First of all do you know how many lives you just saved by this .. last night i prayed to find a way to turn on the phone less than 9 hours later i found the video that saved my day... that's an automatic subscribe and like were i come from,,,,,, Can't believe i didn't know of this before thanks man.
simultaneously press volume button up & down. The plug in USB. Update. Reboot. Works like charm! Thanks a lot.

A funny fact; I don't even have the volume buttons XD So I had to press the two volume buttons with two pens on my right hand and then put the charger with my left hand XD AND IT WORKED! Thank you so much for this video~

i was about to go to the repair shop but i saw your video..
it was worth liking it.. you saved my phone and you saved my money..
I was trying to get my mum's phone to reboot as it ran out of battery with the power button broken, but before hand I was trying to reboot is through adb, unfortunately it didn't have usb debuggin on which meant it wouldn't take any instructions through adb. When I followed the instructions here, it put it in fastboot mode as it turns out it was a adb and fastboot program that I had and allI had to do was type in "fastboot restart" and voila! it restarted, thanks mang :D

More people need to learn how to turn their phones off without using the power button. This will reduce the possibility of your power button from going bad to begin with because you'll be using the power button less.
Worked on my Moto X (no home button) -- just press both vol up and vol down when plugging into USB power and it rebooted. Thanks.

Which button did you pressed ? power button or that volume One ?
Just tried it on my brothers Xiaomi Redmi 4X however the button did have the clicking sound end feel but didn't work. This method worked but the menu is in Chinese. Follow the instructions in the video and you'll be greeted by the Chinese menu with a some buttons and a blue bar on the bottom. Over the blue button there will be two buttons, click the right one and the menu will change to English and choose "download". The phone will then reboot.
