I absolutely adore the Royal family, being an ex squaddie myself I'm very proud to have called the Queen my boss. I would personally find it extremely hard to pin point which royal is the best and I would not like to as they are all fantastic in their own way! 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 ✌️

Prince Harry may be the only royal prince in the world, that has taken part to do his bit for queen and country. It's has been a long time since a royal person was fighting shoulder to shoulder with his people.
TsarCASM you forget Prince Andrew flew helicopters in the Falklands war rescuing wounded soldiers also their Father served in the Royal Navy his brother was an Air Sea Rescue helicopter pilot in the RAF his grandparents also served in the forces during ww2
Queen Elizabeth served in the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service during WW2, and drive military supply and medical trucks.
Prince William was a RAF search and rescue pilot
well King Abdullah II of Jordan served as an officer prior to his ascension. He still trains with his men too.

One has to admit that many countries with a Monarchy as head of state do not indulge in getting involved in wars.

I think Prince Harry is less of a prince and more of a soldier. Just my opinion.
The monarchy tends to have people who served. In times of old they were warriors so you could argue he is old school.

That's normal behavior for any soldier tbh. When they've been at the war front for weeks and months, first thing they want to do when they come home is party and sex haha.
Drugs drink. Would you want to rely on him in Afghanistan.

Actually there are lots of prince who are serving in their nations military. Recently one of the prince from Royal family of Dubai got martyred in Yemen war and even current CM of Punjab Armindar Singh who is a prince served in Indian army and fought in 1971 war.
Served alongside HRH on op Herrick 16. Good lad and well respected by the troops.

Had a bit of a strange hand William and Harry. Yes they were born into privilege but with that comes media attention about everything they do. Then their mother was killed when they were barely teenagers and the media attention on the those two went into overdrive. They've both served in the armed forces though and then done other things outside the military. Lots of diplomatic tours and such. I don't mind the royals, Britain wouldn't be the same without them, we'd just have someone like Theresa May as head of state instead, give me the Queen any day if that's the case.
Total respect for the young man. I would have followed him into battle if the opportunity ever arose. However, his life as he knows it before 19 May 2018 will never be the same again. Wishing him all the best regardless.

Harry is a great guy. As a royal and as ordinary individual. Even with all that's going on with him at the moment he's a decent guy. Probably the most down to earth royal.
@R Harry’s uncle Charles Spencer (Diana’s brother) and her sister are both red heads. It runs on her side of the family. Harry is not James Hewitt son. Some of Prince Phillips photos when he was younger he looks like Harry. Prince Edward’s son James looks like him too. Obvious facts that he’s a Mountbatten.
Harry just wanted to be one of the Lads with his Fellow Army Buddies...and to them.. this is Exactly who he is and was...a Soldier first...a ROYAL Second!!

I'm not a royal fanboy, but I really do have to say that Harry (and Meghan too I guess) seems really down to earth, wanting to be lumped in with the common man. He seems really friendly. I mean, sure he had a couple of bad media tabloid events, but he seems to have really matured out of that.
I'm not the sort of person to say stuff like this, but I reckon it would be pretty cool to meet him in person and have a conversation. He seems to be a genuinely cool, friendly, down-to-earth fella!

When he was deployed. He had a Gurka unit close and a Special Forces team on the outskirts. There was no chance of any harm coming to the young prince and none happened. Fair play though at least he went forward. "Respect"

I'm not British and infact as a Turk we don't have a great history with British, (Today is 18th of March! Coincidence.) but Prince Harry literally like.. I don't know, Turkish people have a soft spot for both Princess Diana and Prince Harry. As someone planning to follow a military carreer path seeing him being an actual soldier and not a "symbolic" one like many Royal members are in many Royal families around the world and in history makes me love him more. I'd really love to see him as the King but I'm also sure that he wouldn't like that. Salute to you, People's Prince!

This is one of the things I respect the most about the British royals, that they still deploy to war zones alongside their people. I'd love to see the kids of America's leaders taking the same risks the rest of us take, but I don't think that will happen.

Can somebody please explain to me how in his short 10-year career he went from a tank commander to an Apache helicopter pilot if he were not part of the royal family this would have never happened and there are reports that he didn't even qualify to be a helicopter pilot
Idk too much about the British Army system but,
In the US Army you can easily change your job. Being a Tank Commander isn’t a job it’s just a position within the job you can literally earn it in 2 years and lose it at any moment due to circumstances. 19K is the enlisted MOS and 19A is the officer MOS I believe, those are the requirements to become an “Tanker”. Secondly to become an Helicopter Pilot you have to become an Officer or Chief Warrant Officer you have to go through a course to become one. Every Warrant Officer was once Enlisted. Officers either come in Officer or were once Enlisted turned Officer. Long story short, if you work hard and stay focused you could join as a 19K (Tanker) then switch to Warrant and become an Pilot in like 5-8 years. You have to sign a long contract when you become an Pilot though.
