    Jason Galvin. What an absolute hero, and all of you who stayed with it. A really good soul. I am in the UK, far away, but we are animal lovers and that was wonderful. I hope Freedom is on the wind again . Bless all of you. Our best.

    You can't go more American than this: driving a F150, being a veteran, and saving a life using a gun.

    This is a wonderful story, but the police & wildlife officers knew about this for two days and couldn't do anything? Out of their jurisdiction? I'm calling BULLSHIT on that.
    Just looking at the tree, an arborist or tree surgeon could have had that branch down in a few hours & controlled the descent of the branch to make sure it didn't injure the eagle.
    And, what if the young man had hit the eagle with one of his shots? Bad for the eagle, but bad for the veteran too. And don't think the authorities wouldn't have turned on him if it hadn't ended well.

    • @classiclistener01
      @classiclistener01 8 лет назад +12

      You're correct, it is BS. There's not a single square inch of this nation that's not under some or several law enforcement's jurisdiction. Also, the people who handle birds of prey require a federal license and have jurisdiction everywhere in the US.
      Our own national symbol left for two days to suffer in a tree on 4th of July Weekend...by our own government!?!? Now, everyone knows about it.

    • @M4Inchan
      @M4Inchan 8 лет назад +1

      Not only this but the shockwave alone from the shell could have damaged the eagles internal organs if the shell was close enough. Not to mention shrapnel from the tree.

    • @M4Inchan

      +dobrodave123 For humans it would mean nothing. For birds, having much more frail bodies (i.e air sacs, bones, etc) it can be a lot more devastating.

    • @classiclistener01
      @classiclistener01 8 лет назад

      C'mon, Bro...ha-ha...I was gonna make that same comment but didn't. He means, at least I believe he means, the 'impact' of the 'bullet' upon the nearby branch. And, .22LR bullets do splash, and, ricochet, upon impact being soft lead and traveling at such a low speed.

  • @JonHeckendorf

That is just broken. How did the rope get around the leg in the first place?
