When I see little vehicles parked taking up two spots at a truck stop, I sometimes park in front of them so that no one can steal their special little vehicle. And I don’t even charge them a dime for my protective services! 🤗

When my wife and ran team we'd see guys too lazy to walk 100 feet to a rest room, it was crazy. So,,, MY wife would call up the company and ask for the man's HR dept. As she told this other woman about this animal like behavior she would get results. We'd see the man answer his phone looking about for a camera or to see who had reported his actions. Woman to woman got action, it's this kind of drivers that got us tossed from Walmart parking lots.
Yes, I miss the convenience of Walmart parking. I never did anything bad there, but always saw others leave trash, mangled carts, etc.

Working for different fleets big and small. I would get so mad from a lot of people in the office treating like a box of rocks. But after being a co driver with different drivers now I understand why most drivers don't get respect anymore and many places don't want trucks to park in there anymore

Wow! Been driving since 1973 (truckers were "Kings of the Road" back then). Have been driving motor coach now for a few years. I don't miss the routine I see on these videos at the truck stops. However, I still, on occasion, do the truckstop when it's convenient for a meal. Was at one last week and the lady at the cashier counter growled at me about parking where I did. I politely apologized and asked her where I could park while I grabbed a bite to eat in their restaurant. I thought her jaw was going to hit the counter and she changed her tune quickly to match my politeness and told me that I was just fine parked where I was and she apologized for her original abruptness. In the restaurant, my server approached me with the, "Hope I don't have to deal with another a$$hole," tone to her voice. I was as polite to her as I am to any server in a good restaurant. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and asked her to hold the hash browns and toast (I'm a borderline diabetic). She then asked if I would like something like cottage cheese and tomatoes instead. Right on! Got great service for the whole meal (and a good tip...I'm not cheap)! When I left, the lady at the cashier counter gave me a friendly, "Have a good evening, sir!" These people who work at truckstops are so used to being subjected to boneheaded, bottom-feeding a$$holes, that when somebody is civil and polite with them, it's a breath of fresh air! Those of you who aren't boneheaded a$$holes...treat your truck stop personnel well...they're just trying to eek out a living like the rest of us! BTW, works at shippers, receivers, and coups as well!

I didn't mean to imply all of you guys out there are boneheaded a$$holes. But I tell you what, common courtesy and decency toward fellow human beings is becoming more and more a rarity in this day-n-age. Ricky and Trey, kudos to you!!! You know, I even make it a point to go out of my way to let our shop hands know how much I appreciate them giving me a clean motorcoach before I leave the barn for a trip. I look at the name on the "Ready for Trip" form left in the driver's seat before my pre-trip. I go to that guy and thank him for my clean coach. Does it pay off? Damn right, it does!

@@michaelquillen2679 1973, back in the day when cabovers were common. Why they were so common was the length & weight laws were different back then. Shorter tractor meant longer trailer & longer tractor meant shorter trailer. Then later on the length & weight limits increased which allowed conventional cabs to pull longer trailers & carry heavier loads. So when the shorter length & lighter weight limits were lifted, cabovers were no longer necessities.

3:46 - That is DISGUSTING. I'm a pack-a-day smoker, and have been for 26 years. Not once have I EVER tossed a cigarette butt out my window. Ash from the lit cigarette, yes, but NEVER the butt. Butt Buckets are a convenient ashtray that fit in nearly every cup holder, don't cost much, and last a LONG time. One of mine is so old, I was once concerned it wouldn't be Y2K-compliant. 🤣 Or use a soda bottle/water bottle that has about half an inch of liquid at the bottom, extinguishes a butt instantly. GIVE A HOOT 🦉 DON'T POLLUTE!
Going the wrong way at a truck stop has happened to every driver...it's an easy mistake to make at some stops.
Naw buddy, only time I came in the wrong way is because I noticed a spot open & order to get to it without blind siding it was to come in the wrong way

@@TJ-100 Okay so how is you doing it on purpose any better than doing it on accident? OP is right. A lot of these places make it very confusing by having weird and even counter- intuitive layouts. They also like to make the entry/exit signs as small as possible and post them where you can't see them around trees/shrubs/etc. Mom and pop stops tend to be especially bad about this.
It happens and I don't fault people for it so long as they aren't barreling through like a bat out of Hell.

Saw some pervert years ago take a leak in the truck parking in front of a McDonald's playground with a smile on his face. One of the mothers came out to inform him that the cops were coming. He gets in a flatbed and slowly leaves. Don't know what happened to him but a few miles down the road he had 3 cop cars around him on the side of the interstate. He was in cuffs.
After 42 years (1975-2017) OTR, and cleaned out my last tractor, I admit I missed the road. After watching BHT for as long as it's been on, I damn sure don't miss that shit. A cold beer and a recliner is MUCH better!
I've been to that pilot in CT. They have a security guard who will kick you out. Driver definitely should have known better than to go out the in.

Heyyyyy!!!! Thats My local Truckstop!!!!!! Milford Pilot made it on bonehead truckers!!!!!!! 203 Baby!! That is one busy truck stop. I prefer to park up at the Walmart about a quarter mile from the Pilot. Although Ive been to way crazier Pilots like Rotterdam NY and Fultonville. Godbless and be safe drivers. ❤️❤️❤️

Explain this to me. Buddy of mine gets arrested for pee'ing outside of a bar, gets hit with exposure and some other horrible charges, yet these drivers get caught on cam clearing peeing in public, in fact in the most public of all public places, and nothing happens. WTF.
If someone sees it and reports it to local police they will be ticketed. My buddy got ticketed for urinating in public on the side of an on ramp once. A female state trooper saw him and wrote him a big ole ticket.

Hey Bonehead Truckers, I like your vids. I have always respected all truckers- they took on the responsibility of driving a rig safely and competently, away from family and friends, hours on end, encountering all kinds of roads, all kinds of traffic, all kinds of weather, all kinds of idiot car and pick-up drivers, and got the job done. The respect was a given. A trucker starts out with a great amount, Their actions can increase that amount, or decrease that amount. I thank you for showcasing the idiots who detract from the overall professional image. Keep showing the names of the companies. Keep doing what you're doing.

I keep a good 30 large bottles to use as pee bottles worst case scenario when ive got no choice but to let it out in an emergency.
Also, ive never been so pissed off at a truck stop than when i saw a damned Sprinter Van sitting in a full size truckspot
The half gallon "simply orange/lemonade" bottles are the best.
I'm going to be honest here, one of my guilty pleasures of driving a truck is being able to wake up, not get out of bed and take a leak in a bottle and then go back to sleep.
I keep a gallon jug, and empty it whenever I come across a porta-john.
It gets a bit whiffy after a while, but they're easy to replace.
I keep those gallon size ozarka water bottles in my truck. I also keep a camping toilet ready to go in my bunk for emergencies. I take metformin and water pills so sometimes I have no choice but to hit a ramp and go.

It's a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat and lid. Just add a 13 gallon kitchen bag and you're set.... you still need to pee in a bottle.
Oh, don't get cheap on the bags, you are going to want the good stuff.
But, yeah, makes those -°20F rest stop 10 hour breaks downright civilized. Or if it's pouring rain, you're in the back 40 at a petro and that food truck burrito wants out in a hurry.
Sprinter vans are notorious for taking up the pull throughs at rest areas. It doesn't make sense.

2:45 Really? Middle of the night and the dude has his hazard lights on. I've done that before when driving in the middle of nowhere. You stop just long enough to grab something to eat and use the bathroom and you leave. There's still plenty of places all across the country where's the no truck parking for a hundred miles in any direction.
Years ago we referred to this tactic as "forcing truck parking".
I just yelled at a driver for wanting to park at the scale to get a coffee. I told him as he got out the truck an embarrassed him . Told him look in front of you a parking spot. Told him don't be a dick and if he parked right it would save him the grief of someone trying to use the car scale properly. Amazing he listened to me. Didn't park at the scale and parked correctly in a parking spot. I was glad I got a chance to school him. But some drivers are to scared to approach them. We need to do our share and educate these fools cause it's not only hurting the industry but it's also hurting us cause than places will restrict more and more places.. you see something dumb say something. I'm not saying start an argument but educate these fools.
The answer: Urinals at fuel islands.
Sounds nasty, but think about it.
Old Co-driver taught me so much, and one thing was the worst drivers were the rental trucks like UHAUL, as the renters probably had never driven a vehicle that big, 2nd worse was Motor homes, travel trailer draggers because they only get on the road once a year. 3rd was the very old or the very young, because they either forgot or had not learned the skills they needed. Also, "If you see three cars in a row using their turn signals correctly, you were seeing a Funeral Procession." He was a smart old trucker.
This is the dumb stuff I dont miss. An episode of bonehead truckers cures my white line fever. Them peelots will be starting to get ripe.
I love night driving I fuel up take a shower and get food all while on the fuel island 😂

@@gailmorra I once had a newb that I teamed with and when he got on my truck, I explained the rules of the truck. One of them was this is our home and office, it's not a bathroom...If you have to go we will stop so you can, period. I also explained, I'm not your mom or dad, so be responsible and clean up after you make a mess. We never had any issues.

If I owned a truck stop I'd partner up with a local heavy tow company and profit from having him tow all the folks blocking the fuel lanes and scales.
One of these days I’m gonna walk into a truck stop. Go to the food section, order my meal and eat it right at the counter. Tell everyone behind me to wait til I’m done, then they can order. How will that go over? I think like a lead balloon.
I know it kills a lot of guys but I love the voice overs. As for wrong way Ronnie, at least when he decides to back up, he seems able to get out of Dodge. When someone does a 30 minute in the fuel island i pull up and back in front of them that way they have to wait for me to leave. Had one guy walk out as I did it and said he needed to go, I said ok, grabbed my keys and walked inside. I guess he backed up and left because he was gone when I got back. Lots of children driving trucks these days.
There's an unofficial truckstop (pulloff) along i78 that I occasionally stop at. I honestly can't believe how bad it reeks of urine.
Last one, Run in and flush all the toilets at once while He's showering.
They opened a new “travel center” down near our barn. We’re in an industrial park with two huge warehouses that run 24/7. The OTR trucks had piss bottles and trash all over the place, parked on corners/took out a fence the first week it was open. Within a month overnight parking got banned and the deli/kitchen inside the place got more business because the local drivers who work for the two warehouses (both that deliver to their clients 24/7) couldn’t get in there before because of the place being backed up with OTR trucks can now go there, buy lunch and things from the store. They also no longer have to pay someone to cleanup the trash. This info came from the management who owns this “travel center.”

I use to work for a gasoline station business delivering home heating oil. On the premises was a dumpster and gasoline customers would piss behind the dumpster. Some even pooped. The smell of urine was bad during the summer months. So bad the entire business lot at times would smell like urine. I would pour powdered lime down and the smell would eventually go away.
I pulled into a truck parkway along US131 near the southern border of Michigan and found a gallon jug of piss dead center of one of the parking spaces. I was appalled and even more disappointed that I didn't take a video for Bonehead Truckers!
Yea that`s in Milford Ct. It is the worse entrance ever for a truck. There is so much land the could of put the exit and entrance right at the main road.
Start paying more and make it a requirement to pass a CDL road test with a manual transmission. Those two things alone would clean up this whole industry.
It wouldn't honestly.. most people can drive a manual.. they just choose not too. It isn't as lost an art as people think. Also mega carriers don't have manuals on hand anymore more efficient to have a fleet of automatics. It just makes sense
I tested in a manual and of course now a company driver I have an auto Cascadia. I miss the manual though honestly. Feels good knowing I passed the test in a manual TBH🤣 Ironically despite my truck being an auto, there is a setting to drive it manually using the joystick so I still manually shift it that way. Not nearly as satisfying as an actual shifter but it at least keeps me a little bit more engaged driving.
higher pay definitely would help people give a shit, but manual? Hardly relevant.

Somebody driving a truck like an absolute asshole has little bearing on their technical learning ability. If you want to weed out more of those assholes, you should make training more through in Trainers ensuring their students are having the laws of the road stick in their head, and get rid of the student if they aren't.
Manuals have nothing to do with this.
Early in the pandemic, very few places would let you use the indoor facilities. Drivers got used to the fresh air urinals and there's no going back.
I dont mind when hotshot drivers park their pickups and gooseneck trailers in the long parking with the tractor trailers. I used to do that, sleeping in the back seat and stuff. Its rough and it can suck sleeping on a seat. And they gotta sleep too. But when people park their straight-trucks taking a whole parking lane and they take an Uber to a hotel? (particularly when they do not park all the way back, wasting room a bobtail could use!) That burns my brisket. Just park at the dang hotel!
That Wawa fuel station at 2:33 got the image of a bird on the sign. Here in Ontario, Canada, we have a city named Wawa. It’s known for its large highway landmark of a Canadian goose.

The Amazon truck is being driven by a clueless foreigner, they park wherever they feel like.
As far as that straight truck goes, those lines are so faded that the driver might not have seen them if he parked there in the dark of night. Also he might be parked that way because another truck driver might have been taking two spaces because he couldn’t see the lines. I have done this myself when the lot is not well lit. Before we criticize someone remember there is two sides to every story.

yeah as a ST otr guy I also get the side eye for parking to get some rest but i usually match bumpers with those beside me to tamp down the false hope of others who think their "may be a spot". Kinda pisses me off how some of the trucker karens think we dont need rest too. But they are the same people who park their equipment at the truck stop and go home for the weekend because they are too cheap to pay for local parking. Not to cash money of them.

I'm running routes in the upper Midwest where it stays pretty cold so you see less of this pissing by the catwalk but when I ran the south every morning as the sun was rising and I was eating my breakfast soon as the sun was up all the drivers started coming out of their trucks to PISS on their catwalk or neighbors tires then walk into the truck stop to get their morning coffee totally ruined the sunrise and my breakfast. My ELD lets me go on duty the second I stop moving and lets me roll up to 5 mph while on duty, most of the time I need to sit less than 5 minutes sometimes not at all to hit my 30 while just fueling up and grabbing some snacks and a drink at a truck stop. Do better boys.

Ban box trucks and pickup trucks at trucks stops. Ban morons who are bobtail but still park in a full size spot.
most truck stops don't have designated bobtail parking & they don't want them to park where the cars are at, so there's no other choice but to park in a full size, I've done it plenty of times & I try to avoid parking in a full size, but if a driver who has his truck & trailer, looking for a spot & just so ask me can they have it, I would gladly help them out & move(but it rarely, almost never happens)
That annoys me the most those box truck and regular pick up truck in a semi spot I've gotten in trouble for going negative on my logs more times than I can count because of that crap

yeah as a ST otr guy I also get the side eye for parking to get some rest but i usually match bumpers with those beside me to tamp down the false hope of others who think their "may be a spot". Kinda pisses me off how some of the trucker karens think we dont need rest too as most truck stops dont like us parking ANYWHERE ELSE. But they are the same people who park their equipment at the truck stop and go home for the weekend because they are too cheap to pay for local parking. Not to cash money of them. Batmans gonna batman i guess.

That pad at the pump was a pisspad that you use to housebreaking your dog on or you use them as a matress protection for bedridden folks and yes the 💩 was rolled up on the inside and I spoke with the attendees at the truckstop and they were disgusted and pulled the footage from the camera to send to the company they wouldn't tell me what company it was

I saw a truck just block a highway park in the right lane get out and go into chick fillet for food just parked in the road for 15 min over in Louisiana I did record some of it thought about posting it to bonehead truckers but never did

today i was a bone head trucker. pulled up on the fuel island and went in for 40mins to get my Dennys. lady kept saying itll only be 5mins and fuel island was empty when i got there. i did apologize to the driver that pulled behind.
