Probably the latter. For as serious as Lute acts, she always joins in with Adam's shenanigans, even if subtlely sometimes (like just nodding in agreement when he says women should fuck him instead of anyone else) and not-so-subtlely at other times (constantly fist bumping with him and smiling during "Hell is forever" etc)

Humans are just generally attracted to charisma and confidence, and even if someone is utterly despicable and terrible, if they're *confidently* that, no breaks, we can't help but be charmed by it. At first I was bothered by Adam's appearance, but then realized his form likely changed after becoming an angel.

I mean, we know Lute and Vaggie are wearing masks, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume Adam's wearing one but doesn't take it off
We also see Molly and St Peter, two other former-humans and both look extremely diferent from one another and from Adam (Unless Peter is not human on Hazbin lore) and I've heard some imply Lute is also a former human although I'm not sure

1- Angel Dust, the Porn Demon. A crackhead whore who gladly partakes in territorial genocide for fun.
2- Alastor, the Radio Demon. Serial killer, cannibal, unrepentant, collector of souls and probably committed every single non-sexual crime in existence at least forty times each, that while enjoying it all with a big ass dumb fucking smile on his face.
3- Husker. Used to gamble with the soul of others and revelled in power just like any overlord, only stopping when he lost his own soul.
4- Nifty. Whatever the fuck goes inside her mind, it clearly isn’t good. It’s murderous at best and an eldritch horror at worst.
5- Sir Pentius. Our precious sweet edge lord. That’s why the snake is a fucking angel now, which makes Adam even more correct!
And a reminder, those are the BEST ones.
At the end of the day, sinners are indeed just how Lucifer described them: “our people are horrible people, Charlie”.
Aside from Pentius, Lucifer is quite literally the only good person in Hell who wasn’t born there we’ve seen so far.
He’s killing them not just out of hatred for demons, but out of revenge for Lilith leaving him.

Either way, he goes down to Hell on an annual basis and Vox has probably been broadcasting the pron Angel features in for years.
Another plausible scenario is that powerful overlords cut deals with the exorcists to avoid getting killed, so maybe Vox slipped Adam some Angel Dust porn to save his own skin.
Point is, there's plenty of ways Adam could've found out about Angel because he's publicly known.
