    Why didn't you process the sugar cane twice, it looked like a lot of juice was wasted in the pulp since you only ran it once on the machine.

    Nice Video Peak. Can you guide me for how to make 500gm of molasses at home? I've a cane juicer & can produce sugar cane juice at home. Actually I want to know the amount of sugar cane juice required to produce Approx.500 gms/ml of molasses. Also what to do when the juice is boiling..is there a need to remove something from boiling juice? What should be the depth of the container for boiling?

    • @mirchichamu
      @mirchichamu 4 года назад

      Well it is difficult to tell how much juice you need to produce 500 ml molasses. You get the juice. Boil it till turn brown or coffee coloured & concentrated. In between remove the froth what is collected on the surface. That's all.

      Lapis Lazuli - if it’s done right, it will not crystallize. Before it’s done, add a pinch of baking soda will darken it and it will not crystallize. Even in cold weather, mine last over a year and still like day one.

    I wonder if this is how they did it in the carribbean? I guess the only difference would have been the size of the press. The plantation presses out in Jamaica and Barbados would have been HUGE! Have you guys made rum out of this yet? Probably would add more to your profits! Lol.

      Growing sugarcane, cutting it down, pressing the juice, boiling, skimming and bottling. There should be three boilings for the accurate one.

    • @sanatani_girl01
      @sanatani_girl01 4 года назад

      @@NA-NA_MUSIC you have to boil it to reduce it to syrup consistency, just like they did in this video. This is the first molasses. You have to rest this syrup for 24 hrs before you proceed to the next boil to let the crystallization of sugar happen. The second boil will give you second molasses and similarly the third boil would yeild blackstrap molasses. If you boil it all the way through, the heat will scorch the sugars in the cane juice and caramelize it.

      @@sanatani_girl01 how long are the 2nd and 3rd boil usually? And do you add water each time or just simmer it for a bit so you dont thicken it to much?
