- The line which once connected Purna in the deccan with places as far as Ajmer in the north; was restricted to only a mere 291km distance by 2015. The only remaining portion in this line was Akola - Mhow stretch. There were a total of 6 pairs covering the stretch of which 4 did the entire distance. And 2 others served the Akola Khandwa stretch.
Here I Present a tribute to this MG line which is the sole connectivity to many places. In an attempt to visit the famous Dhulghat Spiral; also known as 'Chaar ka aankhda', i did get to have some great experiences.

I remember going on the spiral by the Ajmer Secunderabad FP and Sec Ajmer express in the good old steam engine days. Thanks for the video. It brings back so many old memories.

Near about the 1:45 mark, what was the reason for the wild shakes ?
And the 650 km poles signify 650 km from where ?
that marking is a mystery in itself, logic tells that the chainage is from Ajmer; a board in pf1 of Mhow confirms the same too, but calculation says a different figure! Anyways, thanks for watching
