At least the client will have to pay for the extra work. Building a timber frame now and not one lintel fits in the cavity. Which means the bricks don’t fit over the top either. Timber Framing is always nightmare. You’d think if one side was shy the other side would be big. But no, the timber frame came up big all round.

Wish I’d a tenner for every brick I’d to cut over angle irons no stiihl saws then just either your scutch hammer or your trowel but I must say I loved bricklaying and it helps when you have a talent for it and luckily people said that I had it , I just thought I was one of the gang and when people go to the bosses and expressly ask for you to build their home is when I used to say it’s nice to get the plaudits but it’s money I need to keep the kids fed not plaudits

@@gargalash9191 I'm sorry you feel this way but repointing projects are extremely profitable if Done correctly. Not Evey mason can do that it's very important and not only that there's more money in it than structural masonry. I'm non union in the states but bid on union work which means I pay my men the prevailing wage which means 55$ for a laborer and up and $70 to 85$ for a pointer so don't say it's shit work because it is not.
