I think more than the other mods you've showcased, this one feels the most like vanilla out of all of them. The art and mechanics feel more in the scope of the original game, which is nice to see. I think sometimes mods can go overboard and you end up with a product that is incredibly different from the original game. There's nothing wrong with that, and I do enjoy it in some cases, but sometimes you want a mod that's just more of the same, without as many new wacky mechanics.
that's what I came here to say. mod rebalances in a really positive way, that fits so well in with the vanilla jokers. art looks great
@@robinfreeman1810 I think the closer-to-vanilla mods and the crazy mods both being an option is great. The two biggest Terraria mods are Calamity and Thorium. The former goes way out of the scope of the base game, but Thorium feels like "more game." Neither is better than the other, it's just cool that you have options.

I mean... wee joker, half joker, golden ticket, weird shapes aren't entirely unjustified at least.
For those who want to know what 3776 represents...
it's the height of the highest mountain in Japan, Mt.Fuji (3,776m)
And the reason it looks like a blob is because there's a j-idol band themed after Fuji with an album with that blob shape (Saijiki)
And the color scheme and overall design makes it look like a hanafuda or kabufuda card, those being the Japanese playing card decks used for games like koi-koi and oicho kabu respectively.
The other mods were fun but you can really tell the amount of time and effort went into this one so many cool ides for jokers and art that doesn’t make your eyes bleed
lots of these are anime references, the dream being a cardcaptor sakura reference, the tiger bikini an urusei yatsura reference and more

The mod jokers aren't insanely broken, but they are way better than normal jokers. Bell curve is way better than an unmodded common, and "The Dream" crazily better than almost all rares in the game.
Missed the opportunity to celestial then fool at the end for that sweet x1.5 after all that other mult adds up. Cool showcase of the mod though!

people hate ai art a little too much imo like it can be used as a utility sure if you’re a broke kid who’s using a free AI model, it just shouldn’t be glorified as art to the same degree actual art is. but I think for placeholder stuff it’s fine.

I dont get why they used ai are. There are literally hundreds of thousands of non-ai pictures that they could have used. In my eyes it was just a bit lazy because it is harder to search for images that fit
The dream should probably be a chance based card, 1 in 2 or 3
But then it’s just a slightly better space joker and requires you to have access to a secret hand type. The joker itself is rare too, so overall skootle just got lucky with this run.
nah, it's balanced, realistically it wouldn't carry you, it was only good this run because of the brainstorms, it's also rare enough to the point where you don't just steamroll the early game with it every run (also you need fulsh 5, 5 of a kind or flush house for it to work)

Insane fumble by selling the flash card. If he had put it to the left of the brainstorms, the run could’ve gone longer. He even had the opportunity to make a small recovery by buying the 3776 joker for a flat 30 mult that would’ve been multiplied by the trick or treat and brainstorms
It's insane how upset you are. Definitely not the way to describe someone trying to check out new jokers going one or two round fewer in a match.

@@KillerBacon Except Trick or Treat getting tripled gives you a score 3 orders of magnitude higher. Flat mult falls off extremely hard late game - with a base mult of 150 on 5-of-a-kind, and flash adding ~100, flash-brainstorm-brainstorm-trick or treat is a total of 450*20 = 9000, where tripling up trick or treat is 150*20*20*20 = 1200000. Selling flash card was the right play, and his only mistake was not selling it sooner - if he had Cavendish he would've made it through the last blind easily.
@@HU5KI3 No, I didn’t mean that he should’ve had brainstorm copy the flashcard, he just should’ve put them to the left of the brainstorms after the trick or treat. Then the trick or treat would’ve gone off(20x mult), the polychrome flashcard would go off(+100 mult, then x1.5 mult) and then the two brainstorms go off. (X20 mult, x20mult). So if his base mult is 150, it would go like this: 150*20= 3,000. 3,000+100=3,100. 3,100*1.5=4,650. 4,650*20=93,000. 93,000*20=1,860,000. If he doesn’t have flashcard in this scenario, it looks like this: 150*20=3,000. 3,000*20=60,000. 60,000*20=1,200,000. See how much worse that is? By selling flashcard he misses out on 660,000 mult
@@KillerBacon This is only true because flashcard was polychrome, with the 1.5x mult being in your case 15 times better than it's own flat mult. Point stands that it's worse than Cavendish, and 3776 wasn't even polychrome so it's bonus would've been negligible.

Tbf it’s generally hard to make use out of since you need to find the specific planet in the shop (or in a planet pack and then use fool), and then it also uses a consumable slot. And 1.5x mult isn’t that amazing by then either
Not sure how people tried to justify using ai art because its in a free mod, the mod maker would have had to pay an artist or smth if they didnt use ai.
So someone should be forced to pay in order to make a free mod for the community?

@@aaronp9344 i can only speak for myself, but i would for damn sure prefer 1000x times to see a simple doodle in paint made by the mod creator than some atrocity created by ripping off the work of unwilling artists. also a LOT of modding communities have artists that offer to do assets for free here and there because they love the project, which is entirely different. i've done many sprites for pokémon infinite fusion and i would happily design a joker sprite for a mod that didn't use a tool that is actively stealing from me and my peers 😅

@fizito_ and you are free to use mods that dont use ai art. That doesnt give ppl the right to talk shit about mod creators because they use a resource available to them to make their process easier when all they want to do is give people a fun addition to the game.

It's impossible to say "Hit the road" without immediately following with Jack, and if you're me, even harder not to continue "and don't you come back no more"

7:54 cherry sounds really bad, it basically had limit on its scale which is never on any joker before, it can only go to 24+mult which is worse than spare trouser and the fact that it require you to discard an uncommon hand is bad, i know that it's food joker but i think it should've be xmult joker, and change the destroyed requirement because it's completelly avoidable for a food joker

Pair isn’t an uncommon hand. It’s the second most common hand in the game lol the majority of first hands contain a pair

Wouldn’t this only happen if all the tarots in the pack required you to pick a card to use it on before using it? I don’t see how this would happen if there was an Emperor tarot or similar in the pack.

Trick or treat too op, one side we have joker that scale too slow where it only add 0.3xmult every 3 requirement, and in the other side there is joker that just "fuck it, gain 1xmult everytime spectral card used"
