues? Sure, but he wasn't a bluesman, he and the rest of the band were rockers, aimed at wild eyed country guys and gals.
Had this album on CD when I was 18. This and "need all my friends" started skipping pretty fast since I would listen to them over and over. Couldn't find this song for years cause I couldn't remember the name! My absolute favorite Lynyrd song! Thanks for the upload.

Josh Sheets - You should listen to "heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin, it's the same solo, not sure who wrote it first but I think they were showing respect to the other one by copying it (that's how I see it anyway).
paul heese - It's pretty much note for note, different key though. I'm not hating on Allen or Jimmy Page, they're my two favorite guitarist, I'm just pointing out that those two solos are almost identical.
Thanks for sharing this-I just got done watching Jeff beck,B.B.King,Clapton,and Robert Cray playing Sweet Little Angel. These guys are excellent. Lol my wife just said"That's Skynyrd?" Great tune Great band! Thanks again for sharing.

I don't anything really happened to music in this country but something definitely happened to radio. There's still tons of great music being made out there, it didn't suddenly just go away.
Im really freaking out right here cause I've never heard a lot of these songs and I thought I'd heard them all but I absolutely love it. And Thanks for posting these . And I absolutely agree with Allen Collins and Stevie Gaines are 2 of the most underrated guitarist in the world .
The first track is Sweet Little Angel by BB King. The Allman Brothers did a great version of this song too, but it's under the name Hour Glass. And like this it also has How Blue Can You Get.
I'm sitting here wondering if I'm still sane or not 😂 I thought I'd heard every song that Skynyrd had done and I'm 56 years old . I have never heard this song and it's really kinda embarrassing on my part because I am so obsessed with music especially Skynyrd being my favorite band ever . I just can't figure out how in the Hell I've missed this one and listen to ALLEN COLLINS !!! It's a Damn shame that these boys are still not with us and Allen Collins and Stevie Gaines are 2 of the greatest guitarist That's ever lived and that's not even debatable . Of course the S### they call music today is nothing but a bunch of hyped up BS that's mainly digital BS in my opinion but it sales and that's all these record labels are worried about . Thank you for posting this ! Now I'll sit here for the rest of the day listening to this over and over . And I guarantee you I can't find one person In my small circle of friends that's ever heard this ! And if they have then Im going to probably exercise my right to free speech and cuss them till a fly won't crawl around them for not telling me about it .
