This has been great to watch and see all the skill and effort that goes into it and how tough a mechanics job is MotoGP/ WSBK when the rider has a big off and need to put the bike back together so it's ready to go back on track

Great videos but it would be cool to know in depth of certain installs. For example, at what angle is the gear shift arm installed, 90 degrees to the arm or floor?

Guy's nice to see you torquing the bolts one concern is you shouldn't really lube bolts unless the manufacturer has spec saying you should as you will over torque the bolts by about 10%
That's what I was taught during my apprenticeship. Only add lube if recommended by the fastener manufacturer. Brilliant video though
Also adding lube to bolts that I thought should have had loctite; for example the rear sets.
Macauley is a race engineer, he's not putting bikes together forever, he's pulling them apart weekly. A different mindset.
A lubricant yes but some kind of anti corrosive substance like copper ease, no problem I’d say 👍🏻
@@djg9589 I agree and the difference is that Copaslip issue a table of different types of fasteners and the torque factor to use when using Copaslip (not sure about any other copper based anti seize grease)
Oil filter wired (and he hex nut on the front is not allowed - must be secured with a jubilee clamp and wired if not being restricted by casing)? Sump plug wired? Shark fin not allowing fingers in? Tyres on right way? Top yoke nut secure, no yoke play, damper not being used as a stop? No rubber bungs in the bellypan? Front axle pinch bolts? Catch bottles (non-return on the fuel vent- into a bottle). Engine blow-by (breather) back into air box? No cable restrictions on steering movement? Throttle not restricted one any turn lock? .... I'd still check that chain 👍

Interesting, is it the norm with a chain on a race bike not to grease the master link? If so, is this because it will not be on the bike for that long?
