    I absolutely love 89’s look! I hope they keep it, and maybe even for other engines, possibly add the CN “wafer” style logo.

    Whose whistle does #89 have right now? It sounds like either 1223's or 7002's whistle, but they are both at the RR museum of PA.

      Based on chatter on the SRR facebook group, it's a Crosby 3 Chime, which used to belong to 7312.

      They sure do like to switch whistles on her for some strange reason.

      @@EasternRailfanProductions if the whistle came from 7312 then its an Ashton 3 Chime because thats what 7312 wore

    Sounds like a 3 chime whistle mix of Valley RR 40 and LIRR 39.

    8:17 did Strasburg let them borrow that?

    • @EasternRailfanProductions
      @EasternRailfanProductions  4 года назад +2

      The Francis L Suter car is privately owned but usually remains stored at Strasburg. At times, the owner will bring the car out for private trips on Amtrak, and occasionally on SRC’s own excursions.

      @@EasternRailfanProductions ahh. I've seen Strasburg use it a few times and from the footage I've seen them use it. It was close to new years. Plus 90 used it in 2013 when she was reverted back to her 50s look/appearance.

    Guys, not so long ago all 3 steam engines did a triple header with a freight train. Do you have footage of that coming up soon?

    Would be awesome if R&N 425, BR&W 60 and NH&I 40 can visit the Strasburg Railroad for a big steam extravaganza event! N&W 611 can come back for a second time to Strasburg too!

    I didn’t know that 89 had her. 1,472 day inspection

  • @angeltherockstar6461
    @angeltherockstar6461 7 лет назад +3

    Why did Strasburg 89 out of service?

    • @EasternRailfanProductions
      @EasternRailfanProductions  7 лет назад +3

      After 1,472 days of operation, or once every 15 years (whichever comes first), a steam locomotive needs to be completely torn apart and have all parts inspected/replaced as needed. 89 went down about 2 years ago for her 1472 inspection, and just recently returned to regular service this weekend.
