Look at his high school, college, and even his Cardinals highlights and they all look the same as his Cowboys. It's his vision, patience, and burst more than a line made up of mostly Landry era backups. The LT was a DT under Landry. One day people will hopefully actually realize it was him more than them but as long as people refuse to watch what he did before and after those 4-5 years of his 15 year NFL career, they will never grasp that fact.

This is the 6 FG game. 90's Cowboys owned the Packers, similar to their 49ers matchups. Likely because Dallas was built to beat the 49ers and the Packers were a Central division version.
Erik Williams should be in the Hall of Fame he is the best Right Tackle to ever play the game the only player who could block and dominate Reggie White one on one he and Larry Allen combined to be the greatest right side of the Oline of all times period!!!
Was you watching the same game I just watched? Reggie White was dominating them 2 players as he always did. Any time you have to put a 2nd player on your offensive line to block one player that is not doing better than Reggie White in any shape of the form. Then the multiple holds as always the cowboys were never called for many of those back then when they were America's favorite team as they called it. It's the main reason I absolutely hated the cowboys back then and still do. Reggie White at times blew through both of them to get the sack in this game. At least be honest with Whites performance. He was not having problems with them he never did. Look at it like this, that high powered offense the cowboys had back then were held to only field goals all game the reason they won is because the offense wasn't doing their part to help the defense. If the defense is always on the field they get tired and this defensive didn't tire out. Yeah Reggie White slipped a few times but how many times did that turf tackle emmitt smith without any player touching him lol. Also Williams was cutting low to take white out at the legs which was illegal then and it's illegal now called a chop block. So I would say White was absolutely dominating as was Santana Dotson. Both them and Gilbert Brown were unstoppable!
This is after the accident so erik still did a good job on him but he did manhandle Reggie by himself in the playoffs prior to his car accident. Yes. If you watch that one,as hard as that is to believe, He manhandled Reggie.

I thought Williams did a really good job on White although White didn’t do bad either. Aikman was getting the ball off really quick but Williams did seem to slow him down and contain him most of the time. Other times White seemed to threaten but the delivery was so quick. I think this is pretty reasonable expectation blocking someone like White. Honestly though I think if it was LT he would’ve gotten through even on some of those quick deliveries. That’s why I think Williams did a pretty good job. He nullified White for most of the game but the Cowboys ran away from White and got the ball off quick. Good matchup.

@@mykull666 Whem i said something bad about him?, i think he was an excellent runner, very smart, productive durable, an all time great but those years with those linemen was a videogame hack
@@alejandroontiveros4681
Once again, watch his highlights from high school, college, and Cardinals and explain how no matter who he played for at all competitive levels, it looks just like the Cowboys highlights from his first 5 years.
Every time I tell someone to go watch those videos, they never do, they just respond with a comment like yours.
Take 5 to 10 minutes out of your day just to see the truth and not what you want to remember.
If you do you'll either assume he just had the best o-line his entire life or you'll realize his vision, patience, and burst account for more of his success than 5 or 6 guys who will never be in the Hall of Fame.
He made them, not the other way around. The proof is in the videos you all refuse to watch.
@@alejandroontiveros4681
Also, why couldn't any of his backups or even Moose Johnston run behind that line anywhere close to what he did?
If those holes were really that big, why did everyone else fail to do what he did?
It's always good to see the cowboys whip any team
Now the Pack just kicks the crap out of them at will.
7 field goals is whipping?
Evenly matched, they battled to the death that day
If Eric Williams hadn't had that car wreck, he would've been in the hof too!!
6:24 look at that mutual respect
that 's real nice, we dont see much good O-line clip on the tube
This is the 6 FG game. 90's Cowboys owned the Packers, similar to their 49ers matchups. Likely because Dallas was built to beat the 49ers and the Packers were a Central division version.
All three of these guys I would want on my team no days it be hard to have all 3 on 1 team and pay them, such great talent White, Williams, Allen
You know it’s bad ass when your nick name is “The Minister of Defense” 😂
Just because Reggie was a Christofascist doesn't make his nickname bad ass. Great player, shitty and hateful human, like many other Christians.
Erik Williams should be in the Hall of Fame he is the best Right Tackle to ever play the game the only player who could block and dominate Reggie White one on one he and Larry Allen combined to be the greatest right side of the Oline of all times period!!!
Darren Woodson explains why EW wasn't a HOFer. ruclips.net/video/5MXIeIKHxe0/видео.html&ab_channel=ESPN
@@RenegadeRebel83people are fixated in stats. They think if a de doesn't have 8 sacks in a game, he was dominated. They have no idea about D lone grading. They're fantasy football douches
@@chadmatey3412the big E own Reggie white
I thought Williams did a really good job on White although White didn’t do bad either.
Aikman was getting the ball off really quick but Williams did seem to slow him down and contain him most of the time.
Other times White seemed to threaten but the delivery was so quick.
I think this is pretty reasonable expectation blocking someone like White.
Honestly though I think if it was LT he would’ve gotten through even on some of those quick deliveries.
That’s why I think Williams did a pretty good job.
He nullified White for most of the game but the Cowboys ran away from White and got the ball off quick.
Good matchup.
Allen would block the snot out of you, but Williams would follow that up with a complimentary bludgeoning after.
You notice that no DT that took on Larry got passed the line of scrimmage lol
Here's a big "what if" for you. Take a moment to imagine if in 1984 the Giants had selected Reggie White instead of Gary Zimmerman. Does anybody remember this if you were around then?
Reggie was getting better as the game went on wtf ❗️
I don't recall Reggie White ever taking a cheap shot at any quarterback. He lived what he preached.
Reggie was nearly done at 35, a five sack season is not the standard. I remember an older Joe Jacoby playing right tackle for the Redskins DOMINATING a 29 year old Reggie White in the playoffs.
Nearly done? He had 8 sacks that year, following year he had 11, then after that 16 and won the DPOY.
The Cowboys O-Line in the 90s was an embarrassment of riches.
Newton
Allen
Williams
Stepnoski
Tuinei
They were all legendary.
This is the Chris Bonioll game where he kicked 7 field goals
I was at that game great times
That’s the best oline in history and I’m an Eagles fan😊Eric would have been the greatest tackle ever if not for the accident. Reggie will always be an Eagle
For sure
not sure if anyone here noticed it looked like when they ran the ball they ran away from reggies side every time- it was a good battle both has loses and wins
I wish we had seen prime Reggie White vs prime Erik Williams.
Back when there wasnt so much social media back when the cowboys were great
Imagine complaining about social media while using social media. It's like complaining about the invention of the automobile while driving an automobile.
No holding calls on the offense really messed up the game😢
This was post accident EW...not as dominant as 2 years prior
Wish big E and Larry had sons exactly like them.
Lots of quick passes by Aikman
He was pissed because he got his ass handed to him all day long! 😂😂😂
Facing those two all day has gotta be a shitty day at the office. Thats most defensive ends nightmares
It was the old lion vs the younger lion. Reggie by this time had many battles in the trenches of which he won most.
Erik Williams wasn’t totally himself either. He had been a car wreck which ultimately ruined his career. Still pretty good after but wasn’t the brutal monster he was before the accident
Yeah it takes two guys like that to even think about dealing with Reggie.
out of character for reggie to lose his cool, you could tell erik williams and larry allen were frustrating him, rare to see an offensive lineman go one on one with reggie white but that's pretty much what they did.
Holding REGGIE WHITE more like it 😂
cry more
Yes I saw it a few times here too. He used to use the hand to face block a lot against good DEs. Never got flagged.
That was a terrible throw in the end zone to Irvin. He was open
I don't seem to recall Reggie White complaining when the Eagles did the fake kneel down but he goes apesh*t when the kicker gets a shot at an NFL record.
You play4 quarters of football not three not 3 1/2. Your job to that team is to keep going until the other team can’t stop you from scoring no matter what the score is if you have a problem with the other team, running up the score, then you shouldn’t be playing football or any sport for that matter, your job is for the defense is to the other team from scoring no matter what the score is
They never had problems with anybody. That's why they won like they did. Without them up front you'd never who Emmett smith was.
Green Bay got wine for all that cheese! 😮😮😮😮😮
Erik Williams is listed as 190 lbs. today
Williams was the only lineman to ever handle Reggie White. That being said, he got away with a lot of holds and illegal hands to the face to do it.
It was legal back then - not the holding but the head slaps.... Made Rev. White cuss....
The Packers finally got over the hump in 96 and won the Super Bowl. Still Favre couldn't win at Texas Stadium and he NEVER did going 0-9.
Big E taking your beating like a man
Man Reggie white is scary
Reggie was still pushing those guys back even though he was past his prime
Whenever I see this offensive line, I just wonder how many records Barry Sanders would have broken if he was their running back.
It would have been interesting to see Barry and Emmitt change teams and see how their careers would have gone
I remember this game Eric Williams had Reggie White so mad he literally threw Eric down with one arm and I think this was the game when Reggie left for the locker room he was cussing and threw the finger to all the fans I said I thought Reggie was a Christian I guess Eric changed all that He had Reggie’s number all day long That was a great time in the NFL And what I can say now is the team we have looks great but they are nothing like the team Troy and Jimmy had We wont win anything in the playoffs until we have a team like this one
Brett Farve NEVER beat Dallas in Dallas including all playoff games! Only time he beat them was at the end of Cowboys dynasty in GB in playoffs!
That was a unified team with great leadership. When tou see teams unified like that they usually are s.b champions and thats not a coincidence, this dallas team hasnt been close to being a unified team since dez. He could rally the troops and was a leader. Sean lee was another leader. Theres no leaders on this team parsons tries but he too negative and taking shots at his qb and coach in the media and acts like he better then his teamates
People always forget Erik Williams becuase of the car accident
He would have been the best. I saw him out that night. I was with a friend of mine and when I drank I took cabs. I commented to my friend why aren't these guys taking cabs on multiple occasions.
@@williamfrawley1175Especially with the money they were making ...
Erik Williams never even hit his prime.
😭 he was 26 years old..
Prime age for males is 27-31
Who knows what he was going to be.
The Packers end up winning the SB in 96.
Larry Allen might have been the best offensive player of all time.. and I hate the cowboys.
Eric Williams handled Reggie 1 on 1
Reggie got sacks in that game and forced fumble
Jerry sold his soul for a few amazing years, and the Devil has been collecting souls from Cowboy Fans ever since. And Green Bay is UNDEFEATED in Jerry World!!!
Reggie got push, but not enuff to get Troy
White never seemed to have a very good game when the Packers played Dallas
White got the last laugh that year didn't he? Cowboys didn't even make it to the NFC Championship.
0-9 record Brett Farve at Texas Stadium!!!!😅
He got a superbowl win that season
At the end Michael Irvin yapping at Reggie White like a Chihuahua and a Rottweiler 😅
Irvin was strong AF, revolutionized the position. Also, scoreboard
Stop!!! Reggie was old and beat up by then. That’s like showing tape of Larry Holmes beating up Muhammad Ali and saying look how good Holmes is. Ridiculous!!!
He won dpoy the next season
