Made my year seeing Ozzy do Paranoid again. Fun fact, as a 16 year old in 1977, I was lead guitarist in a rock band and Paranoid was part of our set. Yesterday at Stratford-on-Avon, my nephew, who is 16 years old and lead guitarist in Split Second, played Paranoid in their live set after seeing Ozzy perform it at the end of the Commonwealth Games. 😎👍
That reminds me of something - one time Ozzy was on the Frank Skinner show, and after they sat down, Frank says, "Y'know, I used to be in a band that did a version of Paranoid..." and Ozzy goes, "Really?? So was I!"

I was in the closing ceremony and wow what a moment we were all on the field as Ozzy appeared every single person was screaming his name it felt unreal , we saw Sharon and Kelly under the stage everyone shouting we love u …. And when ozzy came out to get in the car the whole cast of hundreds chanted ozzy we love you 😍 and ozzy ozzy ozzy it was funny as later on the tv stream you here huge applause and chants Clare balding turns to camera and says and there’s the audience cheering the athletes as the leave …. WRONG i5 was us and the athletes and volunteers all cheering Ozzy ❤️❤️❤️ Bostin ozzy you looked so happy and proud Brum was happy and proud of you

I came to Birmingham for the games from Scotland, and I had the incredible opportunity to see this live, AND IT WAS AMAZING! That was the best part of the closing ceremony for me. The fireworks were stunning as well. We love you Ozzy! BIRMINGHAM FOREVER! ❤️

I’m a Brummie and was so proud of my City and how they hosted such an amazing Commonwealth Games. Ozzy was the icing on the cake, he was brilliant after all he has been through recently. Loved it, true Brummie humour after all the anti PC comments and they finish with Ozzy. Used to play in a youth orchestra and we had a massive Xmas concert in the Town Hall every year. Local politicians banned us from calling it the Christmas Concert and renamed it ‘A Winter Celebration’. The local Indian Sitar group got up on stage and played Jingle Bells, a big two fingers to those council leaders, this was about 1983!

I first seen Black Sabbath in 1975 then afterwards many many times, Always A Big Fan and Follower of Black Sabbath and of course Ozzy and Tony.. Ozzy’s Smile says it all… The stage is his home and he Absolutely Loves his Fans.. What a way to close a show in your own hometown, We Love You Ozzy❤️Forever and Always👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️

He's one of the greatest performers that I've ever seen live and at a show in the 1990's I went to one of his concerts and it was the most spectacular performance from a single person that I've ever seen. His Commonwealth Games performance was pure Ozzy and it was great to see Tony, for the second time, at the games.

Apparently Randy had told Ozzy he wanted to quit the band after the Diary tour,he wanted to go to UCLA and obtain a degree in Classical guitar. They had a scuffle, things got ugly,Sharon and Ozzy threatened him with a lawsuit. Now, just reflect on this...Randy is the kid that helped resurrect Ozzy's career and he lets his girlfriend-Sharon threaten the very collaboration that lifted him up from the ashes and made Ozzy relevant again....wow... Somewhere down the line when things cooled off he struck a deal, a verbal deal with Ozzy.... he would do the live album; one more studio album and then Randy could go... according to Kelly Garni he stated that he heard from the Rhoads family that the same week that Randy passed, Sharon right away, flew to LA and restructured the contract to eliminate Randy from any subsequent royalties from those two albums. I think the Rhoads family took it to court and won.Yeah,she's a piece of work.
