How many of us learned the basic thanks to steel's video guides?
me! lol his were the best
Still really good to this day, I recently found a few he did for some orgs and they're all about really in depth topics that apply today, all you have to do as a new player is update it a little with the modern meta and version of the game.
ofc
@@iArrivall could you maybe link them? Or say the title name?
@@TeamHahah Here are some links, one to Steel's channel and another to the Predator gaming channel that he and other pros did tutorials for. Worth digging through the archives/playlists of both.

smooya browsing HLTV for igl's in front of his teammate is so funny
i have so much respect for steel and his legacy in CS, dude has been around literally forever
“Irrelevant, no job” thorin strikes again with a banger
My favorite Steel clip is from ESL One Cologne 2020 when he was asked "who is the best team in the world?" and with a shit-eating grin he said "MIBR". (Context: The Chaos EC v.s MIBR controversy took place before this)
That's a good one
Sauce?
"CONNECTOR! CONNECTOR!"
Steel's a cool dude.
I will always appreciate Josh for teaching me how to play CS. His videos were top notch back then. Also, a cerebral IGL.
Steel one of my favorite players ever
Really interesting to hear about his little protocols like SUS and GIB.
Josh is that kind of cs go player who would easily adapt even if he came back now
great to have steel on this show again after all this time
Love Steel and his guide videos
Can't thank you enough for another reflections with this legend. Cheers.
Use of mnemonic phrases for important calls is really interesting. I think broadly speaking people don't appreciate the importance of the kind of mid-round shift in tempo Steel describes, both as spectators and as players. You rarely hear casters call out mid-round misplays that are needlessly aggressive unless they result in disastrous round losses, but that kind of results-oriented viewpoint conditions viewers to ignore a critical component of mid-round play that is vital to closing out rounds and games. And of course you see it even at the very top of CS today, with teams like Faze or Navi finding themselves in very advantageous situations only to collapse all on their own, often against opposition that they're expected to beat. Having such specific phrases to convey complex ideas or concepts in as little time as possible, and having everyone on the same page to execute, is the kind of thing you would expect to see out of major winning teams.
A real shame CS has lost such a bright mind.
Steel was saying Sus before the rest of us
get me on here
Have a career first mate
It is only fair to get his side of the story aswell
@@bansheem5382 im sure he's more than happy to do that on his stream. He's a content creator after all, time to do the thing he's known for!
Nice nest, bro.
I'm open to it but you've made it impossible for me to contact you via twitter
absolute banger guest, always able to express himself very well.
Steel the most underrated IGL in csgo of all time
I remember enjoying watching steel's ghost lineup upset top tier teams. His strategies were ahead of the time and he was able to take average or slightly above average players to a very high level of CS
I've always enjoyed listening to steel
Hooooly shit, thank you so much Thorin. Steel is a legend. You are esports!
thank you steel for teaching me csgo
im glad he clearified the fact that he loves brazil
The man who beat Bogdan
HUGE RESPECT TO RUSH
"By the way I love Brazil" lmao ahahhahaha definitely unrelated
steel on an academy team would be infinite talent for whatever org he'd be on
I miss steel.
Timestamps lets goooo
does he mention Dazed in this at all? what happened to that guy?
There was nothing to discuss about Dazed. This timeline started mid 2017 when Dazed realized he didn't want to put in the work for GX so Steel took over. They never played together again
Best US igl shame about the ban.
Steel
NA CSGO's scene would be so different over the years if Dazed/Steel had not gotten banned. NA might of actually of won more than 1 Major.
Dude, perhaps people would be asking, "When will South America, or the CIS ever win a major?"
With Team Liquid NA got so close with different rosters, same with C9 even before they won Boston. Now imagine these squads, but some more with minds like DaZeD and steel IGLing them to top placings across events.
I have no clue if the 2016 and 2017 seasons would've happened the way they did.
2 steels played with smooya, hmm
BatChest
steel got unfairly shafted by valve. he could have been a lot more accomplished and well known by now. these younger years matter a lot in esports. valves ruling was unfair

This shit makes me sick steel deserves to be unbanned. Did his time.
Steel comeback to CSGO... the domestic scene needs you.. EU is miles ahead of NA when it comes to sport, and its even trickling into NA eSports. You look at CSGO in EU and so many of teams have academy teams playing in online domestic leagues, look at NA and outside of EG, there is no org putting back into the domestic scene. NA needs teams competing in the online domestic competitions as they are essential to the future of the region! Think back to that NCG team that was on the other side of that online domestic CEVO match that iBP threw? Major winner Tarik. Cutler, Hazed and JDM also.... even TL owes it to NA, when they can compete in said domestic competitions they should. As it only makes the scene better. Just like when Bayern Munich trots up to win the league in Germany, and then off to the UCL they go.
First 🙂
And people wonder why TSM Valorant has been so bad. Hazed was the only salvageable piece. Subroza and Wardell aren't that good enough to have personality issues
Anyone else wish hs asked if he thoight flusha or others were cheating lplolol
Alright I'm from Phoenix and we ain't hitting 150. 135 tops
He said 115, not 150
I feel bad for him that he's irrelevant in Valorant now.
Steel? More like steal... the career of Braxton "swag" Pierce.
I will drink every time this sociopath blames everything on others. RIP my liver.
why are you acting like swag was some autistic 12 year old who couldn't make up his own mind when the throw happened
@@___UN because he was carbon dated to be under 18 solar cycles :>
Gross. Swag was just as responsible as the others.
Great opinion mr L
Swag wasn't forced at gunpoint to throw that match, he chose to just like the others
Welcomed surprise
