As one of the 8000 in the crowd, I can tell you that the love, respect, and admiration went both ways that night. She gave us something special. We helped her sing it home. One of the most memorable live music moments I have ever been a part of. No worries, we were all in tears too.
I envy you, I wish I had been there! Simply a beautiful song written and sang by a beautiful human!
It was in their record contract that she would never play this live. It was a spur of the moment decision. Absolutely beautiful. ❤
@@SBRemotes I know that the story of it being spur of the moment has been getting traction, but I am quite sure it was planned in advance. A number of us outside the Pepsi Center could hear her rehearsing BREATHE during soundcheck that afternoon, and the printed setlist for the show listed "BLACK HOLES/B" before Enter Sandman. I do expect that if Pau had wanted to pull the plug and not perform BREATHE, that she could have done that.
@@oldmanyeni1663 Maybe by "spur of the moment decision" they mean the decision was made at the last minute of planning the show -- perhaps because of how quickly the tickets sold out. Just a guess.
The one and only time she’s performed Breathe live. Honestly, I hope she never does it again, this was perfect.
If it takes that much out of her, then yeah… once is more than enough. Brave lady.
An amazing moment in time that can't be recreated... So glad we have this video!!!
I was there too. when the stage hands didn't roll the piano away after Black holes, we all thought What's going on? OMG PAU IS SINGING BREATHE!!
When 8000 fans start finishing the song for her and start chanting PAULINA, PAULINA it hits me hard. True love between the artist and the fans. So rare today.
I don’t think it’s rare today, but I agree it was a beautiful moment
This is the gist of what Pau says in Spanish: she said that she would never perform this song live because it is deeply personal but because there are 8,000 people who have come to the concert she has decided to perform it. But she is ill and her voice is not so good. Then when the audience starts to sing along with her she says - no, I need to sing this. She was losing it by the end of the sng but the audience knew it and covered the final vocal for her.
Thank you, I absolutely love that...humanity at its best.
@@AfterDarkBoysshe and her sisters are absolutely amazing human beings! I’m so very proud of them and proud to be a fan of theirs!
That night when the DRUMMER outplayed most of the pop industry in Mexico, with only 2 songs.
When The Warning perform, they give everything they've got. I've seen them play festivals where Dany, Ale and Pau got heat exhaustion and Pau had to be carried off the stage at the end of the set. They never phone it in. They are astounding performers.
Seriously? When did that happen? They carried Pau out because of heat exhaustion. I didn't know that. If you know when it was or if there's a video, could you tell me?

She said that the song is very personal to her and she was never going to sing it live but seeing 8000 people show up to see them made her want to do it for them, even though her voice was not good because she was a little ill.
It's interesting, because they've certainly played before larger audiences... but as a supporting act, or part of a festival. But this was *special* , in that it was one of their 10th anniversary shows, and everyone there was specifically there for _them_ . Not to see Muse, or GnR, or whomever... but to see these ladies exclusively. It makes a definite difference, for sure.
Now, it's time for Dany solo - When I'm alone at Pepsi Center.
"I'm not crying, you're crying!" hehe everyone does, no worries...
Lots of onions being cut all over the place.
Paulina is a gift. One of a kind. And my eyes are leaking again.
Sweet baby Jesus why do I keep watching this. Tears every time bro. You still have her cover of Radiohead's 'Creep' to get past...
Pau doing *Creep* is better than the original or any other version, IMHO. The only words to describe this woman are EMOTIVE EMPATH. She gets inside a character and shows him/her to us from that person's point of view, in the most raw and honest way. This one must have been HER.
This moment is going to go down as one that is remembered and replayed for years to come.
She got you. Don't worry...she gets ALL of us.
Pau has said that this song is a panic attack set to music. She is so damned talented.
The warning is a súper Band in live These ladies are awesome
They are the most sincere band I can think of -- they hold nothing back and mean every word, every note
There's no "tough guy" when it comes to Pau, she either makes you smile or makes you cry.
I'm a 57 yrs old male and I've seen this performance (in different ways) like 50 times and every single time the waterworks activate.
you should check out next ""When I'm Alone" from this same concert. You'll see more of the love these ladies give and the love they get from the 8000 hearts watching them.
I lost count of how many times I've seen this and now my eyes start leaking before I hit play
And remember she is the drummer of this amazing rock band. How many rock drummers do you know can pull off a performance like this. She and her sisters are simply amazing. To be so talented at such a young age just amazes me. Absolutely love these three sisters .🎸🤘🏻⚡️
and all because of dad uploading a video before going on vacation..
Tears. Every. Time.
Paulina brings the emotion. It may be anger like 'Narcisista', or it may be sorrow like this one, but she brings it.
That’s our 2023 Rock drummer of the year up there …She is in running for that award again .🤘..she can do it all .
Proud to be a fan, proud of these ladies!! ❤
In the last month, my wife and I have endured the deaths of a sibling and a child. Black Holes and Breathe have been cathartic for me. There has never been an artist like Pau in my many decades.
Sorry for your loss. ❤
@@rexwave4624 my condolences to you and your family.
She was so sick they were considering cancelling the show. And she was singing in Mexico City at over 7,300 feet above sea level. Her sisters were not at 100% at this concert either. And they did not mail it in!!! They gave a performance for the ages...
She tries so hard to pull it back together but she couldnt hold it back. Obviously the song is so emotional to her plus the crowd overwhelming her .
It gets me every time too man … you're not alone in those feels!
When people commented about going down The Warning rabbit hole - I bet you never expected it to be this deep?
You just gotta react to Dani's acoustic solo from this same show now - "When I'm Alone" - another classic.
Thanks yet again for another sincere reaction to these wonderful people and artists.
I certainly didn't expect the raw emotion that song evokes.
@@AfterDarkBoysturn on the close captions if you decide to react to “im alone”
@@wilarluis9363 Good call - you'll get the translation of her mid-way "chat" 😉👍🏼
Paulina has the ability to just rip your heart from your chest. And within 60 seconds have you headbanging again. As she did here. Within 60 seconds she pulled herself together and ripped one of the best versions of Enter Sandman you will ever hear. I really hope Dany and Ale and Mom were there to give her love and hugs after that.
I told you to bring tissues! 🤣 Jokes aside, wonderful reaction, I always cry watching this. ❤⚡Edit: Welcome to the "Pau Made Me Cry" club as well!
You were right, it really got me.
@@AfterDarkBoys Pau has made all of us cry at one time or another. One of the many things we love about them. Welcome to The Warning Army. You've earned your stripes.
Everybody seems to be cutting onions when this song is played.
As altanon said, watch it again with the English translation turbed on. Understanding her intro is very important.
Now you're beginning to understand why The Warning Army loves this band so much.
Here's what Pau said in her Instagram post about this:
"nothing more humbling than crying in front of 8,000 people- thank you for singing with me through the tears 🫶🏼🥹"
Long live DPA, The Warning Army will always support, music is life and they are music at its hard hitting soul.
Pau is a treasure. Unbelievable talent! 🤟🏼🎹🎤🤟🏼
good reaction AMIGO ..THE WARNING ARMY THANKS...
It has been mentioned in other comments from other reactors: Their record label wanted one more song to be added to their album "ERROR" and asked Pau for her song (Breathe) she agreed with the stipulation that she will not be forced to sing this song live, it was added to their album "ERROR" as a bonus track. I believe at their concert at Teatro Metro a recording of Breathe was played during a break. Now at Pepsi Center with 8,000 in attendance Pau felt compelled to sing Breathe live as a gesture of gratitude for the love and support of the fans. Don't think she''ll do it again based on her reaction!
Yes, the recording was played during the intermission at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert.
You haven't watched the full teatro show?
@@tobimobiv1 Three cool things about the full concert video:
The pre-concert preparations.
The comments between songs.
The "curtain" calls at the end (without the curtains, of course), including Ale comforting Pau, who clearly was in some distress. It just broke my heart to see that.
One helluva bonus, lava/republic are so lucky to get these ladies
@@MarkBtvd I can watch it again and again, like it's the "Back to the future" trilogy 🙂
What a special moment. That crowd support was next level. What a gem.
Pau has this uncanny ability to present us with a character from that character's point of view, and make us feel what that character is feeling. She is empathic, and emotive. I don't think I've ever seen a performer do it better.
Your CC button would've translated what she said prior to her performance. Great review. This one still gets to me, despite how many times I've seen it!
👍 ✌ THANK YOU
I had a feeling this would get to you. One thing about these sisters is…they bring the feels.
This was a late addition to their 2022 ERROR album. They needed a final song for the end of the album and Paulina had this one in her back pocket. She recorded and produced it herself at her childhood home on her parents slightly out of tune piano and said she'd never perform it live because it was too personal and emotional. This concert is the only time she's ever performed it, and I'd guess it will be the only time for a long while. I adore The Warning's heavy music but the lyrics in this song just hit different. It's up there with '23' and 'Martirio' as my favourite.
I envy you discovering them for the first time. There’s just so many great songs still to go…
Right? You can only discover them once. For me it was last October I watched the OMV for "More". Then I watched more.... And more. They hooked me that day. I have never in my 57 years been this jazzed up about a band.
Such a special gift to ALL of us!!!!!
Pau can reach into your heart and grab it and not let go. Many of us frequently chop onions when she sings. This is a great example of one of the reasons TWA is so loyal. These young ladies have allowed us into their lives and their hearts over the years, and they documented it so you can still have that experience even if you're new. They've treated us as family and friends and most of us feel the same, They're not just a fantastic band, they're three individuals that we love and care about. That family bond has spread to TWA and now each of us have friendships all over the world. Welcome to that family. You just need to go to a live show to cement the experience, By the way, Pau isn't the only one that will have you chopping onions, Ms Dany does it also.
53 year old "tough guy" metal head her aswell, seen this probably 50 times now and it still gets me everytime. This is what music is all about. Since you're into the tear jerkers, next need to be "When I'm alone" with Dany on acoustic from the same concert, turn on English subs for that one.

EVERY... SINGLE ... TIME...
yes,,,,
And all three of them were fighting the flu that night. Just an incredible group of sweet people.
I waited for you to do this reaction of both breathe and black holes to just say these songs just touched me they are magical.
Her introduction to the song really intensifies the meaning, and the fact the she was still recovering from the flu, it all hit like a perfect storm. I’ll support these ladies to the end. I wasn’t there this time, but I’m planning my trip to Mexico next February already to see them. They just win your hearts with the kind of people they are.
This song always brings the tears, no matter how many times I hear it!
Aparently The Warning have already sold out a concert they will perform next year in Mexico city on the largest venue there that takes 20 thousand people. It drawfs this Pepsi Center concert in number of capacity.
Ok, so in order to round out the tear jerkers. Dany performs one of her first songs "when im alone" @ Pepsi center. Its th perfect lift in pure Dany style.
The Villereal sisters as The Warning is a once generational phenomenon. It is rare to experience such a life changing time created by 3 simple girls who play music. We are indeed very lucky to be in on it now!
This was just beautiful sad truly breathtaking beautiful . . .
Pau + piano = 😭 Dany has the powerful voice, but in my opinion Pau is the emotional heart of the band. Her raw and haunting vocals get me every time, I just want to give her a big hug at the end of this video❤
.....😢 that one gets us all.
She said that she’s always said that she would never perform this song live because it’s so personal to her. She says it’s incredible that there are 8,000 people gathered there who love them. She says that she’s a little sick so her voice isn’t doing so well, but she wanted to sing this song to them.
Pau: "The following song, which I said I would never play live, because it's very personal. But, seeing all of you gathered here, it's incredible to think that there are now 8000 people here who are listening to us. And, honestly, my voice is half sick. It's not great. But I want to sing this song for you." Starts singing and the crown sings along. Pau: "No. I need to sing this song!"
Anyone that was at this show got to see something they will never forget and never see anything like it again. This performance is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in all my life of watching bands perform and from an old rocker like me that is something. The Warning is truly amazing. ⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🤘🤘
It hits you harder the more you get to know Pau. Seeing her grow up, thousands of us see Pau as a family member, like a little niece. This performance... hurts deep.
If a person doesn't tear up watching this, they have no soul...beautiful
I am a 68 year old male and Pau's heartfelt emotion filled singing brings me to tears every time I watch this. I pray my daughters and their children never feel this despair and only love in their lives.
Told you...
Proud Uncle.
DEF A TEAR JERKER ! WE LUV YA PAU !!!
She wrote this about a friend who died...said she'd never do it live.
Your reaction pretty much captures how so many of us feel about this performance and this band
For When i'm alone, please turn on subtitles. That she also speaks to the audience and is important. It's half of the song's emotional value.
Very personal. These ladies are three incredibly special human beings.
Cristal clear emotions 😢
One doesn’t become a TW reactor until a tear is shed. Welcome! 🤘🏼❤️🔥🤘🏼🇺🇸🇵🇷
Thank you so much BD for praising Pau and TW. They deserve all the recognition. Breath is such a special composition. No matter how big or small we may appear this song hits hard.
we all have lost somebody in our lives, we know the pain Pau was going through. there is nothing wrong to wanting to feel alright. remember grieving is a sign that you loved
Great heart felt reaction. You're not alone, heck, someone was cutting onions while watching your reaction (not ashamed). Keep Rockin' TWA friend 🤘⚡🤘
Pau said that she was never going to do this song live as it was very personal to her but seeing 8000 people there for them she decided to sing it. She also said that she was a bit sick and her voice was not the best. As you said it was awesome. If you were not a The Warning fan before this song would have made you one! Absolutely love this band. ❤️⚡️🔥
Definitely check out there cover of Atlas Rising
Paulina es tan excelente interprete que te mueve el sentimiento ,Paulina una gran maestra de la música ,es un verdadero genio
Even though this is a very single and special Pau song, I like that we never forget about Dany and Ale since we always mention that this band is very pure. They can have their moments but they all are very special. Funny how it feels like we’re talking about our own family.
Not many reactors know what to do with that one, so don't feel alone. Great job.
Pau is a Global Treasure 💎 and we can't help loving her (and her sisters!)
I LOVE THIS BAND
🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥
✌️💖🎼🎶
Pau bares her soul like few performers ever dare. I remember when I first saw Johnny Cash's version of NIN's "Hurt" - he, a man near the end of his legendary life and career, did that - soul in pain, for all the world to see. Here, this absolutely amazing young woman does the same.
Paulina "The Powerful"... (Pau-ER)!!!
She can do it All...drums, lead and backing vocals, piano, and also songwriter for the band.
Plus, In 2024, she debuted as artistic director by creating and directing the official video for the song "Qué Más Quieres".
No wonder, that she stoles so many hearts and souls... I know that, because she stole mine...
This song ALWAYS gets me... She wrote “Breathe” at the age of 13, after her best friend (family friend) past away.
⚡Viva Paulina⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
Thanks BD...this is a very important song for Pau, we long time fans know exactly what she is going through...the subtitles were not turned on (wish someone told you) as what she says in Spanish at the beginning is a big part of the song. Here is what she said: Well, this next song, I said I was never going to play it live because it's a very personal song, but seeing you all gathered here, it's incredible to think that there are 8000 people here right now who came to see us, and honestly I'm so sick, my voice it's not great today, but I want to sing this song for you.
Gr8 reaction big guy, I always have the close captions turned on because what they say in between really adds context. I’ve watched a lot of live bands and have a massive collection of live concerts and festivals from The 70s to today but these 3 girls have a connection, not only to the audience there live but also to the audience watching the video 5yrs later.
Pau has ADHD and once said this song is a panic attack set to music.
I have yet to get thru this unscathed.
Of course, it would have been clever to turn on the subtitles so that you understand what she says.
She has never played this song live and never intended to, because the song is so personal. But since there were now 8000 people and at the same time 10 years of band jubileum and the people showed their love so great, she spontaneously decided to sing this song.
Normally, the piano would have been rolled away after Black Holes and Enter Sandman would have been played. So she shoved Breathe in.
The song is a bonus track on the album Error. At the time, Pau made it a condition that he never had to play it live. Up to this point, this song was only played as a recording: in concerts during the half-time break, when the girls change clothes and rest for a short time.
This performance is legendary, because I don't think she will play the song live again. And honestly, I hope not. No one wants to see Pau suffer. This was great, and that's enough.
The Warning write songs which we can all relate to. Dany is a top tier front woman but Pau's voice goes right to your soul.
Queens of Rock. Told ya. Im sure your reactions will be great, waiting on your next one.
What a great heartfelt reaction. You get it. You understand. How is it possible that these young ladies can talk to our hearts? Amazing. You have one more of these touching songs to react to. Check out When I'm Alone, from the same concert. This time Dany is going to reach into your soul. Make sure you turn on the subtitels.
A lot went into this song. Pau's own struggles with perfectionism, expectations and being in the spotlight at such a young age. There was also the death of a school friend that I suspect also played a role. Unlike Black Holes, this song was based on Pau's real life experiences. Simply brilliant.
The friend death was a Dany story, not a Pau.
Now do “When I’’m Alone”
Most people “join THE WARNING ARMY” after the first time they hear them…and they decide to go down the rabbit hole
But you’re not REALLY ‘in’ THE WARNING ARMY until Pau makes you cry. It’s at THAT point that you truly “get it”…
Now it’s Dany’s turn--WHEN I’M ALONE from this same show…
Great reaction. Thanks again
REACCIÓNA HA 23 TAMBIÉN la canta paulina 😎🤘
I really never thought she'd sing this Live. What a wonderful surprise. Now I'm a big ole crybaby. Call me a "Whambulance"😢🚑😢🚑😢🚑...🌎✌️
This is Pau. ❤️
The requester should have told you to turn on the subtitles. Too bad he forgot.
You should turn on the auto-translate closed captions (unless you speak Spanish!)
We like to say that your favorite TW song is the one you just heard. Maybe someday she'll tell us the backstory on this song, because it goes back to some sort of trauma she experienced. It breaks my heart ever single time I hear it.
