To comment on Kiyohime's original story: The whole, crazy, snake-dragon, and fire things weren't her *originally*. She looks like an ordinary girl because before the Monk showed up, promised to marry her and then lied and ran away, she WAS a perfectly normal girl. It's implied - depending on your source of course - that Kiyohime's household was just an unpleasant place to be for her, for a multitude of possible reasons. So Anchin's marriage proposal wasn't JUST a....you know, *marriage proposal*, it was also a ticket out of a life that Kiyohime wasn't really feeling.
"AOE NP's can't do a lot of damage." Watches as my Kiyohime does 235,000 damage to a single enemy....yeah...sure.... Edit: Make that 308,000. Broke my record.
That's actually a good score for her :) As for why she's waifuable, it's not that she's yandere. For me it's more because of her Yamato Nadeshiko nature (which is also half the reason I like Tamamo and Void Shiki). That sweet Japanese ideal woman on top of being a harbinger of chaos means lots of fun. Also, she's one of the rare yanderes who doesn't mind sharing with others as long as she's not lied to and you're open about whom you're after, she can still compete for number one, and her rivals in love are honest about their own feelings (pretty much established in the first Valentine Event). But as much as she hates having her trust betrayed, she doesn't want to betray your trust either. So that's a good side to her. In fact, she is one of the easiest of all the yanderes in Fate (and there are a LOT of yanderes in Typemoon. Like 2-3 yanderes for every tsundere) to manage--alongside Mashu if you count her as one. Even Sakura Matou is tougher to deal with and she shares positive traits with Kiyo. And good luck dealing with Raikou aggressively trying to be your mother. Also, I like her voice (also the other half reason of why I like Tamamo). As for functionality, yeah, she's insanely good even without Grails. She has THE highest NP Gain of all Berserkers (ABQEX btw gets even more NP than BQAEX, at least in my experience), so she can spam, as seen here; which is not common among non-Arts Berserkers. Also surprisingly durable and goes well in team comps.
John Peacekeeper she’s a comedic relief yandere and the damn best one there is. on top of that, as long as you can manage her being weird and be honest with her she’s very sweet. compared to raikou and serenity, the other stalkers, she’s very simple to deal with

Aria Master of Chaldea Pretty much. Ideal woman is her default state, and she's surprisingly tolerant and not so easy to trigger yandereness unless you flat out lie. You could even tell her to give you space if you're sick of dealing with her (which is better than pretending to like having her around) and she'll just make sure she's more hidden and out of your way rather than go all "if I can't have you no one will" It's just that if you do somehow stupidly trigger her, BOY does she up.
John Peacekeeper Although I have nothing against Kiyo, there’s also all these moments where she just keeps on blurting her out sexual urges anytime she can, to the point where I’m just getting a bit tired of all that, and wish she’s a bit more contributive every time I see her, and this especially the case during the summer event. But she is definitely waifu material depending on someone’s taste and she’s good and all so I guess it’s a good thing she’s around.
I have kiyo and usually I use her as bait so every monster just smacks her. So she is useful in being a punching bag and also she won't come out to get me since she bite the dust :3

I guess the IRL version must have several versions because the one I heard was about Anchin being a friend of the family and always making a visit on his pilgrimages, he says as a joke to Kiyohime that he will marry her when he is coming back, she takes it seriously and waits for him, he finds out about Kiyohime taking him seriously so he avoids the house on his way back, Kiyo goes after him, he runs away, Kiyohime gets so pissed she turns into a dragon, Anchin runs like there's no tomorrow and hides in the bell of a temple, Kiyohime catches up and burns him alive in her mad rage, then commits suicide. Basically it's a cautionary tale about you shouldn't run from your problems because they will grow out of hand to the point of your destruction. Anchin's demise was his constant running from his problem which he himself caused instead of facing and solving it before it grew out of proportion.

As for her personality and design - well, yeah her outfit is cute and damn sexy while not vulgar and somehow modest and although she can be pretty creepy she's actually an yandere-lite and usually she's just pretty and nice. Well, at least that's how it supposed to be - writting such one-passion, obsessed characters is hard. Sometimes they are clearly overdoing it - like it was on the summer event for example. And as for me I just really like how horns change frow white to black with her ascension - I like to think she use nail varnish for that (becouse I have a very odd nerd fetish for stuff like this)

And yeah she is very fun to use i am still planning in maxing her to lvl 90 but since i already have Lancelot, Herc and Cu Alter sometimes they will outshine her. But between Kiyo and Tammy cat i prefer Kiyo in both game utility and design.

Her being berserker class makes her more bad than good though because berserkers not only deal 1.5× the damage but they also take 1.5× the damage She has no skills to prolong her own life so she needs to be baby sat. Via master skills and support. Her np deals decent damage and if you can get the stun overcharge effect from the np than you are pretty much good to go. My rating for kiyo would be about 6.5/10 Skill wise she could use a few tweeks mainly for survivability. Battle animation is just bland needs an upgrade (same with noble Phantasm). I think she could also use an interlude to help us learn more about her past. Anyway that's all

If anything you get her as the second reward Servant for clearing a Singularity which being a three star AoE Berserker is a nice reward. If all else it's hard to hate a Berserker you can just let them wreck shop.
When I first started playing FGO I only used Kiyohime, Emiya and support servant. I never ever used anything else until London or the end of Okeanos, I don't know why either. She was the first servant I max ascended.
Since I am quite fond of Kiyo's skills even though my best complaint is her terrible capability to survive without the correct CE or Mystic codes as her skills just simply puts her into Danger than Fran or Lancelot due to her niche of being the 3-star Raikou when done right
Kiyohime is a great starting Berserker, I used her a lot along with Tamamo Cat before I got Vlad and Herc, still use those two crazy ladies but sparingly

I remember not thinking much about her when I first started this game. Her design didn’t click with me and while I don’t necessarily have anything against yanderes that turned me off about her cause it seemed so boring compared to other servants personality wise. I can kinda give her more credit now that I know more about her, and she’s a bit funny in some of the events she’s in. I’ll get to leveling her someday.
Well, completely honest, she ain't the best Zerker out there, but she is quite a solid unit. Her kit is pretty good, the only problem being lack of any form of survivability other than her Def Up

I agree with you that kiyohime is a lunatic, but the roasted monk got what he deserved in the end. Reap what you sow and what not. In no way am I saying that what she did was justified, such as stalking and burning him alive in a giant bell, but said BBQ Chicken of a seedy monk shouldn’t have lied about something so serious as mirage for a fucking joke to a young, impressionable, child. It didn’t help that Kiyohime wasn’t all that stable in the head considering how she turned out by the end of her story… Then again the story of Kiyohime (from what I can gather from it) is an old Japanese cautionary tall about never making promises you have no intention to keep, an extreme one but a cautionary tall none the less. Most likely it was used to scare the listeners into watching what they say and to deter them from making false promises as well as to never take the words of others, I.e. complete strangers, at face value as children. It’s stories like this that make me wonder what the inspiration behind them was.
Ofc he's not my type..He has zero handsome-ness. In FGO I like him more because of gameplay instead of personality/look. Eric is one of the most reliable servant I have... Talking about his background, he was a Viking King. I started to love anything about Viking ever since I watched Elbaf Arc in One Piece... What a nice story.

Kiyohime is a great starting Berserker, I used her a lot along with Tamamo Cat before I got Vlad and Herc, still use those two crazy ladies but sparingly

Edit: I just got my Kiyohime through her 2nd ascendion because the mat for her 2nd ascension is quite rare to get. Pair her with mash and Jeanne alter and she really dangerous. Also, pls stop calling her a snake waifu. She is a dragon , not a snake :)

I remember not thinking much about her when I first started this game. Her design didn’t click with me and while I don’t necessarily have anything against yanderes that turned me off about her cause it seemed so boring compared to other servants personality wise. I can kinda give her more credit now that I know more about her, and she’s a bit funny in some of the events she’s in. I’ll get to leveling her someday.
Well, completely honest, she ain't the best Zerker out there, but she is quite a solid unit. Her kit is pretty good, the only problem being lack of any form of survivability other than her Def Up
her np gain is so high for a berserker... time to give her some exp cards

To me it doesnt matter how good a servant is gameplay wise if I don't like them, in this case I just don't like Kiyohime her yandere gag isnt likable or interesting to me.

I agree with you that kiyohime is a lunatic, but the roasted monk got what he deserved in the end. Reap what you sow and what not.
In no way am I saying that what she did was justified, such as stalking and burning him alive in a giant bell, but said BBQ Chicken of a seedy monk shouldn’t have lied about something so serious as mirage for a fucking joke to a young, impressionable, child. It didn’t help that Kiyohime wasn’t all that stable in the head considering how she turned out by the end of her story…
Then again the story of Kiyohime (from what I can gather from it) is an old Japanese cautionary tall about never making promises you have no intention to keep, an extreme one but a cautionary tall none the less. Most likely it was used to scare the listeners into watching what they say and to deter them from making false promises as well as to never take the words of others, I.e. complete strangers, at face value as children.
It’s stories like this that make me wonder what the inspiration behind them was.
